For a fast food burger place it's pretty good, yes you have to wait in the drive thru a long time ( 15-20 min) would not recommend if you are in a hurry, but once you get the burger it's hardy and tasty! Fries were nothing special. Don't forget to add cheese to your burger! :) read more

Nov 24, 2025. This is the 2nd time Eric has made my burger at 10600 San Jose Blvd and if I had my choice, I'd like him to make it every time going forward. My previous visits were OK but Eric definitely makes me want to return. His burger making skills remind me of a Burger King whopper but without the mayo. He added my extra lettuce and extra tomatoes just as I requested on my order when some tend to overlook or ignore. A BIG shout out to Eric. The atmosphere inside was welcoming, with a clean and well-maintained dining area. Brett was running the inside register and was very professional when we placed our order. Our orders were accurate, and the food arrived hot and fresh. I ordered the Sweet and Spicy Burger meal with jalapenos and pickles added , and it exceeded my expectations. The burger was perfectly cooked, and they loaded the burger with jalapenos!! This was a great combination of sweet and spicy flavors was a taste sensation. The fries were crispy and seasoned just right, making them the ideal sidekick to the delicious burger. My son opted for the Chicken Tender meal, and he was equally impressed. Whomever manages this location does a piss poor job. Need to train employees on proper customer service. I ordered breakfast this morning and there shouldn't be employees standing outside in front of the menu cleaning it or whatever.... when I pulled up, it was extremely awkward for me to place my order with another human being in my face. My husband picked us up two burgers and a fry after about two weeks after this Whataburger on San Jose opened and brought them home. I thought the burger had a big meat Patty but the lettuce was yellow...over all not real impressed. Weeks later we received a coupon in mail buy one with fries and drink, get another burger free so he wanted to try again. Now this burger was so thin it was like a joke, fries were ok. We finally tried the new location in Mandarin. Food was hot and tasted great. Employees were nice. BUT... the inside of the restaurant was dirty. And with employees standing around doing nothing since there were only 2 people in the dining room, that is unacceptable. There was no soap in the women's bathroom and when I asked about it I was told "the soap container keeps falling off the wall" ok so then go over to Publix next door and buy a $1 hand soap. So this means when the employees are using the restroom they arent washing their hands! The owner of this establishment clearly does not care given all the other reviews with zero responses. read more

Went to the san jose, Mandarin location today in the drive thru. From the time I placed my order to the time I received my order, it was 25 minutes. When I opened my bag to get my burger and fries, they were stone cold. I did not go inside to complain at the fear of it being another 25 min before I could complain. I understand that good help is hard to find ,but this was ridiculous. There was a police officer behind me in line shaking his head in disbelief as well. Unfortunately, my vision and expectations of a good experience was blown up. I will not be back. It's most definitely not fast food at its finest. wanted to try the new Whataburger at Hartley and San Jose, so we ordered 2 wwhataburger combos with shakes. The buns were stale. The meat didn't really taste like hamburger and wasn't good. They put way too many onions on our burgers, and made it even tougher to eat what should have been a good burger. The shakes were massive, but too thick, so drinking through a straw (that wasn't included) was impossible. However, the fries were okay. we don't plan to return to this Whataburger, but I do hope they learn how to make an edible burger. read more

I love Whataburger but this location has had 3 chances and every single time it's taken 30+ minutes for food even when they are objectively not busy at all. This is the biggest problem, going for fast food should be fast. Any more than 15 min is a huge problem. The food this last time was cold and the fries (which used to be my favorite of anywhere) were cold and stale and too dark (old oil?).
