A nice place to stop by when you're on a road trip. Very casual/quaint cafe. Staff are very nice and they actually brought the food to us vs us going up to get it. Reminds me of Panera bread except local. The lunch specials are a STEAL - it comes with a drink and side salad or fruit salad. I thought the drink was going to be a small cup but it was HUGE. I wish the paninis had more substance but I loved the flavors (something about basil pesto that I really love too). Ingredients also tasted fresh and we didn't wait too long for it all to come out. The food was great. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The combo special is a bit confusing...even though it says "any" panini only lunch panini available for special. Overall not a bad place to start the day off right. Cute Indoor/outdoor seating. A little wait for your order so don't expect to have a fast in and out. We really try to support local businesses over Starbucks as much as possible, and I absolutely hate writing negative reviews... but here we are. We spent over $60 on food and drinks that took almost 40 minutes to make, and were completely inedible. The biscuit and sausage are so burnt, almost like a hockey puck. We did not have time to return the items as the wait already set us back significantly on our trip. For a coffee shop, speed and quality are key and both were lacking today. I hope improvements can we made and that this isn't the norm! read more

I stopped in after a long bike ride--MS150 training--and ordered up a Caprese panini and a latte to go with it. The service is your basic counter service, though the staff brings your food to your table. They're quick, friendly, and attentive. The panini was outstanding--really just perfectly done, crisp on the outside but maintaining freshness of the tomato and abundant basil inside. The pasta salad that came with it was pretty weak by comparison--a little past al dente and with a very vinegary dressing--but the panini made up for it. The latte was a little unfortunate, particularly given that it's the cafe's namesake. There wasn't much foam, at all, but the flavor was still good. I'd say it was more cafe au lait than latte, but I wasn't going to complain. This place is a nice, serene spot and worth a visit. read more

If you have a little extra time to wait for your meal, this is worth the wait. The food here has fresh ingredients and they have really good coffee. Seems like they go through staff pretty fast so you will need a little patience not only when placing your order but when receiving food. We have had a few remakes on the smoothies but they are delectable when made correctly. I would recommend getting a treat for yourself from their baked area every time. Cookies, brownies and goodies are always so tasty. We've only pulled through here, this location has a drive through but let me remind you it is not a fast food joint. Finally a good coffee place to stop at on the way to Austin. Stopped around lunch time so went in to check it out. Has actual hot food in addition to pastries/ sweets. The turkey panini has pesto and avocado. Was a nice easy lunch that wasn't fast food in the area. Cold brew with different cold foam options. This cafe is lovely, the workers were all nice and personable, and it seems to be a great community resource. The reason I will not be back unless I have no other option is due to the smell... the cafe uses two large panini presses, is either under or un-ventilated, and the smell of the oil they use on the press permeates the air and makes it hard to breathe. The smell stuck to my hair and clothing for the rest of the day. I honestly don't know how their workers breathe in there. Will absolutely be back if this can be remedied. read more

A nice home feeling cafe will multiple healthy options. I was with a large group of approximately 20 people and the atmosphere was quiet and welcoming. The service was with a smile and the server was very informative about the various desserts. I got the Hazelnut Cappuccino, Breakfast Bowl and the Buttermilk Bar. All of the food was fresh. Mixed feeling about this location. Interior was inviting and offered many seating areas including a couch. The people working were friendly and patient as well as accommodating. The food itself was okay. The bakery items are definitely not the best I've had. The scones (we tried two different ones) were dry and not very appetizing and the brownies were just okay (as were the various smoothies offered). The sandwiches and coffee, however, were great. The various paninis on the menu as well as the avocado toast were delicious and sides such as the pasta salad were also great. Overall a satisfactory stop on a road trip. read more

We went here looking for a bite on our trip East along IH-10. We like to eat local, so when this place came up on Yelp, we were ready to give it a go. The inside is modest but has plenty of space. They have a lunch special which includes half a sandwich, a cup of the soup of the day, and a drink for $10. Pretty good deal! And we didn't have to wait long for our lunch. The sandwich was good, but the soup was exceptional. The soup that day was poblano chicken, and you could tell it was made that morning. I love fresh ingredients! After we ate, we got a coffee. My brother is a coffee snob, and he really liked the coffee. I highly, highly recommend this place if you're in or driving through Columbus. Treat yourself to a good meal! read more

My wife and I have made a tradition of stopping in when visiting family. We used to really like the lattes we would get here but the last year or so the quality has suffered greatly on their lattes. The last 3 visits the espresso based drinks taste watered down and extremely weak (like watered down pour over or drip with milk foam added). I'm sad to say that we have lost our local coffee spot. read more

Staff rude, would not recommend. I walked with my baby to go grab a coffee, & the barista told me their system was down-cash only. I walked back to my hotel, got my cash, drove back...and then was told they only had $40 in the register and couldn't break my bill. The manager looked at me like she was annoyed/didnt care. They had been open almost 2 hours. Registers are suppose to keep $200 in the tills. The least they could have done was offer me a coffee on the house for the inconvenience, but they didnt care that i came twice trying to buy a coffee from them. Also-they told me they only put one shot in their 16oz lattes, which is not how any other coffee shop will make your drink, chain or not. read more

On Feb. 15th I asked the girls at Columbus Animal Clinic if there were any good sandwich places in town. My husband and I travel the US full-time in an RV and I had taken our dog into town to get a yearly check-up. Over the last two weeks we've fallen in love with the little town of Columbus. The girls at the animal clinic mentioned Latte had great paninis. I ordered the 1/2 and 1/2 special - a Turkey Avocado Ranch panini and a salad, with sweet tea. Everything was delicious. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because the employees were not very friendly. I think I got there too close to closing time and it showed. No one smiled, no one said thank you. My husband and I were looking for a local coffee shop and stopped by on our way to San Antonio today. We are so glad we did. It was very good!! It had a Christian atmosphere which we loved and the coffee was superb. Better than we have gotten anywhere in a long time. The young lady behind the counter said it was just her second day but she did very well with taking our order in a timely manner and making the coffee. Just YES! This halfway stop from San Antonio to Houston is a must. Their coffee is out of this world and we just had some jalapeño biscuits with egg and cheese that rocked my trip. Our food arrived hot and fresh. We had two chai tea lattes, both very good. The biscuit was a unique texture. Not as flaky as a normal biscuit but with more structure. It was tasty and worked well for a sandwich. The breakfast panini was also very good. We liked it better than the biscuit, but would happily eat either again.
