Just close it down. We waited 30+ documented minutes in line for 3 breakfast tacos and they weren't ready when we arrived at the window. The order on the ticket was wrong but we could not get the employee to understand that. The manager opened and closed the window several times. We finally asked for a refund and were given it. The manager said that he would go ahead and give us the order (that was wrong). We waited a few minutes and he never came back and cars were wrapped around the building so we left. I understand that it's hard to find good work now days but a little cleaning would of been nice, the inside of this establishment was nasty! They were out of napkins and we had to get paper towels from the bathroom that wasn't clean either. I'm not able to rate their food because neither of us got what we ordered. Fries were very good and we ate them on our drive home. When we opened up our burgers we found we both had burgers with lots of toppings. I ordered one with grilled onions and it didn't have them. My son ordered cheese only. Got home and in the middle of the hamburger was something of questionable consistency. How to describe, take your forefinger and thumb and go along you gum line in your mouth. Whataburger is consistently delicious with an array of options to choose from. This most recent time: A1 Bacon Cheeseburger with fries and a vanilla coke. It was very unhealthy, sure (this is fast food) but the taste factor was A++++ Another option that's worth mentioning is the Chicken Tender Meal with the cinnamon butter sauce from the morning sammiches as your dipping mixture! I understand everyone loves Whataburger and touts it as a staple of Texas...however, if you have out of state family and friends with you, please do not take them to the Midlothian Whataburger nearest to town. Took 10 minutes from ordering (drive thru) to getting food, asked for their "famous" ketchup and told they were all out, asked them not to put BBQ sauce on Luke's sandwich, just on the side. When I asked for the side of BBQ, the lady tells me it will be an extra charge. I explained that I asked for it on the side and she gave it to me, but got home and his sandwich has bbq sauce on it and was soggy. ???.?!? If your'e out of ketchup, don't you dare charge somebody for a side of bbq sauce!!! This is not an isolated incident btw. We waited an additional 15 minutes while 2 other cars behind us in the left lane (they were behind us) got their food. Sad, ate breakfast Sunday morning about 7:30am at this location. Place was understandably about empty but we had to wait to order until the cashier finished her conversation with the young lad standing there at the counter chit-chatting about something other than food service. She then charged me for three breakfast items instead of the two I ordered. Another gal brought our food out. One container of syrup for two pancake plates, needed about four. Floor, seats and table were sticky. French fries on the floor, just a nasty dirty environment. My family wanted to get a quick dinner at Whataburger. We went through the drive-thru and after every single thing we said the employee said "anything else?" really fast, cutting us off. After waiting in a long line for several minutes to get to the window to pay, we were given our drinks right away and then proceeded to wait for over 15 minutes AT the window for our food. When the food came out it was barely warm, cheese on cheeseburger wasn't melted, fries seemed old, and we were missing a cookie and the sauces we asked for. There were no napkins. The employee didn't even seem apologetic that the food took so long and after being confronted about it, didn't seem to know why it took so long. Very disappointing. read more
