I seriously wonder if this location reuses leftover biscuits for their breakfast? This food is supposed to be made fresh, with some acceptable limitations of coarse. But when you can't serve a fresh biscuit and sausage to a customer and they have to go to Quiktrip just to get a fresh biscuits sausage, even though it's not exactly the one they want, that's pretty damn bad! For instance, when you serve a so called fresh made to order biscuit to a customer it should be exactly that. A fresh biscuit is somewhat moist, spongy, flavorful has a good aroma. It should not be hard, stale, brittle to the touch or basically just feel old. I have frequented this location for several years, I almost always get the same thing for breakfast, the sausage biscuit. I have had to send one or both biscuits back, because they were so hard, that you could literally tap on them with a pen and hear something similar to tapping on cardboard. I understand these stores need to keep waste to a minimum, but you do not keep yesterday's or the previous two or three days biscuits, and try to serve them as fresh. I definitely will not be going back to this location for breakfast. It is a waste of time, and a waste of money. But I understood them not being able to serve it until 11 I mean rules are rules. So we get back in like at 11:01 and order the taquito. It comes out clearly poorly made. Order a burger with ketchup instead and no pickles. Now I get the late night appeal of Whataburger. It's 3am and you've got a good buzz going and suddenly you crave one of their burgers. In LA, we have a chili burger place called Tommy's that holds the same mystique. Both joints seem like a good idea with beer goggles. Both are local traditions. Stopped here for years going to work. Whataburger, makes the best breakfast taquito's for any of the restaurant chains. One thing I really like is the fact that it is a 24 hour menu. You can get whatever at anytime you wish. Wasn't a fan of breakfast for years, could do without bacon, eggs, that sort. Loved it when I found a restaurant I could get a hamburger at 6:00 AM. I Recently converted to a breakfast lover, and I really enjoy their Sausage and Egg Taquito's. McDonald's and everyone elses (drive thru type) aren't even close to the excellent taste of these. I get mine with fries as I think they are less greasy than the hash browns. There is a brand spanking new Whataburger on the west side of 75 between Spring Creek and Parker that is outstanding.
