Double Bacon Cheeseburger and French Fries

That smash-burger is scrumptious! You get a quality burger, with timely service, and served fresh. The interior atmosphere is clean and vibrant if you want to eat inside. After the first time eating there, I went back the next week... we don't get this type of good food in Bowling Green KY. Always good to eat back in Nashville.

The service at this location is wonderful. They are friendly and hardworking, always in the kitchen smiling! Aside from the experience, the smash burgers great quality and taste. This is a great place for a classic smash burger, fries, and milkshake meal.

Quite possibly the best milkshake in Nashville! The draw is the pulled pork sandwiches and the fried bologna sandwiches. But the payoff is, without question, the milkshakes! Fun little joint; in the midst of a streetside "food court". We'll be back, for sure!

Chili cheese fries, missing the cheese.

This Hugh Baby's is located in a building with several other eating establishments, and you will find them in the very back. The burgers themselves are smash burgers, so I highly recommend getting a double. On our visit we had the double cheeseburgers and they were hot, fresh, and tasty with two patties, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and sauce. My husband wanted to try a chili dog, and said that it was okay, but it wasn't his favorite. We also ordered the chili cheese fries. These came with a chili sauce that was much like the hot dog sauce you can get from a can at the grocery, and there was way too much of it. The fries were soaking in it. And, unfortunately, there was no cheese. I would not order those again. I'm glad I had the chance to try Hugh Baby's, and perhaps we will return to give them another try.

Slaw Dog - love it. I wouldn't mind if there were double the amount of slaw.

We're visiting from Austin and I'm genuinely surprised this place didn't come up when others were recommending places to me ahead of our trip. Great spot for smash burgers, dogs, shakes, fries, pulled pork, veggie burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, and more. This location is in Hunters Station food hall. There are six paid parking spots in the lot and four handicap spots. Plenty of street parking in the area as well. There are enough seating options indoors and outdoors. It's a great space for a family. We had some delicious hot dogs, burgers, fries, and a shake. We'll not only be back but will recommend this place to others visiting Nashville.

Absolutely loved Hugh-Baby's Pulled Pork Sandwich! We stopped in our food tour of East Nashville with Secret Food Tours. Fantastic little food hall! Loved that they took us to Hugh Baby's particularly for the Pulled Pork Sandwich. It was fantastic - perfectly sauced, coleslaw was perfectly tangy, and the combo of the two was incredible. Loved the vibe of the restaurant, too! We have a group of 12 and we easily found seating. Perfect for a larger group or a family outing!

We stopped here during our food tour. We had the Memphis-style pulled pork sandwich. It was delicious. The staff was great.

I Got the chili cheese fries, reg fries, 2 cheeseburgers, and a chocolate shake. Fries were kinda soggy honestly and seems like we got all end broken pieces the shakes flavor seemed kinda watered down a bit. The burger was the best thing yet very average and the chili didn't have any flavor at all. , ... they have fries soaking in one side of a dirty sink and the other side full of fries without water. The sink all around it and under it is filthy. So strange. After ordering we turned around and there was a huge smell of urine by the stand up counter!! Not sure if Hunters Station has a cat or cats that live in here and roam around at night, but the urine odor IS there. All the staff were polite so, that's why it's a 3 star, but I really wish I would have NOT seen that part of the kitchen and or smelled the strong urine odor. Please feel free to go over there and see for yourself and tell me if I'm wrong or out of line, but as I'm sure I've made it clear that I will not be returning to eat here. If anyone is offended by this, then my apologies, but this was my honest experience. Thanks for reading.

They have plenty of seating. I should also mention that their menu is so good it left me torn on what to order. Despite the crowd and influx of orders, I thought the service was fast. The team works like sandwich ninjas, slicing meat and slathering spread, which was fun to watch. I ordered 'The Veggie,' while my husband got 'La Paradiso.' The focaccia tasted extremely fresh: crusty on the outside with a prominent flavor of EVOO, and soft on the inside. A very well-rested dough, I'd assume! As delicious as the bread was, the eggplant, stracciatella, and pistachio cream were out of this world. Oh my god, just heavenly! The size is ginormous; I split it into lunch and dinner. Considering the quality and sourcing of these ingredients, along with the fact that it covered two meals for me, I felt these sandwiches were quite economical. I have a long way to go before I try all their sandwiches

All three people behind the counter greeted me enthusiastically and with big smiles when I walked in. I perused the menu and opted for La Toscana. While I was waiting, I was enticed by the beautiful display of delicious and fresh ingredients in the display case. Every sandwich is made to order, but they worked very quickly so I didn't have to wait long. Overall the sandwich was excellent. In particular the Truffle Honey really took it over the top in terms of great flavors. I did feel that the focaccia was a bit too crispy, at least to my taste. I'm not sure if this was a one-off issue or if this is how they always make the bread. I would have preferred the focaccia to be quite a bit softer, but maybe that's just my personal preference. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, but it was a very hot day so I stayed inside with the air conditioning. The place is really clean with some nice decor. The experience was really good, and I would certainly recommend this as a great sandwich shop with excellent Italian ingredients. I'll just hope for softer focaccia next time.

I ordered the Chicken Parmesan sub, and it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The chicken was super tender, packed with flavor, and the sandwich was huge. The sweet pickles on it really made the sandwich stand out and gave it an awesome flavor. The atmosphere was really cool and felt very authentic. They also have a grocery section where you can buy authentic Italian sauces, pasta noodles, and other items, which was a nice touch. The only thing that surprised us was the fountain drinks being $5 each, but they do come in a souvenir cup. If you're looking for an amazing sub sandwich, I highly recommend Little Hats. The food was fantastic, the staff was friendly, and Germantown itself is a great area to walk around and explore. There are tons of cool places nearby. We got a number and had no problem finding an indoor table as it was hot out. The outdoor patio is very large though and this place can hold a lot of people. I am absolutely sure that in the hour my friend and I were waiting, six other other customers were seated ahead of us. Standing for an hour is okay but only if they're actually taking the customers in order. But then we were seated and with the small menu, I was able to order. A few minutes later, Big Al shouts, "Does anyone want a cinnamon bun?" and I have never been closer to taking a walk from my keto diet. But I was good and only drooled a little watching the couple sitting next to us split theirs. It smelled so good. Brunch arrived and we've now been at Big Al's for 90 minutes. I had selected the day's special, the FOUR egg steak omelet which I had with peppers and onions *filled* the plate. Sloppy and tasty and loaded with probably half a pound of sliced steak. I only took one small bit of my biscuit - fluffy and light but heavy and dense. Delicious. My friend had a concoction that I can only call The Coronary Plate: Fried eggs, fried potatoes, fried chicken. Half of a fried chicken that looked better than anything I've ever seen at KFC or Popeye's or my own beloved Bojangles. Crispy, slightly burned but a light batter and a juicy center. Yeah, get that. Big Al's is an anachronism. The food is cooked by hand, it's delicious and it stands halfway down the block of a completely residential neighborhood. You'll be driving the last couple of blocks and wondering, what am I getting in to? Trust me, they're probably open. Pro tip: Try the gravy. It's spicy!
