Back again! Another early doodle grooming outing, had us looking for a great place to have breakfast... Eggsquisite was a top recommended nearby place and from our last visit, if we like a place... we visit said place as long as the dining experience is great. This second visit was expectedly great again! We both ordered Omelets, hash brown and pancake sides. I also ordered the seasonal pumpkin latte (hot) and was instantly put into a holiday mood! An amazing drink with every aspect of the seasonal holidays captured in a cup! The omelets we ordered were chonky and very filling! Perfect portion size after driving an hour+ to Midlothian. Hasbrowns are something special here and the pancakes were just fantastic! Within only 5 visits, it gradually gets worse and worse. We won't be coming back. Food: I've only gotten the very berry pancakes here which has been consistently yummy until the most recent visit. The lack of attention to detail is why we will not be coming back. There was mold on one of my strawberries. Atmosphere: Our most recent time; we literally peeled our menus apart from each other. The tables were sticky, the seats were wet. On top of that, I'm unsure if this is a new permanent change, but they added extra chairs and tables so now you're sitting - what it feels like - 10 inches away from another party. The noise was so unbelievably loud here that we ended up wrapping up brunch within 30 minutes. Service: Service is the biggest determining factor whether or not I'll be returning to a business. This location has the sassiest service from the moment you walk up to the hostess stand, get greeted by your server, up to when you checkout at the counter. Let me start why I come back over and over. They serve fresh squeezed orange juice. Breakfast at many places is the same. But here, they don't skimp on anything. Scrambled eggs plenty to split. Bacon strips are huge. Biscuits are huge. Berries are fresh and ample. My wife and I split a Southern breakfast with extra biscuit and a bowl of berries. We really liked this place when we came for breakfast so we stopped by again to try their lunch. Kids each enjoyed their food. One had the Mac and cheese with fries. Simple but kids fav. My other son tried the French toast that came with eggs and bacon. He's more picky, he did enjoy the French toast. Didn't like the bacon because it was "crispy on the edges" but ate everything else. I had the ranch chicken melt. I asked for it to be on a wrap. It was really good. Had fries okra in the side. My food was delicious. You do have options on the side. They had French fries, fried okra, side salad, sweet potato fries. (Those were the only ones I remember). My husband got the spicy chicken and biscuits. I tried it as well. It was really good too. The biscuits were so soft and fluffy. We'll definitely order again. The only downside was the waiter wasn't too attentive. There was four if us eating and we only got 2 forks. We kept having to flag him down for something. Ordered the French toast didn't bring us the syrup. Had to ask to refill out drinks and napkins. I mean they weren't that busy. We decided to stop in on Sunday after church for brunch. Thankfully we signed up for the waitlist beforehand because even after arriving we had a small wait. Altogether it took about 45 min to be seated. (The seating is pretty tight but maneuverable) Once seated, we were greeted by our waitress who took our drink orders and returned minutes later. We then provided our entree requests and the food was brought to us within minutes it seems. Hey...I'm not complaining because I was starving. I went with corned beef hash and my partner chose the traditional with bacon. The meals came out plated nicely and were pretty flavorful. Nothing extravagant but it was tasty and got the job done. I ordered the Combo under Sweets & More which came with 2 eggs, your choice of meats (I chose all chicken apple sausage), and your choice of pancakes, French toast, waffles, or crepes (I chose crepes with very berry & pecans).
