Nothing wrong with the burger but the attitude of Ivie behind the register is atrocious. When…read morepaying she asked cash or card, I replied that I would be using a "debit card" and she rang it up as credit anyway. I tried to explain to Ivie that it was illegal to charge a credit card processing fee for debit cards. She cut me off mid sentence to condescendingly tell me that she just had one button to push on the register and that it wasn't her problem. When I tried to show her on my phone she cut me off again and assured me that she didn't give a damn. It's not a huge expense but at this point it's the principle. I want my $1.22 cents back and for Ivie to be severely reprimanded. I would also encourage everyone to pay attention to your receipt when dining at Branded Burger as it evidently is their company policy to train their employees to rip off their patrons. I want to emphasize how rude Ivie was, she has no business dealing with customers, not only did she cut me off, she didn't want to hear what I had to say and could have cared less about resolving the issue. Rules on Debit SurchargesNo Surcharges: Merchants cannot add a percentage-based or flat extra fee just for using a debit card at the point of sale.Credit vs. Debit: This ban applies whether you enter a PIN or run the debit card as a "credit" transaction without a PIN.

A Hidden Gem in Midlothian!…read more We discovered a new place to enjoy with family and friends at The Porch Pour. Don't let the outside appearance fool you. Once you step inside, you're greeted by a beautiful, upscale dining area with a separate bar that gives the restaurant a unique atmosphere. We were celebrating our mother's birthday, and the staff made it extra special with a birthday card. Such a thoughtful touch! Our waiter, Ian, was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and provided excellent service. The food is fresh and farm-to-table, and I tried the Truffle Hog Fries--don't let the name scare you! They were absolutely delicious! Who knew such a gem was tucked away in Midlothian? Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, meeting friends, or looking for a romantic date-night spot, The Porch Pour is worth the drive! It was OK. We went here last weekend. I'd never heard of it…read morebefore, but my wife had a nice time here a month ago having brunch with a friend. This place seems more style over substance, for me. It's a beautiful old house, very out of place here in Texas. It reminded me of the houses I grew up in back in New England. It has been wonderfully converted into a restaurant. The server was great, the owner talked to us, checked in. The food, I think, is lacking. Especially for the price. We each had a mixed drink. Mine was, ok. I had the Summer Suitor which is an odd mix of bourbon and sparkling wine. I was a little weird to me - quite sour, not the best mix. For dinner I had their special - a steak frites. Plenty of shoestring fries. But, my steak was raw. I think I asked for it medium or medium rare. This was the first time in my life I had to ask for a steak to be reheated. I think they just left it back under the warming lamps for 5 minutes which helped little. For the prices and the stories we heard about where their meat comes from and the pride they take in their food, I wasn't expecting this. The sides were ok but not great. The truffle mac and cheese - all I can say is what I mainly tasted was the wax-coated paper container those bread crumbs came from. It's so odd. I was excited to truffle mac and cheese but it did not do it for me. Again, for the price, I've had better. The Brussel sprouts were ok but undercooked for my liking. The asian inspired sauce they come in is excellent. My wife had their ahi tuna special and raved about the romesco sauce on top, which we've never seen before on tuna but she liked it a lot. The owner told us about the people that owned the block and moved this building and other houses to this location. All I could think of is that must be why it's so expensive. Rent must be killer! I know this sounds like a negative review. It's just my honest experience. Don't know if we'll go back.
