This place fries their apple pies in the same grease as their French fries, causing the pies to taste like French fries. Disgusting to be honest. The price of the same size pies as McDonalds are $0.50 each more than McDonald's, and Mc Donald's are so much better and the apples are not sour. Very unorganized every time i go here. You would think when Whataburger is your name you would know how to make a hamburger. I've been going to Whataburger for longer than most people have been alive, and in the last 18 months to two years, their product and their food has gone to shit. You can never be guaranteed what you ordered is exactly what you get. I went there about two or three months ago received the wrong food and all they wanted to do was come back and they would replace it. Then I ordered this evening a number two with cheese, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, and onion pretty much a plain old normal regular American hamburger and they screwed it up. Had nothing but ketchup on it. No lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. My wife ordered a cheeseburger, they don't even bother to put the cheese on the burger anymore and let it melt and if you put the cheese on the burger when it comes off the grill wrap it up, you would think the cheese would melt, of course, the hamburger going on. It wasn't hot either. I called and got my money back. I won't eat there if they're giving away free burgers for 30 days. With the price increases in these piss ass labor people I don't want anything to do with Whataburger. there's no pride in their work it's just a job and the commercials, well, most of those people probably are vegetarians. read more

I ordered 2 kids meals and 2 adults meals. I waited longer than usual, which was fine, but when I got home all my food was ice cold so I'm assuming it just set on the counter. I noticed cars that were behind me getting their food before me and driving around me. On top of the cold food, I ordered two kids meals and only one had a fruit snack in it. You can imagine how disappointed it would be for a kid when they don't receive their snack, but their sibling got theirs. I placed an order online on 12/9/21 at 1:25pm and went to pick it up. We arrived 7mins late and parked. After waiting 5mins I went inside to get it which wasn't a problem at for me. After talking to someone, I was told the power was out at 1:25pm so they never got it. I went back to the car and told my wife the issue. She went inside and showed the manager we had placed the order and also showed her it was pending from our bank account. My wife asked if they could simply make the order since we had already paid for it and the manager flat out told her "No". I will be calling the corporate office and the franchise owner in regards to this. I now get the pleasure of calling my bank to dispute this charge and wasting my time. Breakfast is a hard meal for me since I'm not an egg person. And on a very late night drive back to Austin, this Whataburger seemed like a great option. After all, it's around 5:15 in the morning and they'll fix me a burger. Again, Whataburger seems to be slipping since the new ownership took control. And it appears that this is not just limited to one location. Let's talk about the concerns. No iced tea available in the dining room. They went to the drive through area to get me some tea, though. (As has become the standard practice, there are no longer lemon packets available in the beverage area. And with the fact that I couldn't even get tea in that area, I decided it wasn't worth asking the staff.) Men's room? Out of paper towels. Thank goodness there were napkins available in the dining room. Burger? My Doube Whataburger Junior was ok -- although the bacon was far from crispy. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and my order came out quickly. Ordinarily, that's enough for a 3 star "A-OK" rating, but the decline in Whataburger is clear, which is even more bothersome since their prices tend to be higher than most fast food options. Long story short -- selling out to a Chicago venture capital firm and putting the Chief Finance Officer in charge doesn't help things at all. read more
