Everyone in Texas seems to love Whataburger, but no. The one in Whitesboro anyway, is pretty bad. The service is fine. In fact the order ahead feature is great. You park outside and they bring it to you. They're always nice. But the food just isn't very good. The burgers seem like they weren't freshly cooked, even though they have to be made to order. The service was fast and we got our food quickly. Sometimes Whataburger is a little slow in getting our food out but this one was great. The burger was hot and I could tell it was just off the grill. Surprised me! Flew into DFW Airport and was HUNGRY. It was around 11:30pm on Tuesday and 1st time in town on the way to Choctaw casino. Saw lots of restaurants but had a long drive. Saw KFC/Taco Bell but they were closed. Saw Whataburger. Open. Dining room open. Ordered the double meat combo w large fries and self serve fountain drink. Nice, giant foam cup. When my food came the double burger I ordered with jalapeños and bacon. HUGE! I was expecting a McDonald's size burger. Bonus they had 3 ketchups... fancy, hot and a new hotter! Perfect on the fries and burger! Probably one of the best fast food chain burgers I've eaten! Good job Whataburger! First time ever. Hubby suggested the chicken biscuit but they're only available at breakfast so the cashier had a recommended replacement (bbq chicken Sammie sub the sauce with honey butter). It was massssssive lol and tasty but not quite what we had in mind. Ended up going to another one a couple days later in the morning and got what we wanted- delicious. This is one of the best Whataburgers we have visited. The staff were all friendly, and seemed genuinely happy to be at work. The manager was present and encouraging with his employees. The food was delicious, it was fresh and hot. You could hear the employees all talking to each other, calling out orders, filling online orders, filling orders for the d- thru and lobby. The only constructive feedback I have is they might want to watch the temperature in the lobby, it was almost uncomfortably cold. The store was clean and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Great job! Ordered at counter one weekday evening. Am partially deaf so it takes extra effort to get an order right - anywhere. Impossible for me to understand 1954-quality drive-in movie speakers. I guess the order taker who was obviously new-new assumed I wanted a 'combo'. He handed me a large cup. I said, I didn't order a drink. Point of the review : just like most drive-thru food places, this one closely watches the time a car is in-line. Walk-ins are an ignored nuisance. After standing there looking stupid, I walked out. Orders are wrong most of the time for to go then they want you to drive back up and fix their mistakes how about you refund the items you charged for. When you order an item and it doesn't show up you should at least get refunded the money you paid. Not drive back up here and we will make it right. Why do I have to spend more money for you to do your job correctly terrible management ownership. If they are the only thing open and you don't mind going back multiple times to get your order correct this is the place to go. By far the slowest whataburger in north Texas, and after you wait 30 minutes for your food your fries aren't even cooked. Girlfriend loves whataburger so probably get it once a week or so from this location, so this experience isn't a one-off thing. read more

This isn't even about the food--they could serve cardboard here and it would be a five star review. When we visited on our way through on a road trip, we stopped in for lunch. The manager? (Donny, I believe) greeted us as though we were firm regulars, shook hands, and "shoulder hugged" my boyfriend, asked us how we were doing. While we were waiting for food we watched him greet every customer who came in, and usher every diner out with a genuine sincerity that made me wish Donny was my neighbor. Seriously. Came in on a Sunday around 1pm to find the store busy. We had our youth group walk in with 31 orders and in a manner of 15 minutes everyone including the customers that walked in while we were ordering were eating and all orders were correct. We are from southern CA and have always loved in-n-out burger. Since we are new in tX and Texans love their Whataburger we decided to try. The line was out the door when we arrived. So first my family is a little different than most... 4/5 of us have a gluten allergy. Second I find their menu confusing. It doesn't really describe what you are getting. I ordered 4 of the Whataburgers with no bun and my husband had a fancy burger with a bun. We also ordered fries and drinks. When we got our food (it was delivered to our table I liked that) it was nicely packaged in a plastic container with the burger deconstructed and no bun. You eat it with fork and knife. Burger patty atop lettuce,tomato and pickles. To my dismay no cheese....is this something I have to add? Do they not offer cheese? I did not see anything about this on the menu. Burger was good, not anything special. Fries were better. I really liked the different ketchups they had. I love the big styro cups and their sweet tea was refreshing. read more

Where do I begin with a 23 minute wait for a breakfast sandwich that they forgot not only once but twice or the fact that when they figured out they forget it the manager who went back there and made it by hand without gloves after taking the trash out giving change touching the registers it quickly asked for a refund was met with no apology or anything absolutely unequivocably the worst service i've ever received at a restaurant establishment of any kind in and out from here on out.
