Mind you --- I chose to eat inside... please dont unless you are armed and the smells of people who have not had a shower in a week doesn't bug you. There were two homeless people outside begging. Inside there were three. Two of which were wrapped up in blankets and one had a totally bad armpit smell that permeated the whole restaurant. It is small so there was no sanctuary from that reek. Very friendly service at the order counter. Mike asked if we had been there before and since we had not, told us a bit about Whataburger. He came by our table and checked on us. He saw we hadn't tried the Spicy Ketchup. He told us we had to try it as it is a signature condiment at Whataburger. Our food was served to us at our table pretty quickly. Everything was quite good. The Bacon & Cheese Whataburger was large and was tasty. My niece who was dining with me really liked the French fries. Being late at night, it was nice to have security at the property. read more

This was the only place I stopped to eat at in Albuquerque, and I'm glad I did. The staff here was incredibly friendly. The cashier took his time and explained the menu to me, even though I didn't ask him to. Once the food was ready, an employee brought it to my table and made sure I had everything I needed. The food was great, very fresh. Mostly, I was impressed with the manager. My mom is vegetarian, and orders a burger with no meat. It confuses a lot of people and most of the time she ends up with a dry piece of bread with lettuce and tomato inside. I am working graveyard and when get off most restaurants only serve breakfast. I found Whataburger on yelp and saw it was 24 hours, I thought WTH I will give there burgers a chance, boy am I glad I did. First off there green chili burgers are as good as any gourmet burger restaurant in town. There fries are second to none and I find myself craving there milk shakes all night long. I have been here five times in the last month, my food is fresh and hot and every order has been 100% correct, I always use the drive thru so it is really cool that my order has been right every time. Couples date ends with a Whataburger drive-thru order around 9 p.m. on a Saturday night. We order 3 jalepeno & cheese Whataburgers, 1 green chile burger, 2 onion rings, and 1 fries. Get home and realize only 2 burgers and 1 fries in the bags. Immediately call Store #247 (200 Menual NW) and talk to a snotty Assistant Manager who first readily acknowledged the error, and then insisted I return at my convenience to pick the rest of our order. I said it wasn't going to be convenient any time soon and I'd like a refund on that which I didn't receive. She persisted about the return visit, denied me any sort of refund, at which point I angrily hung up. We ended up splitting the 2 burgers and 1 fries four ways and called it a night. Some 2 weeks later I return (and no, it STILL wasn't convenient) to the location and ask for Manager Juan Winnikoff. I presented my receipt, and courteously told him what had happened. He readily arranged for me to receive the balance of my order--no protest from me. I gave him my name, signed a receipt, and waited about 10 minutes for my order. I received the 2 Burgers but only 1 Onion Rings (never got the 2 that I paid for). What's more, the guy never apologized for the gaff or even asked any probing questions to find out more. Here's the kicker: my wife's happy that we have Whataburger for dinner that night, but the joke is on us... We both got horribly sick just hours after eating those burgers! Whataburger is one of my all time favorites; however, I would gladly forgo it if it means dealing with the staff at this particular location. I've met some rude people before, but these guys take the cake. I was alone, so I went through the drive-thru. When I pulled up to the window, i was greeted by the frumpiest person everThis lady would not even crack a smile. She looked miserable. I handed her my money and started to ask for spicy ketchup. I couldn't get my question out because she closed the window as I was talking. When she handed me my drink, I asked agin for spicy ketchup. She told me to pull up and she would bring the food to me. What an adventure that was...she flings the bag at me without even looking. Of course I said thank you, and she walked away without even acknowledging my existence. Even a primal grunt would have been better than the silent treatment. It was horrific. The food, which is always top notch at all the whataburgers I've ever been to, was also a little off. GREAT food......HORRIBLE service. Jalapeños that's were ordered were not on the tray when the food came out. The girl MADE both my partner and I open our burgers to make sure they were not inside. She said she'd be right back with them but never did. I had to get up and ask who I'm assuming was the manager for my jalapeños which he handed to me with what I interpreted as a scowl. The manager then proceeded to sit in the booth on the other side of the divider with two employees that seemed to be on break and ask about their exciting plans for the weekend as he called other Whataburger locations asking if they had any "Small Meat" or "Shake Mix". It exists. That is the only redeeming quality to this spot. Food was cold, service was unpleasant, took five minutes for them to take my order at the drive through (truly, there was only one car in front of me). Watched through the pay/pickup window while one drive-through order was taken, one lobby order was taken, and one lobby order was delivered. My food was straight up cold once I received it. Clearly this franchise has been forgotten and I regret choosing this location over one only a mile further from my house. I am from las vegas nv. We dont have whataburger there, our best burger shop is inn n out. A co-worker of mine had told me that whataburger was in fact better than inn n out. At the time, my first instinct was to burn her at the stake for the blasphemous claim, but hey 21st century and all, I waited to try it myself. It is now time to get the 2 x 4s..... not only was this nowhere near the quality of inn n out, but this was in fact one of the worst burgers I've ever eaten! The bun was so dry and hard it could have doubled for a hockey puck. The onions were sour rancid, after picking them off, the patty itself was so bland I thought I was eating the wrapping paper, and clearly their solution for poor ingredients was to drench mustard down until no colors but yellow were visible. I have cooked with pure mustard seed before, this was stronger! I have absolutely no idea how this place has a single repeat customer. I decided to stop by this location because it was on the way. I ordered a Bacon Cheese Whataburger ($5.19--didn't the sign say something else?) and a small fry ($1.74) for a total of $7.45. I was not expecting to spend this much, but figured for this price it must be pretty good and perhaps the ingredients are fresh. It took about 5 minutes to receive my order from the pay window to the pick up window. When I got to work 5 minutes later and dug in, I was incredibly disappointed. Most places that sell this size of fry charge a dollar. I must've received food that was made a good while back. It was 5:45 pm. The burger AND the fries were hardly warm. Everything tasted pretty bland and were definitely NOT worth $7.45. I was dumbfounded. I will not be returning. read more
