Workers are nice and friendly, tends to be pretty slow with curbside however, I am no longer ordering curbside with them due to waiting over 20 minutes past estimated time. Why I continue to order one in the Schulenburg drive through I have no idea except that it's been my go to fast food breakfast since 1988. I pulled into Whataburger mainly because it was right off the highway and my daughter needed a bathroom break. First off the bathrooms were dirty. The trash was overflowing in the women's bathroom. After we were done I went to order a chocolate shake with my reward. I stood there for a couple of mins waiting for someone to wait on me. Finally a young lady acknowledged me and took my order. I waited 9 minutes and watched them make 4 shakes during that time for patrons after myself. I allowed their rush to die down and walked back to the counter to remind them of my 1 item. The young girl that I spoke with look at me as if I annoyed her asking for my item which they obviously forgot about. No apologies, nothing. A simple I'm sorry or even a fake smile would have been nice. I won't be stopping here again. Save your money and head to another location. read more

I have been raised on Texas Whataburger and the burger place has always been my "go to" for comfort food. Schulenburg location has missed the "toasted bun" request and scorched the earth! Despite my objections to eating fast food, any time I come across a place I can't get in NY (see: In N Out, Steak & Shake), I must go. With billboards everywhere about their Patty Melt, Whataburger lured me in with their in your face marketing. One melt and shake later, I'm very impressed. It looked like any 'ol McDonald's but the patty is huge (Texas of course). The shake was thick at first but loosened up in the southern sun. They could use more flavor options a la Sonic though. Nice place, friendly staff, only eat here once in a while unless you want to be greased into the door. read more

What can you say about Whataburger! It's Texas's favorite go to place to get a burger! Ice been going to Whataburger since my family moved to Pasadena in the mid 60's and you could still get a Whataburger all the way for .55 cents!!! After all these years the prices have gone up some, but the burgers are as good as they ever were!!! They have come out with new menu items like the A-1 Thick and Hearty burger, the Sweet and Spicy Bacon burger, Monterey Melt, Buffalo Ranch chicken strip sandwich and others. They have just cemented their place in the heart of every Texan because of their burgers and being consistently good. I'm probably like everyone else, if your from Texas, you probably don't go more than a week or two before you have to make a trip to your local Whataburger!!! Being as they started business in Corpus Christi there are Whataburger's ahh over town, but the flagship is the two story, doubledecker located downtown on North Shoreline Blvd. at the corner of John Darts in street on the waterfront!!! So were driving back from Houston to San Antonio and we wanted to stop at our favorite fast food burgers,, Yep wataburger. So we go in and order some burgers and it takes forever. The restrooms were absolutely disgusting. The lady making the burgers in the back were moving extremely slow and acted like they could care less that people are waiting forever. Being from the Washington DC metro area, I'm used to rude fast food workers. My family and I stopped on the way from San Antonio to Tampa, FL. I am amazed by the quality of the food, but more importantly the friendliness of the staff, especially the manager Alfredo. The sprite dispenser had run out of syrup. After I brought it to the attention of Alfredo, he not only rushed to the back to replace the syrup, he even brought us out new drinks. I have never had such a great dining experience, even at five star rated restaurants. I wish we lived closer so that we could continue to eat here. read more

On two occasions I've ordered the exact same thing: a pancake platter and a honey butter chicken biscuit. Both times the cashier rang up a breakfast platter instead and one time I had to discover this after I got home when it was too late to take it back before I headed off to work and the other I checked my order before leaving and they had to fix it there. The cashier who did this seemed to either be either flat out dim witted or just didn't care because both times she didn't offer an apology or to fix the order, someone else had to. Not only that, but she wasn't polite at all and showed not even the slightest bit of enthusiasm for customer service. I'll give breakfast one more shot but if this happens again I won't be frequenting this location again. Next was a normal garden salad but with only chicken but 3 rd time is a charm i guess. if you add or subtract to your order, it will be screwed up, if its not on the basic menu you might as well forget about it. This has been the course of a month of messed up orders by friends and family but this incident i just had to make a statement to hopefully get some management in that place read more

This is absolutely the worst Whataburger on earth. I typically love Whataburger because its my husband's favorite. We stopped here traveling to Houston, and the line was LONG, wait was horrible, and the hamburger tasted like it was made days ago. The hamburger patty was hard and dried out, the tomatoes and lettuce were non existent - they were old too, and all you could taste was bread. Whataburger is our favorite fast food choice. However this one does not measure up. The burger was wonderful as always but the staff at this location are not customer oriented. We stood at the counter several minutes waiting for someone to come take our order as several employees stood around talking to each other and glancing at us occasionally. We finally asked if there was someone taking orders and they called a girl from the back. She was not pleasant, did not seem happy at all to serve us.
