This has been a terrible experience. I placed a mobile order and tried to come through the drive through to get it. They told me i had to go inside to get it, it's a hot day and i have two dogs in the car so that's annoying. Once i get inside im stuck waiting in a line and then my order isn't ready. I'm rewriting this review because the first one I wrote was emotionally fueled and I wanted to re-write it with a cooler head. Unfortunately for them, it's still one star. Here we are, almost a year in and the newness has worn off this place. No longer do we have hour long drive through lines, and lines out the building. I will highlight a few problems based on my observation in the several times I've been here. The first problem is they seem to be short staffed. The person taking the order at the register often times is called to hand deliver milkshakes to people sitting in the lobby. They don't have a dedicated person to hand deliver these items there by taking that person away from the register and making everyone wait until they return to take the order again. Another problem is I noticed several times on several visits the lobby was extremely messy and unclean. They didn't seem to be a dedicated person to go out and sweep and bus tables. Another problem was the ridiculous wait time. I was about four spaces back, waiting to place my order when another guy came up and said he had been waiting for more than 30 minutes. That was the final straw that caused me to turn around and leave on one visit. read more

Glad Whataburger finally opened up here because this place fits into Nashville perfectly. You'll feel spring in the air when you walk and witness this fast food tornado destroying every customer within its walls. French fries littered everywhere, customers left and right walking up to the cashier to complain about an incorrect order, people having no clue where the line starts due to the chaos blanketing the store and standing 16 feet away from the actual line. I saw a dude with an eye patch on licking straight counter top and that was the most sane thing to happen while I was there. Absolute mayhem. Witnessed someone complaining that they waited 40 minutes for 2 burgers with fries. Absurd. My order came with two fries. To no one's surprise I only got one and unfortunately made the decision to go back in and request the 2nd fry. Let me tell ya, this was a bad bad mistake. I now know the first lesson I'll teach my children. Cut your losses! Waited in the "complaint line" that developed for 20 minutes before reaching the front. Then waited another 20 to get the second bag of fries. By the time I got home every spec of grease was cold. I never got to truly taste whataburger food when it's "fresh". No shot I'm risking going back there again to try. If you're an adrenaline junkie this is the place to be. Just make sure to stay low and stay away from windows if you want to survive. Literally the worst fast food joint i've ever been through. Their "automated" drive thru doesn't work first off, but then you pull up to the window to order and literally get ignored by the entire staff. They look at you like they aren't open/have no idea what you need. I literally was ignored and did not get breakfast this morning. Not really sure how to even start this review. Nothing was good about the visit here. First off, I got in line (took an hour from ordering to receiving food) was greeted by the most unpleasant and rude employee. She didn't even look at me and acted like I was inconveniencing her day by coming. After ordering the lanes broke off into two (one by pick up window and one next to that). I was asked several times what my name was and what I ordered, again very unpleasant employees. I was even handed the wrong order TWICE. When I finally received my order ( kids meal chix tenders ) It was cold as if it were in a refrigerator. All I can say is DO BETTER and hire BETTER people who can actually smile. Placed a order online for pickup for two burgers and some fries . Get there and it's busy cool . I go to the area that has a sign that says online order pickup . Stand there for over 15 mins the manager looked at me 7 times never once asked me if I needed anything or if I had a order . She seemed to be to concerned with filling up the shake machine. Told a employee that walked over to get a something off the counter told her I had a online order to pick up and stood there for another 10 mins as I watched people who came in after me order food and receive their food. Had an errand in Smyrna. Couldn't get into the establishment my child wanted to go to. So he decided to go to Whataburger. Well, I ordered what he ordered. The fries were good ( like to eat those as I ride or drive). Anyway, this is my review. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! It was one of the worse burgers I've ever had. The onions were chunks, the meat smelled spoiled, whatever cheese they used was sparse. The bread was something bottom shelved and the lettuce were used before, lol.... This is why the best burger(s) are the ones I make at home! I now feel bad because I gave it to my pup, have to make sure she doesn't get sick. I believe everyone should make up their own mind. Looking for a late-night burger and stumbled upon Wantabutger. Very pleasantly surprised. Nothing fancy but a burger place that makes your food to order is nice. Not fast food in the sense that your burger is under the heat lamp waiting for you. Service was quick and pleasant and the manager made time to make us feel welcome. This place is great! A few growing pains as they get established and understand the flow of inside and outside but no bad at all. The food was good and took no time to come out. There is a manager by the name of Lynn, she is absolutely the definition of customer service. I wasn't expecting her level of customer service at a drive thru burger place. What a horrible experience. I pulled up to order at the drive thru where I continued to wait for someone to acknowledge me which didn't happen. I say "Hello" and wait ... no acknowledgment. I finally say "hello" again and the woman says "I heard you" then something to the affect of "wait and I'll be back to take your order". Huh ? She comes back on the intercom and continues to be "short" with me in her attitude as I try to order. I get up to the window and the cashier never bothers to look at me just holds her hand out (barely) as she says the total and I have to reach out with my torso out the window to get my card into her hand. She just couldn't be bothered or was unwilling to make the effort. The the waiting happens for my one hamburger... This is at 10:51 p.m and there's no one else that I can see that's even in the restaurant let alone waiting for food. It took and abnormal amount of time to get one hamburger done meanwhile there's a guy in the kitchen looking at me like he's sizing me up. When the burger is FINALLY ready he slowly walks toward the window and when he open the window he doesn't say a word and just glares at me as he hands the bag to me. Unbelievable! It's like I've disturbed these people because they now have to go to work and make food for a customer. I was the only person in the drive thru at about 11:15 am today. It took 10 minutes for my order to be taken. I ordered their #1 meal. Then they asked if I wanted cheese. Of course I want cheese. But that's where it end .it took us about 30 minutes to place our order and another 30 minutes for us to recieve it.However the meal it self was for a lack of a better word was horrible. I just moved to Nashville from Texas back in August, and as of late, this is the only Whataburger location in my area. Our order was placed at 10:16 and we are still here waiting at 11:04. We talked to the manager and she said they only have four people working and they are behind. Took my first trip ever to a Whatburger and it was awesome! Yes. The drive through line was long but it moved well. Amazingly it was being worked by a single person and she was gettin r done. Great job to her. One double bacon cheeseburger with extra cheese and no onions, a large fries, and a large onion rings we're hooked. I have to say we must not have gotten the chicken gravy as it was envisioned by the company. Our containers were full of gravy (?) that was water thin and tasted like licking a salt shaker so something wasn't right there. Regardless, the overall experience was very very good and we'll be back to Whataburger again. read more

I went by Whataburger today In Hermitage. I ordered a regular Whataburger by itself. No fries or a drink. The burger alone was $5.29 plus tax. I wasn't impressed. Just a lot of mustard on a big bun with a lackluster tasting hamburger. I remember them costing at least half that when I lived in Texas and tasting a lot better.
