When I give a review, I compare a restaurant to a "like restaurant". Smashburger compared to other "like restaurants" was sub-par to other restaurants like it. My issue was mostly price for what you get in volume and quality. When you compare Smashburger to Jack in the Box, Whataburger, Sonic, Wendy's, and Burger King, you'll pay almost twice as much for the same amount of food at Smashburger vs. the others. Wonderful attention, help in ordering, along with 'just feeling the love' this group shares made our day. We'd brought our brother in law there and he at 74 stated 'wow, where do you find brussel sprouts at a burger spot'. SMASH we said. We love them and so glad permanently on the menu. Smashburger is a burger chain that upsells itself to be higher end but in the end still is fast food. We had the double bacon smash burger, which was delicious and decadent, but I'm not sure if the relatively hefty price tag (~$10) makes it worth it. Otherwise, the beef is definitely juicy, lettuce/tomatoes fresh, and toasted bun delicious. It can be hard to find surface parking immediately outside of the storefront, but thankfully there is an underground garage and they will validate your parking. Inside the restaurant, there is plenty of seating - there is an entire upper balcony so plenty of space to go around. All in all, I'm not sure I'd visit again, but it was sure a tasty burger. read more
