Just had the worst customer service ever from this place from "Mandy." I'm sorry if you don't like your job but be happy you have one! There was no reason for her attitude. The place was empty and we didn't ask for anything out of the ordinary although she did huff at my son for asking for ketchup instead of mustard. Seriously???? My daughter and I just went through the drive thru, waited at least 10 min.in the 2 line finally got the food minus the med. Dr.pepper i ordered. The girl delivering our food got rude with me said thats not what the tiket says, and you will haveto pay for it after we already had been waiting long enough. Rude rude people!! We waited for 39 minutes stuck in the drive thru and then lost our order when we got to the window and tried to charge us. Disorganized and horrible customer service. You may need to get your staff some training. read more

Another huge Whataburger fan here! That being said, this place is a hit or miss. The drive thru line can go by pretty slow, but i've never received a wrong order or had a bad customer service experience. Note: I've only gone through the drive thru, because i'm just too lazy to go in, so I can't really attest to the service inside. read more

I pulled up tonight to grab my son something for after the hays game and the line was super long. I went for it anyway and am glad i did. It was being run by super efficient, friendly and well trained kids. Once they got my order to me, they apologized for my wait (i waited seven minutes tops) and quickly worked to get the cars in front of me served and on their way as well. I'm going to second that first review. I've never been more frustrated with fast food than at this Whataburger. This is not typical with them but this particular one in Kyle seems to have something wrong with it (can we return it?). I've given it *six* tries in the last two months hoping that it would improve and today I simply left the drive in line after waiting yet again for over 20 minutes. its been some times since we last eat there and i think it may be a lot longer until we visit again the pluses (open 24 hours good location ) does not compensate for the general lack of service and quality of food this franchise delivers I ordered ice tea for the wife and coffee plus french fries for me cups where handed us for the drinks and we were told fries would be brought to the table , the coffee machine was almost empty and when i asked over the counter for my cup to be filled from the drive in coffee station it arrived luke warm. the fries did not arrive in 10 mins so i again went up to counter asking what happened to my fries and got a *deer in the headlights look * in a short time they were delivered to the table in a take away bag no napkins, ketchup, and not even i smile from the carrier ,no one seemed interested in customer service not like it was when it originally opened stars have to be deducted as i wonder why its still open ?? read more

The positives are the service and the fries. As for the burger, I had just viewed a commercial for the Monterey Melt, and remembered that the chain recently had just won the Fast Company Best Chain burger in the country. This $5.40+ burger was a disgusting gooey mess, with cheap american cheese ruining any chance of tasting something flavorful, if there was anything flavorful. The only worse burger I tried was a Wendy's pretzel burger a few years ago, and that will forever be my last visit there too. Far better off going to Five Guys with their greasy fries down the street, or finding an In-N-Out or PTerrys somewhere. Honestly, I don't understand why people eat at these low grade fast food joints, except to find a cheap meal. But for spending over $5 on a burger, one might imagine something resembling a premium offering could be had for that price point. I find it hard to ever give a 5* review so 4* is great for a fast food restaurant. Service was average in speed but quality was excellent. The restaurant recent underwent some staffing changes and has really cleaned up it's act. Clean kitchen, polite and friendly staff, clean bathrooms. read more

This location is usually busy and hopping. We go after the UT games on the way home every time. The drive thru is run efficiently with 2 lanes and people out there taking your order and delivering your order...a lot like the way Chick-Fil-A works. The fries are always hot and fresh. My only complaint is the way the burgers are assembled. I always order a Whataburger Jr. and the past 3-4 times there are issues. Example, last night my burger had 3 pieces of chopped onion on it all located on the same side of the burger, 3 pickles stacked on top of each other, and a very tiny smear of mustard (I asked for mayo) Needless to say the burger was pretty dry. The time before I got a burger with mayo and mustard, a lot of onions and my pickles were on the top of the bun outside of the burger. I mentioned it to the manager when we were dining in last night and told him maybe the kitchen staff should slow down just a bit and pay attention to detail. He was very nice but didn't seem too concerned of the issue. Again, the service is always great, restaurant is clean, and usually pretty busy. I understand things happen, but when it is brought to your attention make sure you seem a tad bit concerned to correct the issues. read more

Was always my favorite since around 1968, but lately I've been getting real tired of the prices, and orders of fries that get cold so fast (skinny little pre-mades like everyone else's) and are mostly little pieces, the dregs of the fry basket. I'm going back to the best - home-cooked. read more
