Came in for the first time, and although I had a hard time figuring out where it was in the shipping center, it was super cute inside. We had the bubbles flights and they were wonderful. We also got the meat/cheese plate, and although it wasn't as fancy as a charcuterie board, it gave us something to snack on while enjoying our bubbles. Great hidden gem!

First time visiting this location and it was very nice. Good selection of wines. We had the champagne flights and a meat and cheese tray. Service was great and I love the shopping area this is located in. Very nice experience

First time visiting. Met a friend here for a business meeting. Small, cozy. You can order cheese plates or order from neighboring restaurants. Service was great. Lots of alcoholic selections. I got a grapefruit radler which very few places have. Prices are great! I will be back!

Quality/Quantity - My buddy and I have both been wanting to visit this location for a long time. And since Whole Foods' tap room was a HUGE disappointment today (no more food service), we decided to get our last glass of wine here. Well, bottle service was even better. No corkage fee. But definitely more than what we both wanted to drink, but that still did not stop us, lol. Sticking with whites (since we did oyster Friday at Whole Foods). We got a bottle of Far Niente Post & Beam Chardonnay. Sat at the bar and enjoyed life. Atmosphere - Cool local spot. Many regular locals here. It looked like everyone knew everyone. Many case pickups, purchases, etc. A fairly large selection of wines which I did not get a chance to study. See pictures. Although they were busy, there were plenty of seating; indoor, outdoor, bar, etc. Open 6 days a week from 11am to 8pm or 9pm; closed Sundays. Plenty of mall parking. Service - 5 Stars, everyone was welcoming. Even suggested that since we are buying two glasses of wine, it would be a better deal getting a bottle, which we ended up doing. Price - $38 + tip, very reasonably priced. We will be regular customers, thank you. Next time, I will take the time to walk and see all your wine selections. Case discounts, etc. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success here since 2010 and at your 4th Street location since 2015. My goal is to visit that location also.

Love Whispering Vine Wine here in South Reno. I'm not much of a wine drinker, but this is where I go with my wine enthusiast friend when I have a party to plan and need good wine at a great price. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. They have a huge selection that is very well organized and easy to find what you need. But it is not only a great place to purchase wine, you can bring your friends and family and order a glass or bottle of wine and socialize. They also serve beer and champagne as well. There is a nice counter bar area but also lots of table throughout the space to accommodate small to larger sized groups. They do not serve food but you can order and bring in food from the restaurants there in South Creek to enjoy. Specifically, South Creek Pizza, Yoshi's and Los Compadres. In the past my friends and I ordered from Yoshi's and they even delivered it to us there at Whispering Vine! I highly recommend this place for great wines and also a nice place to just hang out and wind down after a long day.

Hoped to get a wine on sale but they were all out so bought a Ferrari Carrano Chardonnay and a Whispering Vine Rose both decently priced under $20. The store was not busy so browsed a little then made selections. My friend has a punch card so I let her get my points as I'm not in the area very often. Friendly staff member but didn't offer any tasting which would have been nice. Pretty good selection but seemed to be out of a lot of their more premium wines. Nice shopping and lunch spots nearby.

Whispering Vine South Reno is one of my go-to spots when I'm in the mood for great wine without breaking the bank. Pricing is absolutely great here and there is a ton of fabulous wines to choose from--they always have something unique or interesting on the list, whether you're into bold reds, crisp whites, or something bubbly. I have noticed that the service never seems to be that great when you sit on the patio. It's a beautiful space, but I've consistently found that it takes longer to get acknowledged and/or your order brought to you when you're outside compared to sitting at the bar or inside. Still, if you're a wine lover looking for variety and value, Whispering Vine on Foothill Road is definitely worth checking out--just be prepared to be a little more patient if you're dining al fresco.

Always great at this location of Whispering Vine. The service is excellent, the team know their wines and always help with a recommendation if needed. We sat outside on a beautiful afternoon. Inside seating available too. Very large selection of wines. Beautiful baskets created to give as gifts on display.

Fabulous venue for wine tasting. Sat at the bar, but next time will grab a table among the wine shelves. Loved the current flight of red varieties. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Loads of regulars, so arrive early on a Friday. Shop, chat, taste, enjoy!

We swung by here on a Thursday around 4pm before heading to pizza for dinner. It was fairly busy, all the table seating was taken as far as I could see, but there was some room at the bar. This place is more a wine store with table seating placed between shelves of wines for sale. Layout is still nice with room enough to peruse the shelves while people chat and drink wine. You can either buy by the glass or try a set flight of three. We got the Chardonnay flight and I have to say the pours were pretty generous. $10 for the flight. If you come with someone who isn't into wine, there was a nice selection of whiskeys that I saw on the bar and a small cocktail list. Great little stop before or after shopping or eating at the Foothill plaza.

Previously you had to enter in the back from an alley, since they were going for the speak-easy vibe and had a facade of a surplus store in the front. They have booths and tables, as well as plenty of bar seating; the bar is quite long. They do have a stage and we were told they have live entertainment. Among the tables they have a variety of games to play. We were very pleased to learn that they allow dogs! On Wednesdays they have all-night happy hour with 2 for 1 drafts (including some wine selections and a cider option) and well drinks. Cut and pasted from their website: "Slieve means "A…read moreMountain" in Irish Gaelic, their family roots." Quality/Quantity - Been an extremely long stressful day! So I NEEDED a break from the day to just relax and stop thinking! I gave my wife a few options, a few breweries to choose from (or for me to just go alone, which she would not have let me drink and drive, especially all the way from North Reno). So she/we chose to go to Slieve as I have not been there yet. Actually, all 3 choices were breweries. The good news is that there are more and more new breweries opening. The bad news is that there are more and more good breweries closing, in ALL my hometowns... My first time in a nano brewery; cool. Today I got (and tried the following), all Slieve brands; support local: Oh, I did not know you had a happy hour M-F from 2-5pm; I just missed it by 13 minutes... Should not have spent so much time outside taking pictures for Yelp, lol. Pale Ale - Good, but I prefer more flavor. This is currently my second "go to" beer after reds. Jimbo Porter - Better, but then I tried the Cookie Monster! I also did not taste the coconut. Cookie Monster - My favorite of the beers, so much flavor. And I am NOT usually a sweet beer drinker. It was not an overwhelming stout, probably due to the sweetness, but you can definitely taste the chocolate and slightly coffee and caramel flavors. I would get this again, but it would always have to be my last beer due to the flavors. Beers that I need to come back for when available are: Your reds, IPAs and of course your "Trinity Tripel." Ambiance - On your "about" page on your website, it says you are still looking for a home for your brewery...? Is that accurate or does that page need to be updated? Cool space, indoor and outdoor seating. Bar and table seating. 2 bars, one the back, probably only used for events. Semi private room when you walk in. Ping pong, darts, games, cornhole, cool decor on walls throughout to read, etc. Open 7 days a week, see their website. Yelp's hours/days differ slightly. Event spaces are available; see their website.. Service - Good. We were also greeted by Shannon when she and Phillip came in later for a drink or two... Phillip was too busy drinking to say hi, lol. Price - $8 a beer. The typical cost for good craft beer. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2022 with your nanobrewery; I wish you the best and am glad you own the building to help you weather some "storms."
