There were a few things done wrong that definitely needs improvement/fixing. First of all, the food was decent but a bit pricey for the portions. My wife ordered the grilled cheese deluxe but with no tomato due to a tomato allergy and there was still some tomato on it. Thankfully not so much that a couple Benadryl couldn't fix. The grilled chicken sandwich has almost no meat on it whatsoever. But the salad and soup I got was good. Secondly, our server Jackson had us repeat ourselves multiple times because he kept reading back the wrong item or just didn't say anything about what we told him at all. We never once got even offered a refill on drinks, never got checked up on by a manager or our server, and waited for 25 minutes on a check that never came and had to end up going to the front to pay. Jackson and the manger paid plenty attention to every other table around us but never us. I hate leaving reviews like this, but frankly I'll never be going back again and I'd urge others to only order take-out from here or go somewhere else read more

We always love a trip to Lovejoy's on Main! The food is always amazing and the servers are friendly and attentive. You can shop in the store front and dine in the back. The homemade desserts are the best! Definitely worth a trip to this small town for a big town experience. read more

The service is great. All of their staff is super friendly. It's popular, so sometimes there's a little wait time, but that gives you an opportunity to look through their store. They sell women's clothing and decorative house items. The food is excellent - soups, salads, and sandwiches. I've never had anything that wasn't good. They have good desserts, but they're a bit overpriced for the serving size, I think. It's a fun, cozy place to eat. My only complaint is that they have a daily menu rotation and each day is always the same thing. There's only one day I can typically go. I'd like to have soup and quiche, but I don't care for the kinds they always have on that day. If I happen to get there on a different day of the week, those things are my favorites. read more

What a cute shop/restaurant! The restaurant is located at the back of the shop and the whole set up is really fun. The menu is a bit limited but the quality of what we got leads me to believe that they do their few items very, very well. Lovejoy's on Main is a great place to visit. I took my Oregon relatives to grab desserts on the way to the airport. Our party of 7 tried and shared 7 different treats. Among the decadent desserts sampled were carrot cake, German chocolate cake, brownie sundae, and chess pie. ALL were yummy! This place can't be beat. The owner, Hank, talented dessert- maker and a legendary good guy in Whitesboro! He alone is worth the visit! Whitesboro, Texas is hometown Americana! Lovejoy's from the outside looks like a gift shop, but in the back it opens up to a wonderful warm inviting cafe with an old fashioned soda fountain. I happened to go during Thanksgiving weekend so the menu was limited but the food was great. I had a tomato bisque with chicken salad. I was informed that they had gluten free rolls so I chose a sandwich which was overflowing with chicken salad. Everything was delicious including the peach mango iced tea. My waitress was absolutely awesome but I confess I am partial because I gave birth to her, but I watched her with other customers as she helped them with choices and asked how they enjoyed their food. She makes her Mama proud. All the staff was very friendly and after my lunch my daughter pointed out a few things in the gift shop that my granddaughter's had their eyes on, so I did a little shopping as well. I was surprised how busy they were on the Saturday after Thanksgiving but my daughter explained they had a shop local day going on. Each of the stores on Main Street had a small gift for everyone who walked in their store as well as sales going on. Downtown Whitesboro was hopping with shoppers. I love the small towns in Texas they remind me of a time back in the 50's when life was simple and I love that they continue to keep the atmosphere to attract people. read more

The best place ever! My mom and sis brought me here today as I visited in town, and we had the best most tasty broccoli cheese soup and salad.
