My first time at this location and it's been awhile since I've had some Whataburger. The worker who took my order was great. She was very friendly and super nice (Sorry I forget her name). Waited about 10mins or less for my food. Another worker brought our food to us while we were sitting down and was super nice. We had a coupon for a free whataburger burger if you order a medium fries and medium drink. My husband ate the burger and said it was huge but a bit on the dryer side (we paid for extra cheese). The fries had a little too much salt on it but was good nonetheless. I ordered the 3 piece chicken strip and it was as good as I remembered it. I ate it with. gravy and their gravy has never disappointed me. Overall, service was great, food was great and the atmosphere was great. The store was clean and the workers were very friendly. If I could give -stars, that would be the only acceptable option. However, I must give at least 1 to leave a review. I am beyond disappointed in this location based on the service, food, and also lack of response from the email I sent to customer service. I gave them time to respond from escalations and after two emails - crickets. How is that for customer service? We arrived as a family of 4. Immediately, noticed a sign saying they were out of Diet Coke. That's pretty much the only drink my husband and I order BUT that wasn't a deal breaker obviously. There should be other options, right? We ordered our meals (I ordered a jalapeno cheeseburger meal, no tomatoes, no onions), my husband ordered a bacon burger, and my children ordered chicken strips meals. This is important information because when we got home both my husband and I were sick immediately! I'm not surprised based on the condition of the service and cleanliness. We didn't even finish our meals. You'll see photos attached to show the horrible lack of cleanliness and care for the interior of the restaurant. Hair on the floor, spills everywhere, every table near us dirty, bugs live and dead along with dirt and dust in the window sills, and lastly - icing on the cake - the ceiling tile started pouring water ALL over me and my food. Now, the manager did come over and offer to remake food BUT after seeing the condition of the facility and now being wet - I told her no thanks. I absolutely will never step foot into this location, again UNLESS they drastically improve. The fact I haven't even received a response from their escalation team tells me a LOT about their customer service and care about it. DO NOT RECOMMEND this location whatsoever. read more

Time for an update! After seeing a post earlier by Curt V. I started thinking about Whataburger. For decades it's been a staple in my burger world. Until,a few years ago I was in the area of this location today about Blood sugar bottom. So,I threw caution to the wind and decided to give them a shot. It's been a year since I've been here. When placing my order,I specifically asked that they cook me fresh patties. No, precooked meat please. In about 10 minutes my hot, neatly wrapped double meat with cheese,burger all the way,was delivered to my table . Fries were hot and delicious and to my amazement,I bit into the best Whataburger I've had in years. Wow! Perfect. Also,a good sign was,the kitchen and counter were fully staffed. Been a Whataburger fan for years, however, I have a complaint. Purchased a discount card from the local high school which included Whataburger. The card was good for a year, so for me, a good deal. I t worked fine for a couple of months then I showed up one Friday and they refused to honor the card even though they were shown the card, she said it was expired. The card clearly showed the expiration date but she wouldn't honor. Contacted management and they sent a letter telling me I was correct and offered to honor it the next time I went. A few days ago I took my card to get my burger and discount and Whataburger had dropped from the program even though people who bought it still had 5 months till expiration. Needless to say, not pleased and if that is how they treat their customers, I will use either JC's burgers because they are still on the card. Wow! Why all the bad reviews for great fast food. Helluva lot better then that In and Out place. Haha!! Service is usually spot on. Even when they have newbies in training. Everyone has gotta start somewhere. I got the Whataburger Combo with fries and 1/2 and 1/2 tea. They always give me extra ketchup if I ask for it. The napkins are always in the bag. Patrick, Tera & Essence all were super accommodating. Coming around to our table, very friendly & courteous. Helping with the app., service-oriented, smiling faces are what you are going to find. The food isn't too bad, either. Lol! Boiling Springs/Hwy. 9 is a highly recommended, convenient location for both of us. Patrick seems to work a lot in the late mornings and afternoons, while greeting the customers no matter how many orders he is filling. Great gentleman. I heard Whataburger was a must try while I'm down in Texas but I was really disappointed. I was told it might be a location thing, but a few of my local friends mentioned Whataburger was mediocre anyways. Staff was friendly. Burger was the driest thing I've ever had. Had to sip my drink after each bite. It didn't help that the burger was pretty big and wide too so that just made the experience drawn out. Fries were average, but better than the burger for sure. We use to love Whataburger but the quality and service has gone down so much we won't be going back. Just placed a curbside order and waited over 15 minutes after checking in. I finally went in to inquire about the status. They reached under a shelf and pulled it out. Avoid this location. They are pre making their burgers so you get old dried out patties. They'll get your order wrong more often than they get it correct. If you must order, skip the drive through - you'll wait forever for your wrong order. Speaking of wrong, when they don't give you what you ordered they want you to drive all the way back to the store to show a receipt despite being able to just give them the receipt info that they already have. It's a cop out to avoid making good on the order. Missing item, cold food, and poor customer service! We placed an order via whataburger.com. The order was delivered 20 minutes late, which would have been fine if the items were warm. They were cold and an item we ordered was missing. This Whataburger uses Skip Cart to deliver. There was no way to report the problem to Skip Cart, so we called Whataburger, twice. The second call we spoke to the Manager who said that they would not deliver the missing item and could not reimburse us. We could save the receipt, which only part of was in the bag. We did not have the full receipt. We had to call customer service, which took a message because it's the weekend. This is a horrible example of customer service. We will not order from Whataburger again. Very disappointed. read more

It has been scientifically proven that it's 79.187% better than In and Out. Science bro. Know what else is good? Their ketchup. Not the spicy one, but the regular one. The spicy is good, but the regular is damn good. Sure it contains high fructose corn syrup, but trust me on this. Put that container of ketchup on top of your drink and dip and drive. Thank me later. There was an older White man working the register, seemingly the manager on duty, who was basically yelling at this guy in line. Loud enough I could hear him in the restroom. It wasn't a pleasant or friendly voice, as if trying to help someone hard of hearing either... he was being condescending and had a very harsh tone. When I came out the old employee was then admonishing this man in line and then said he was yelling because he couldn't hear the guy "behind the mask"... which was a lie because I could hear the guy in line standing 6' away. He then gave the man in line a cup, and the lids are in clear view (and easily in cough zone with no barrier), and the man starts to reach for a lid so the old guy starts yelling at him again (saying for safety reasons he can't touch them). If safety is even important they wouldn't be out where an airborne disease could easily reach them. The bathroom was dirty, soap dispenser appeared broken and didn't have soap, and the sink was constantly dripping water. For someone so consumed with safety, it wasn't apparent outside of yelling at this one man in line. Side note, they dumped the food in the bag upside down so it was out of the container in the bottom of my bag. Overall, extremely poor customer service. read more

I love my Whataburger, but this location doesn't get my order correct half the time. Today for example...I ordered a #1 meal with cheese easy ketchup and easy mayonnaise. (You have to tell them easy or it's Swimming in it). As they were making my order I noticed the receipt said mustard not mayo and told the gal who took my order. Partially my fault for not opening everything up right then when they handed me the bag, but since I was going to be eating it at home I didn't want it to get cold. So naturally, when I get ready to eat I open up a burger with everything BUT the way I ordered it. I looked up the phone # here on Yelp and called them. Guy named Mike answered and said he was manager and he was sorry for mixup, and would make it right on my next visit. I guess we'll see.
