Attempted to stop for ice cream. When I reached the speaker, I got an automated message that said that they were closed. Two cars were in line in front of me. Employee got on the speaker and said that they were closed with new hours ending at 8 PM. Looked at the clock which read 8:00 and 37 seconds. No, I didn't know that they had new hours or I would've left the house earlier. I do feel that the 37 seconds past their brand new closing time could have been overlooked in exchange for good customer service. Next time, I'll drive 20 minutes to a more friendly location. read more

Dining area was fairly clean. Thought I would start out on a positive for this review. My burger was not good as had no flavor. Wife's tacos were so soggy and greasy she couldn't finish and grandkids didn't like their hamburgers either. Bathroom was disgusting and smelled. Bathroom door dragged the floor and was difficult to close and more difficult to open. One employee was annoyingly loud. Will pass this place by from now on. Owners should look at the other similar reviews to make some needed changes and maybe get some return customers instead of just the one off travelers. read more

My dad and I stopped here to take a break from our six hour drive back to Houston. We were starving to say the least. The place is filthy (floor, tables, bathroom, the male cashiers hair, you name it). They were out of hot dogs and almost every drink option. We had to clean off our own table while the employees watched. Fortunately for us the wait time wasn't ridiculous but I lost my appetite when I saw the employee grab the ketchup packets with her bare hands and place them directly on top of my fries. First of all, I was going to eat those fries and secondly the ketchup packets were covered in some sticky substance. Food was made fresh and delicious, we stopped by on our way to Houston from San Antonio, only two people working the whole restaurant. It was pretty busy, I can't even begin to imagine how slammed was the girl in the back making the food and working the front. The manager who happens to be also the drive through order taker and apparently the cook/helper, was making sure that everything was okay and gave us great customer service. I wouldn't normally write a review for a Dairy Queen, but this place needs to have a management change. On a recent trip, I made a stop here to indulge in a blizzard. While waiting, I heard a string of profanity from one (or more?) of the employees working behind the counter. To be clear, I am no saint, and my ears are not virginal, but Dairy Queen is not a place where you would expect to hear such language, and at such a volume to be heard in the dining room. In addition, I saw one of the employees interacting with an elderly customer, and doing so in a very impatient manner. After we waited in the drive thru line for 10 minutes, we were told to wait, and then that they were out of ice cream AND steak fingers. Just before we went to order we went inside to use the bathroom and saw 2 workers taking a break, while there were customers waiting in the drive thru and the inside. And the place was also very dirty. My family stopped here on the way back to Houston. It's your typical small town DQ. The restaurant was clean and extremely tidy. The staff were all friendly and service was quick despite being busy. There is certainly room for improvement in the women's restroom. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 stars. It's small & cramped with poor lighting. The trash needed emptied and the paper towels were out. No room to change a baby. There was a covered/enclosed patio which would be great if you have small kids that need to run off a little steam on a long trip. I would stop here again. read more

Worst service ever on 7/27/14 about 9:45pm. Very rude employee working the front register, she was rude to all the guests. Very unfriendly and terse with her words. Getting people's order mixed up and not caring, and snapping at people. She was young with dark hair and glasses. We ordered 4 shakes and she said we had to wait for her to take other guests orders before she could make our shakes. We waited 30 minutes! We received 3 shakes. When we asked about the 4th, she said she had to take the other guests orders before she could get the 4th shake. We waited another 50 minutes, and she made the wrong flavor!
