I've had Whataburger 2 or 3 times before..I like it.. I did a dine in mobile order for this location, and I can say right off the bat, the restaurant itself has some cleanliness issues. Tables need to be wiped, floors need to be swept... BUT It's almost 9: 00pm and they're super busy. The cashier was nice, tell her I was here for my pain in the butt order, and she said they were still working on it but I'm in no rush. I'm just going to end up sitting on my butt anyways. I ordered a jalapeno burger with extra everything, with no bun, and a grilled chicken cobb salad. For a burger not having a burn, it's pretty damn good! And this lettuce is like brand new or something! I don't think I'm going to be able to eat my cobbed chicken salads tonight, but I'll have something to eat tomorrow! The manager is so nice, she just came out and checked on me to see who I liked everything! That was nice! Overall, great experience! Thank you Whataburger! Beware of the Schulenburg Texas location. They will steal your points, and if you go through the drive thru, buckle up it will take up to an hour to place your order and drive to the window and pay for it. And they will argue with you about using your points, they do not even know what is on their points app. I wish I could say that this is a seldom problem, but it has become a daily problem with this location. read more

Driving home from Kerrville & a totally fun filled weekend with my besties, I was a bit peckish as I didn't have breakfast. We drove past Buccee's due to the 50 car back up on the access road. I remembered this Whataburger in Schulenburg off I-10. They were packed but we had our food in 10 minutes since I ordered on the app. This place is a well oiled machine. My custom chicken strip sandwich on toast with tomatoes, pepper jack, grilled onions, dill pickels and creamy pepper sauce was just perfect!!! There was 1 old man who got ugly with the cashier because he brought his cup from home to refill at the soda fountain. She was very tactful while he acted like a child (I am 65 years old). There is no excuse to treat a hard working employee ugly, especially during a busy time. Thank God for her watchful eye that prevented his dirty cup from making the soda/ice area unsanitary. When we arrived the place was thronged. The line was probably twenty people, but only one of the two registers was manned. So, it took us a while to reach reach the front of the line and order. In a few minutes the line had dwindled to two people so they opened the second register with only one person at each. I pulled into Whataburger mainly because it was right off the highway and my daughter needed a bathroom break. First off the bathrooms were dirty. The trash was overflowing in the women's bathroom. After we were done I went to order a chocolate shake with my reward. I stood there for a couple of mins waiting for someone to wait on me. Finally a young lady acknowledged me and took my order. I waited 9 minutes and watched them make 4 shakes during that time for patrons after myself. I allowed their rush to die down and walked back to the counter to remind them of my 1 item. The young girl that I spoke with look at me as if I annoyed her asking for my item which they obviously forgot about. No apologies, nothing.
