Nestled in the heart of Peekskill, this restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. Upon entering the establishment, I was immediately greeted by friendly and attentive staff members who made me feel welcomed. The interior of the restaurant exudes a modern yet cozy vibe, with its stylish decor, comfortable seating, and a lively bar area. The ambiance strikes a balance between being energetic and relaxed, making it suitable for a casual night out or a gathering with friends. The night I came to visit they had a public section that was lively and entertaining as well as a group night out amongst friends and family occurring on the other side of the establishment. They were playing great music and typical bar games of dart and cornhole. Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at Peekskill Public Bar and Grill is diverse, featuring a range of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and main courses to cater to different tastes. I opted for their signature bleu burger, and I was blown away by the flavor and quality of the dish. The patty was juicy, perfectly cooked to my liking, and topped with fresh ingredients that added layers of taste and texture. The accompanying Caesar salad was crispy and seasoned just right. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that I left the restaurant satisfied. The Buff-a-Que wings was a great starter meal. The wings were a blend of Buffalo and bbq sauces and had great texture and taste. The bar at Peekskill Public is worth mentioning as well. They offer an extensive selection of beers, wines, and cocktails, providing something for everyone. The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly, creating a welcoming environment for both casual drinkers and connoisseurs. What impressed me most about this restaurant was the exceptional service. The staff members were attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and went out of their way to ensure that my dining experience was enjoyable. From taking orders promptly to offering recommendations and accommodating special requests, the service was top-notch. In terms of pricing, Peekskill Public Bar and Grill offers great value for the quality of food and service they provide. While it may not be the cheapest option in town, the reasonable prices are justified by the overall dining experience and the attention to detail in every aspect. Peekskill Public Bar and Grill is a fantastic dining establishment that excels in food quality, service, and ambiance. Whether you're looking for a great burger, a refreshing drink, or a lively evening out, this restaurant is worth a visit. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning soon to try more of their delectable offerings. Follow more of my video food reviews on TikTok at biglee52291 and on at _where_is_seth

The restaurant was extremely busy and clearly understaffed -- there were only two servers working incredibly hard. Service was definitely slow, but I give them a lot of credit for doing their best under the circumstances. They were very gracious and even brought us a complimentary drink to apologize for the wait, which was a really nice touch. Despite the delays, the food was excellent. The nachos were great, the French dip and chicken sandwich were both very good, and honestly, the fries were some of the best I've ever had. We also tried their house-made beer, which was delicious. One thing to note is the layout of the restaurant. It's right next to (and partially within) the arcade, so it can get very loud with lots of kids running around and yelling. I can definitely see the appeal for parents -- being able to eat and have a drink while keeping an eye on their kids is a big plus. For those without kids or looking for a quieter, kid-free night, it's just something to be aware of. That said, I'd love to come back in the summer and sit on the outdoor deck along the water. Overall, a cool spot with great food.

Past three times I've been, they have been dry to the point of overcooked and hollow. But the burgers are good and other menu items are also tasty. Disappointing that they shut down early weekdays. Especially Wednesdays! lol. Dining area holds plenty of seating indoors and out. View of Hudson River is awesome! Staff are all good people! Bar outside is not too bad. Good social spot! Like I said. I like this place and will still visit. So solid two thumbs up.

If that's your thing, then 4+ stars! Will also give a big thumbs up to the decor -- loved what was on the walls and the floors looked like they'd recently been redone. Various dishes our group had included a breakfast sandwich with sausage; an omelette, which was probably the healthiest option of what folks got; a cheeseburger; someone else got a French dip kind of sandwich. French fries were fought over -- so also a thumbs up for them. Again, I was the outlier in our group and in other reviews so I do plan to return to give it another chance. Check out the menu and other reviews and maybe you'll give it four or more stars!

The beef sliders were missing the half the things that were supposed to be on it, and had a super sharp bone that was dangerous. The corn beef and cabbage eggrolls were gross. The Irish latkas have a nice flavor and the potato/cheese mix was really good, add in that onion and bang you have an amazing flavor. I would have liked it to be a little more crispy. Let's talk main courses: we had a variety of food ranging from burgers to steak. The fries are fresh cut and cooked to a nice crisp. The burgers were cooked to order and from what I was told had nice flavor. The roast beef sandwich was fantastic. Cooked to perfection and the cheese was a great hit. The sliders were cooked right and had nice flavor with the onions and cheese The hush puppies were ok very fishy flavor. The skirt steak was cooked to perfection and I got fries instead of mashed and enjoyed it very much. The Buffalo wings have a little kick nothing over the top. My daughter liked them but said it could be a little hotter. Dessert is missing, they have a ice cream sundae and that was all. The ambiance is a relaxed bar like atmosphere. The first floor can be pretty loud. They have plenty of tvs on the walls. The seating is alot of hightops, upstairs has a few tables and a little quieter then downstairs. Service is ok, not sure if the delays with the kitchen being a busy Saturday night or the fact that we were upstairs and had to keep running up and downstairs.

But I felt they are bit on the expensive side for what they are. Honestly, I rather eat four tacos that are $3.50 each at 14$ somewhere else. Unfortunately, the service sucked. The waiter had an unfriendly demeanor from the start. He glared at me as I came in through the door, but then didn't bother to say hello. He then proceeded to be unfriendly and unpleasant throughout my visit. But the straw that broke the horses back was when he started to yell at me to "hold on ! Hold on!" To find it, drive up to the top (third) level and it faces away from the street at the end (furthest from where you drive into the third row). It's a great neighborhood pub that happens to have some indoor virtual golf rooms. There's a lot of space and not so many tables in the front section, which get filled up on trivia night. The service was very friendly. I had the ribs special with fries. I was a bit surprised when it came out with only three ribs. They were also pretty small. On the good side, the meat fell off the bone. The rub, if there was one, was not evident. The sauce that came with it tasted like store-bought sauce. Maybe one of the Jack Daniels BBQs. It was thick and very sweet. Fries were standard shoestring that also felt like they were store bought, but they weren't greasy at all. I'll try the wings next time. If they are not on special, they are pretty expensive if you calculate the cost per wing. Decent beer selection. Guinness comes from the can and they use the small 12oz tulip glasses. They do have a small selection on tap. Prices are reasonable, even for the specials, although the serving size is only good enough for a snack for anyone bigger than a 6th grader. Burgers seemed much bigger and plentiful from what I could see. Trivia on Thursdays is fun, although it is corporate trivia, which is not as much fun as personally tailored trivia that you see in some other places. They have lots of numbers questions or facts that no one would ever know because they are too detailed and the host generally does not understand the answers or mispronounces them. Definitely worth a visit if you are local, but don't come hungry if you plan to order a special.
