What's Brewin feels like coming home anytime I go in there. It's a great local spot, no miss no fuss. You want breakfast, that's what you are getting. If you are looking for a spot to hang out well it doesn't really have that but I don't think it needs it. For the quick on the go busy mom who commutes, it's exactly what I meed on a weekday morning. The staff work so hard, and they are always enjoying each other and make the customer feel like you are part of the group. I 100% respect and appreciate that the owner has been there every time I've gone in right in the trenches with all the staff. Prices are as good as you will find, bagels are always fresh and coffee made perfectly! If you aren't going here, you need to ask yourself why!

So i know I've already left a review of What's Brewin but I truly cannot say enough good things about Kevin. He is probably the friendliest and kindest and most joyful barista/owner ever. And the thin mint coffees are legitimately to die for. The prices are awesome too! I love it here and always will.

I have always loved, appreciated and supported What's Brewin'. However today they've lost me as a customer. I understand there are certain protocols in regards to COVID-19, and I respect that businesses are doing what they can to protect their staff, but there's no reason to be absolutely rude to people who have continually supported them through the years. I came in and forgot my mask because I went for a walk and didn't anticipate going inside anywhere, but since it started raining, I decided to stop by and support since I hadn't visited in awhile. As I've said before, they've been known to be contagiously friendly and nice, and today that couldn't have been further from the truth. They made me feel like I shouldn't be there, and question why I was trying to support a small, local business that doesn't seem to want to treat people with basic respect? So I covered my face with my hood when walking in, anticipating that they may have a mask for me as most businesses do, and right when I came in, they said "you can't order without a mask," pretty much GET OUT, even though I did cover my face fully. By the way, there were no other customers, just 3 people behind the counter. Then the girl at the counter offered me a mask but said I needed to put it on outside. Okay, common sense has left the building? I tried to ask if they had sandwiches available since the last time I visited about a month ago, they weren't, and I didn't get an answer. They just ignored my question 3 times. But I respected their request for me to take 3 steps outside, to put on the mask, to come back in, and make an order. So I came back in and asked if they had sandwiches today, to which the gentleman condescendingly said "we always have sandwiches." I said, "Yeah, well, last time I came in, I was told there were no sandwiches that day" to which he replied "we may have not had bagels but we always have sandwiches." Okay, but you weren't there that day so you don't know exactly why I was told that. It was an argumentative, hostile energy. So I still continued with my order, because I do like and respect Kevin, the owner, and got a breakfast sandwich and a coffee. The coffee was okay, not too strong. The sandwich was alright. Their friendly energy has left the building, as with their respect for their customers. I shouldn't be standing in an establishment asking myself why I am there. It was a great place; I feel bad even having to post this, but I can't support a place that does not act like they even want customers. Thanks for the tea over the years, Kevin.

A lot of coffee choices...like Seattle!

I was blown away by this Beverly coffee shop. We were actually referred here by the owner of Tartine Kitchen a few doors down (I stared getting special with my coffee order). Quite impressive when another business owner who serves coffee will send customers here for a great cup of brew! As soon as I walked in and saw the wall of coffee syrup flavors I knew I was going to love it. After living in Seattle for several years it's hard to find a coffee shop that does espresso right. In Seattle every coffee shop and every coffee cart in every corner can make an Irish Creme Latte...including Starbucks. Joy filled my heart when i looked up at the latte menu and noticed a specialty latte called "Bailey's Irish Creme!" The barista created my drink perfectly...strong espresso, not too milky and the Irish Creme Flavor coming through making this the most balanced flavored coffee drink anyone will ever have. (On a side note, I'm not a fan of too many flavors in my coffee and I only order a few different flavors when available) My trip to Mass is complete this year! I've longed for a great Irish Creme coffee since leaving Seattle many years ago. Now here I am in a small New England town and my dreams are being fulfilled. Do I need to consider moving to Beverly?

Sooooo good! Bagels are delicious, lots of great breakfast sandwich options! Coffee was very good (always love monin syrup) and the coffees were seriously huge :) the workers even knew the regulars names which I thought was sweet, and nice outdoor seating too!

Went this morning for a quick bite. GF got a chocolate donut. I got a bagel sandwich. Sandwich was very good. Egg and cheese with tomato. A small place with 7 or 8 tables. It got real busy quick. and I was impressed that the staff kept up with all the coffee and sandwich orders Drop in for quality foods for a good price

I am very fond of What's Brewin' in Beverly, MA. Their breakfast sandwiches are affordable, fast, and a good size. They have a wide selection of coffee flavors, bagels, and sandwiches to choose from. The outdoor seating is perfect for Summer and Fall! I highly recommend trying the french vanilla coffee and a breakfast sandwich with prosciutto. The only downside is the indoor seating. Sometimes I want to sit down, but it's too cramped inside to find a comfortable seat. Its definitely more of an in-and-out type of place where you wouldn't sit down to do your work. The staff was friendly and they have a coffee punch card for each visit you make (perks, YES). This is the perfect place to grab a coffee and a bite on your way to class, work, or after a long gym-sess. PSA: They ONLY take cash payments, so don't try and go in there otherwise... this has happened to me on a few occasions and I had to take a trip to the ATM. Too good not to bring cash!

