Love this location! Called ahead to make sure they were open on the inside. (Kim) assured me they were. Walked in to get breakfast and I'm assuming it was her again that assisted me. She was friendly and quirky for it being so early (I'm a morning person, but try and be mindful that not everyone is eager to get the worm)... I ordered the biscuit and gravy and immediately felt a ping in my gut I shouldn't have. Quite surprisingly, it was pretty good. Smothered in lots of gravy so they def aren't stingy. I would order again. Will visit again because of the young lady that greeted me and took my order. (And she was just as friendly to all the guests that came after me too!)

So me and a few friends decided to stop by, since they're open at 2am. I ordered a patty melt with bacon and I got the bacon. Just not crispy, they gave me soggy bacon. They completely messed up my buddies order and gave him a wrong burger, he asked for plain and they ignored his request. He asked for Powerade and he got a coke. Like come on the place wasn't even busy... not trying to come back What-A-Burger Keeps letting me down... come on hire real employees....

This has been and apparently will always be the slowest whataburger in the chain. Doesn't matter what time of day...

There was a musician singing and playing guitar, and he was really good, which made the atmosphere even better. The drinks were great and the food was even better. We ordered wings and a pizza and really enjoyed both. It also felt very family-friendly. There's a small play area just off the outside deck, and several kids were down there playing, which was nice to see. The highchairs can be a little hard to spot, but they do have them inside near the restrooms. Overall, it was a great experience and we'll definitely be coming back!

We had planned to have a few drinks before grabbing dinner but we didn't plan the timing correctly. No biggie...regardless, the food was pretty solid! Both the kimchi fries and dumplings offered a unique taste that sit differently than most other places. It was a pleasant different though. The fries were great and the dumplings complimented the drinks! My partner had a Moscato and I chose a beer flight. Overall the vibe was good. We just missed out on some live music as they were just wrapping up their set. Nevertheless, we will be better prepared next time!

Their passion and good spirited nature about the food should keep them in the hearts of San Antonio for a long time to come. Tried: The "chicken fried/bacon wrapped hot dog". After a quick trip to my cardiologist, I'm going to live...long enough to go BACK to Dogfather!! This isn't a Wienerschnitzel knock-off. The ingredients are quality and the menu is inventive. I also added chili and cheese to my curly fries for the ultimate side. Can't wait to come back and try more!

She knew portion sizes, flavor profiles, and made sure we were happy with food selections. Ambiance: place is trendy. Decor was really nice and the place felt welcoming. My spouse and I could converse in a regular level and never felt as if we needed to shout to be heard. Food: Delicious! We opted for the 7 course prefix meal and it didn't disappoint. We added the shrimp and Brussels sprouts appetizer (which we took home). As this was our first time, we don't realize they had different menus. Everything we had was phenomenal. We will be back. But once we sat down, it made sense. Everything is made to order, and you can taste the difference. There was only one server handling the entire floor, and when a rush hit all at once, it definitely got busy fast. But here's the thing... she handled it with grace. Even when you could tell she was juggling a lot, she stayed attentive, kind, and kept checking in on us. That kind of effort deserves recognition. Now let's talk about the real star of the show... The Texas French Toast. Oh. My. Goodness. Thick, golden, perfectly cooked slices topped with homemade whipped cream and fresh berries that tasted like they were picked that morning. It wasn't just good, it was indulgent in the best way. Sweet without being overwhelming. Rich but balanced. I couldn't even finish it (which says a lot), and happily boxed the rest up. The only regret? I ate all the berries first. Rookie mistake. My husband ordered one of the hash plates and said it was solid comfort food... hearty, flavorful, and filling. He couldn't finish his either, so I'm definitely sneaking a few bites later. Overall, we left impressed. The food feels intentional. The flavors feel thoughtful. It's the kind of local spot you want to root for. And the fact that they serve pork lumpia for lunch? Say less. We'll be back for that. If you're looking for a cozy, made-from-scratch brunch spot in Universal City, this one is worth the wait. Good food takes time, and this place proves it. ***This review is based on my taste buds.
