So we stop by to get a quick lunch today. We are standing at the counter to order and we hear someone have a coughing fit . Sounded like he was very sick. We look over and it was an older man carrying someone's food out to them and at the same time literally coughing all over this food. My husband and I look at each other and say no way are we eating here. That dude will be bringing out our food in about 10 minutes . Not taking that chance so we get out of there fast. I have the whataburger app on my phone. It said I'd earned a free burger. I went to redeem it and the app asked if I wanted to redeem it on line or at the restaurant. I selected at the restaurant since my wife and I were headed there. We went through the drive through and when we tried to redeem the coupon, the employee told us that the coupon could only be used for on line orders and they wouldn't honor it. Whataburger needs to either educate their employees or update their broken app. We won't be heading there anytime soon especially with the attitude we received. Just picked up an order from this place. Have always enjoyed the burgers and chicken sandwiches. However, tonight my order included a chicken breast cut in half. When I called to ask why the young man didn't know, but did say he'd make it again. If he'd said we're low on chicken breast I'd have felt much better about the sandwich, but I was afraid to eat it so I tossed it and my dog ate it. read more

I am officially boycotting this location. We have had our order given to us incorrectly a few times now and tonight was the worst one yet. I ordered a cheeseburger with extra cheese--even paid extra for more cheese-- and got ZERO cheese, none, nada. To make it worse, they completely burned the bun, which was obvious from the second I opened it as it was completely BLACK, so why anyone would use that bun I have no idea. I tried to eat that burger, but it was so gross, I couldn't eat more than a couple bites. Oh well, thankfully I ordered apple pies. NOT. We ordered 4 apples pies and, instead, got 4 lemon pies, which all of us quickly decided unanimously were disgusting, so now we have 4 uneaten nasty lemon pies and a nasty uneaten burnt burger with no cheese. I called the store to ask for a refund and got the same answer they always give me when I call to notify them that my order was shorted or wrong-- that I have to bring the receipt into the store to get any type of refund. I have had orders shorted on numerous occasions and I never remember to keep the receipt and take it up there. So, instead, I'm just boycotting this store. I will give another Whataburger location a shot, but if they are as bad as this location then I'm done trying with Whataburger. read more

Ordered 2 large fries. Old cold French fries. Extremely disappointed in the way this location has been lately.

After patiently waiting 54 minutes to finally place my order; (tragically predicting it would take 17 minutes) as there was about 7 cars in front of us, I ask the man kindly how his day was. He didn't reply, which I understand it was a long day for him and a tight work environment. Finally placing my order after repeating myself about 7 times, I wait another 38 minutes for two cars to get their orders. I've worked fast food before and I'm sure they bumped the orders within minutes to not get bad reviews (doesn't help). They gave me 3 medium fries and 3 large shakes after I ordered large on every meal. I pulled forward about 6 feet before I realized, so I quickly reversed to tell him so I didn't have to wait another hour and a half just to upsize the fries. He said the manager was gonna upcharge us for this and I demanded they had either given us the right order because they got it wrong, or I wanted a refund (which was perfectly understandable under the circumstances). After waiting 20 minutes outside of my car, two cars passing as I wat for FRENCH FRIES. What happens next? I get impatient and re-enter the line, just to witness two Allen police squad cars pull up. They held up the line for another 30 MINUTES! And no car's got their food!! So after 2 hours of waiting for "fast food" I had lost hope because there was still 4 cars in front of me and they were most likely going to experience the same results. Point of the story - don't go to this Whataburger location. The night manager's and employee's are not dedicated to supporting their customer's and making sure their needs are met and have had a positive experience. Have a good day :) read more

Let me start off by saying - the cashiers are usually friendly. And they're patient. The food doesn't take too too long to come out either. The only reason I give 2 stars is that my orders are CONTINUOUSLY wrong every time I've been. Seriously. It'll be correct on the screen but wrong when I get it home. It's not the cashiers, it's the cooks. I know everyone has off days but it's been every order. That's not acceptable. I'm disappointed in you whataburger, step your game up. Classic goodness. This is my favorire burger joint just nosing out in-and-out . Grest taste huge burgers and i do like the onions chopped rather than rings. I used to come here often (pregnant, lol). I've had the pleasure of coming during breakfast, on various days. Yay they are open 24 hours!! Handled those late night pregnancy cravings. Breakfast is always hot and my order is always correct. Although the drive-thru line can get pretty long in the morning, my wait is not too long. I enjoy the morning drive-thru staff as well, I'm always greeted with a smile and sometimes small talk and nice conversation. What I ate: I always ordered the jalapeño cheddar biscuit breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese or sausage, egg, and cheese! Put some grape jelly on it! Pros: They use real eggs. Did I really just say that? Well they do. Some places the eggs don't taste like real cracked open eggs, more like something out of a carton. This location has filtered water if you order a cup of water. I always ordered my breakfast with their largest (the cup is HUGE) cup of ice water (I was pregnant and thirsty) .. so good. Cons: This is small but .. make sure you are specific about your order and reinforce it. Times when I've ordered a large cup of ice water (didn't mind paying for it) they would give me a medium cup of ice water. If I'm paying for a large cup of ice water, I want a large cup of ice water not medium. So I just requested they fix it and they always fixed it happily. read more

It seams that no matter where I go my meal is always wrong some how some way. Due to being short on time today because of having to run errands during my lunch break I stoped in at Whataburger off Stacy Road in Allen, TX. I probably haven't eaten at Whataburger in years. I was pleasantly surprised to see a tempestuous menu. Everything looked amazing; I was so conflicted on what to order. Thank God for the pictures! After getting home with my order I was surprised at the level of detail that had been adhered to in the creation of my order. Needless to say I picked up the phone and called to speak with the manager "Paul" about my delightful experience. He and his team seem to be paying attention over there and I highly recommend this place to eat. read more

I have been going to the Whataburger pretty much daily for years. The restaurant is always clean, well lit, drink station is always ready and the staff are always very attentive and friendly. I am though amazed that others have posted such negative responses to a place I dine at all the time. Maybe I know that Friday night it is going to be packed with teenagers and families with children. The restaurant usually hits capacity and getting food to customers can be a challenge. It is busy for a reason. Their food is great, their drinks taste better than other restaurants because they filter their water. I do see how people bark out their order and then criticize on Yelp when it is not exactly perfect. I see first hand how customers yell at the employees because, they were inconvenienced. Funny that everything they type is shown in big letters at the drive in monitors and at each order station inside. It you are customizing your order, maybe slowing down and giving the employee time to understand what you would like would be in order instead of insulting them on Yelp. That is probably the difference between me and some of the other complaints on Yelp. If a place is rude to me or has bad food, I just don't go there anymore. You have one bad experience out of a hundred and you go on a witch hunt campaign to spearhead putting them out of business. I would bet most restaurant complainers that feel the world owes them something, never worked in retail or restaurants. Pity. Whataburger has too much class to spit in your food. If you don't like Whataburger, hate the people, hate the service, then do us all a favor and just don't go there.