I found Crave through the Find Me Gluten-Free app, and the high ratings definitely lived up to the hype! It was just a quick, easy drive, and the bakery was easy to spot. Inside, it's super cute, clean, and welcoming. The menu was surprisingly full of gluten-free options--from breakfast sandwiches to coffee drinks--and their pastry case had about 8-10 different gluten-free and/or dairy-free goodies. I went with the blueberry lemon scone and WOW. It was unreal. Moist and cake-like (not dry and crumbly like many GF scones), with a light glaze and a perfect lemony-sweet flavor. I literally almost cried--it was that good. I savored every bite and was honestly glad I don't live closer, or I'd be there every single day. I also grabbed a cold brew, which they brew in-house and serve on tap. It was strong, smooth, and delicious--just how I like it. Whether you're gluten-free by choice or necessity, Crave is a must-visit. Friendly staff, delicious options, and a cozy vibe--what more could you want? Do yourself a favor and stop in. You won't be disappointed!

We were in the middle of placing an order and they shut down their online system for 15 minutes. So we waited. Two egg sandwiches, one croissant, a coffee with an espresso shot, a hot latte and a chai tea latte. Nothing unusual. Their system said the order would be ready two minutes after it was placed. That's just silly, so we waited 10 minutes before heading over. We arrived and picked up our bag with all the items listed on the receipt and headed back. Turns out, two items were missing that we had already paid for. We now headed back once again to Crave. We thought that maybe we forgot a bag, but no, they just failed to add two items and let us leave. "We tried to call you but your line was busy," was the answer, but that's simply not true. I wasn't on the phone and I have a cell phone -- busy signals do not apply. There was no record of an incoming call either. The attitude of staff was not apologetic whatsoever. A simple, "We're so sorry" would have sufficed. One of the items we had ordered was now out of stock. In fact, one staff member said, "You're the third customer today who didn't get their cinammon croissant," which only revealed the failure of their ordering process. With limited options, we chose the Nutella croissant as a substitute. Returned home and finally ate. One sandwich was delicious (bacon-egg-cheese on a ciabatta roll) but the other had sriracha instead of ketchup as requested -- made a big difference in taste which we did not like. The replacement pastry we were forced to choose tasted very stale and not so much of Nutella. Coffee with a shot and the latte didn't taste particularly strong. Iced chai latte was fine, but nothing to write home about. Not worth $54 -- including a tip for staff that we wished we could rescind. Would NOT return, especially not with all the breakfast options in Beverly. Hard pass.

Rebel has a unique menu where they use a lot of pink salt in their drinks, something I've never seen a coffee place do before. I was skeptical at first and was amazed at how it enhanced the flavor of the drink! And then their food is AMAZING. I got their BLT, and it was lovely! The lettuce and tomato were fresh, and the bacon was cooked to perfection. The sauce they had on it was unbelievable too. Definitely get this sandwich if you're hungry! The staff there are friendly and patient if you don't know what you want. They also have great recommendations, so be sure to ask! The only downside to this spot is that they have limited seating, so it's not ideal for hanging out. Keep that in mind if you're planning on checking this out with a friend. Otherwise, I highly recommend coming here and trying their drinks, again, I have not seen a single coffee spot do what they do.

Food (savory course): I told the server I was vegetarian. She told me that they would bring out extra vegetarian sandwiches, which they did not do. I was stuck there eating bread with a sliver of cucumber (too thin for a crunch) a thin swipe of cream cheese, and one to two flattened micro green sprouts in there. I was hungry and the other sandwiches looked great. Dessert 1 (scone course): Didnt recognize it. they gave us a dry lemon scone with a heck of a lot of icing on top. No cream, no butter, one factory processed jar of strawberry jam. Nothing to ease into the desserts. Dessert 2 (sweet course): All horribly sweet. Madeline was dry and had a hunk of chocolate or something on top. Not at all what I expect a Madeline to be (oven-fresh) and again too sweet. Petit fours: they somehow did this one well. Cream puff: winner. elderflower in this was excellent and it was light fluffy and fresh. Chocolate lumps: no one ate this. Macarons: too sweet. Almond one everyone but my dad hated. The purple one we thought was overly sweet without much flavor but was better than the almond. Chocolate ball with raspberry: intense flavor, pretty good, not sure what was up with the sprinkles. Honestly this is the second time I've been unimpressed, and after the staff fully disconnecting with the kitchen/customer I dont think I'll be back.
