Salami & mozz sandwich with a side of pasta salad and a cookie
    Atalanta P.

This little place is right next to the downtown library and super convenient. The atmosphere is welcoming with friendly service to match. The menu of sandwiches, salads, soups, and soft drinks isn't exhaustive but there are plenty of appetizing choices for very reasonable prices. It's a perfect spot for a quick lunch.

That place can't be in a library..can it? A restaurant in a library?? It's true! It is in the same building as the down town library and separated by an arbitrary pane of glass. I was in search of a good French dip. I found one. I think it was a little pricey for the size, but it was very good. I added on cheese and green Chile ($1 each). I loved the fact that it came with a side and a cookie. I ordered a homemade iced tea, too. The au jus really made this sandwich come together, as every au jus should. The pasta salad accompaniment was light and delicious. The cookie was soft and chewy. It was just a good meal all around.

Easy downtown location if you work near. It is actually in the same building as the library downtown! Cute little deli serving up lunch, making it quick and easy with an inviting staff every time. If you are into something fresh and interesting, try the lavender lemonade. As I am reviewing for the vegans out there: There aren't many choices but the staff are so knowledgeable and they seem have a few vegan options and or can make some dishes vegan. I ordered their vegan curry soup and a salad with just the veggies. I asked what vegan dressing they had and they mentioned the balsamic vinaigrette. Then the manager said - well hold on, it has honey. Wow I was blown away because few know that honey is not what some vegans eat. So knowledgeable! The veggie wrap can be made vegan !

This pic is from the ABD website...but the horses are great! Does yelp have a survey question for horse parking?

Great sandwiches with fresh, simple ingredients. I'm not crazy about tuna, but I like their version. Just wish they were open on weekends!

The bread is clearly baked fresh and was nice and crusty on the outside and fluffy with the perfect chew on the inside. My mini me 1 inhaled her grilled cheese (of which my husband ordered the full size and also demolished his), and mini me 2 and I shared the toasted tuna melt. Good balance of tuna, celery, and bread ratio, but I didn't dig the olives in it. There's a mini kale salad that comes with entrees, and it was healthy and palatable for kale. We did end up balancing that green with the pistachio cruffin and pistachio chocolate chip cookie. Would definitely go back for the cruffin with its flaky layers and luscious pastry cream. Cookie was less impressive but still worth the impulse buy. Indoor and breezy outdoor seating available. Highly recommend!

We ordered and got a table inside right away. First impression is that its very inviting and cozy. Staff was so friendly. We ordered the lemon herb turkey sandwich, tuna toastie sandwich, and croque madam. Every single sandwich was absolutely delicious. The turkey had fresh dill and sprouts, avocado and this lemon jam which was the star. Tuna was so good. Some tuna is really fishy and this one had such a great flavor and the croque madam with that side of mustard was such a great combination. It was so good I came back during the week and had the beef sirlion sandwich that was so flavorful with the arugula and onion jam and had to finish it off with the best lemon blueberry muffin. Highly recommend if you are looking for good food with great flavor combinations.

Just around the corner, I found their cute mom and pop restaurant. The interior is simple but clean. The staff were overly friendly and welcoming! I sat at there diner bar style seating instead of a table. Their menu has several breakfast and lunch items available. I chose the pork in red chile sauce. It came with eggs, potatoes, and beans. The food came really quick, within 5-7 min. It was delicious!! The diced pork wasn't dry and blended perfectly in their flavorful red chile sauce. I tried the green chile sauce too, and it's fantastic but does carry some heat (just a nice warm glow not blazing hot). The potatoes, scrambled eggs, and beans bursted with flavor in the chile sauce. The sides were plentiful in quantity. If you are in downtown Albuquerque, you have to try Baca Boys!!

I peruse the menu, another customer drops their shake. Gonna be longer. That's fine, go help them. "No, I can take your order REALLY FAST." Well, I was looking at the menu, but cool to be rushed. I remember when the young lady that used to work there was at the counter. 6-8 people in line, greeted with a smile and Hi! Welcome in! There was a longer wait, but it was ok, because the service was good, and so was the food. Today? I'll never return. I spent over $15.00 including a credit card surcharge (a business owner that wants to take credit cards but can't be bothered to be a business owner and pay their bills.) I left a $5 cash tip - I figured I'd the business owner can't pay the 3% on a bad merchant account, they most likely aren't paying the staff livable wages... I sat down and put my gear down, and waited... for about 15 minutes, before this garbage salad that was falsely advertised as having toppings and 3 sliced chick'n strips. The entire salad didn't fill the bowl.? On the bottom were less than a teaspoon of diced tomatoes. In the entire salad there was ONE "fried onion." The lettuce was chopped like slop, there was barely enough chick'n to call it 1.5 slices. Absolute trash. For 15$ I ate my salad, listening as Morticia Addams' understudy pleasantly said good bye, have a nice day, et cetera to the customers who were leaving. I got up, threw my trash, walked out. Silence: The whole time I was in there, a cheap speaker was streaming some crappy 90s "radio friendly hip hop." When my salad was brought to me, even after explaining it's very hard to eat, or carry , a salad on a motorcycle, it arrived in a to-go/carry out, lid is RIGHT THERE,.Morticia helpfully pointed it out, a subtle hint that I wasn't a welcome guest. As I was gearing up to get on my motorcycle out comes our antagonist. Not to be polite or anything. To smoke or vape. I didn't stick around to smell which one she was doing in the doorway. I get it, lucky goose doesn't want my money. They've made it abundantly clear. That's fine. I'll go to Steelbender, where they have vegan options, and like that customers come on to give them money. I accidentally posted this review to the uptown location. I've never been, and will never be, to that location. This review was the knob hill location.
