I work at the Walmart right next to the place, so I come over here all the time. I love the workers I love the food and today I had the misfortune of having to witness a rude customer for them. He Yelled at them saying that he's going to leave a bad review, so I'm coming on here to leave y'all good one. I hope that man realized when he walked out of the restaurant that there were cars lined up so far that they almost blocked the road to get back onto the main road. I'm in the drive-through lane was getting split up into two lanes because there were so many people wanting to eat here. This Whataburger is so nasty and unclean. I found a cockroach in my drink once. The speed and the service sucks. My family and I decided to eat here last Tuesday and when we ordered our food they took 45 minutes to bring us our food. There was only one girl that was running back and forth from the drive through and the front register and there was only one cook. The speed was slow and the food tasted terrible. June 17, 2016 at 11:30pm First off we were waiting about 5-10 minutes which was fine but when we got to the counter the clerk did not greet us promptly, then when she did she was unwrapping cups, asked us if we were ready then proceeded to open another package of cups and check the coffee. If you are going to be a minute or two doing other stuff then say so, she seemed to act like she was ready to take our order but was not. We got home and first off the Chocolate Shake was very heavy on the syrup. It tasted like an overload of sugar but the biggest issue was a large piece of eggshell that I bit into in my sausage, egg and cheese jalapeno biscuit sandwich. It was a good chunk too feel it hit my gums and scrap them and hit my tooth. What is the deal here; lets recap: 1. Poor customer service at the counter 2. Overly sugarized chocolate shake 3. Piece of egg shell in biscuit sandwich This was by far the worst service I have ever experienced at any fast food restaurant. I tried contacting the company by email and they did not respond. I do love Whataburger but they take forever to make your order. No matter what time you go here they are always busy. Iv gone in the afternoon and late night (2am) and they were still busy. I usually avoid What a burger like the plague due to several mistakes with previous orders. I was extremely hungry and due to construction in the area I had to go through WB anyway. I went through the drive thru and it was as if I was in bizarro world! First off the young lady taking my order was very pleasant. Secondly it didn't take FOREVER as is usually the case. And last yet most importantly the food was hot and fresh! Nothing in this,world is as disappointing as cold french fries. Furthermore my order was correct. I don't know if this was a perfect storm of events or if WB finally got it together at this location but it was awesome. I finally got tired of this place. I live close-by and few years ago, it used to be a very nice place to go to. Not sure what happened, but it went completely south: Missed orders ( better check your order before you leave this place), food is bad ( the buns are smashed, meat tastes like it was boiled, most of my fries tonight were less than 1/2 inch long. Employees seem like in the middle of a party, joking, going for drinks, moving around without apparent purpose and the "managers" (I have seen at least 3 during various visits) seem to have absolutely no control over their employees. Ordered a patty melt and apple pie. When I got them home 5 minutes later, they were both cold and the bread on the patty melt was hard. I ordered around 2:30 pm so the items were probably left over from lunch. I always thought they cooked their sandwiches fresh when they were ordered but I guess not. 6-21-18. Ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. I am always in search of a great crispy chicken sandwich-I'll have to keep looking because this sure wasn't it. It was cold, hard as a rock and over cooked. My visit was a total disaster! I noticed that the drive through line was wrapped around the block, so I chose to go in and carry out. Once I placed my order, I sat down and in about 15 minutes one of the people in drive through came in and placed her order. Yea 15 minutes! The customer complained to me how amazingly slow they were in the drive through. After 20 minutes went by I noticed that food was setting around in the back and not coming out to the main dining area. The manager left the building to go get supplies to make salads others standing around had ordered. After she left a couple of employees were going through the sacks trying to figure out what went where and to whom. About that time the woman from the drive through got her order. I walked up to the counter only to find out they had not started to make mine. They said they would get right on it. After 30 minutes my order came out and it was mixed in with someone else's. I then asked for my money back. I was told the only person who could refund money was the manager who was out shopping. Just then she appeared and short changed me. Once I got that straightened out, I left. By then others who were nearly out of gas in the drive through were coming into the main dinning room and placing their orders. Oh there is plenty more to write as I listened to the complaints around me while I was at What-A-Wait. With all the issues I noted, I do want to say that Casey (manager) was doing an awesome job. She was very professional, courteous, and never lost her cool with me. The problem is not with the manager or the employees who work there. The fish rots from the head down. Whata burger has good burgers but this location is a complete disaster. Process very disorganized and food takes LONG time. There were only 2 cars ahead of my when I end through the drive through and it took over TWENTY MINUTES to get my food. Eventually had to get out of my car and go inside. I normally love Whataburgers fried chicken strips with Texas toast and gravy but I've been trying to eat a no-carb diet. Whataburger actually has a great protein breakfast option if you can't make breakfast for yourself. Sausage breakfast platter with extra sausage and then ask for the grilled peppers and onions to be mixed in with your eggs. Its about the best option for a drive thru breakfast! read more

But who can really remove themselves from their childhood nostalgia. I am not one to complain. But here's a little advice for management. You need to work on customer service with your team. It's about creating an experience for your customers that them want to come back and spend more money. Now with that being said, on 2 separate days I've had the worst customer experience. And it seems like every time something goes wrong it's the same guy in the drive thru. The other night I went to pick up food. I sat in front of the speaker for 15 minutes with no one saying anything at all. Then I finally said hello. And the guy says I'll be with you in one moment. Then another 10 minutes went by and still no answer. So I decided to leave. What's even crazier is that the same thing happened to the vehicle in front of me. Which means the company was losing money. This guy that I'm speaking of will hand you drinks that are leaking and never asks if you want any condiments. And most of the time doesn't check your bag to make sure your order is correct! I don't know the guys name but I am for sure I'm not the only one that has had issues when this particular person is working. And when I called to speak to management they pretty much acted like it was no big deal! It's sad to see companies losing their grip on good customer service.
