Salami & mozz sandwich with a side of pasta salad and a cookie
    Atalanta P.

This little place is right next to the downtown library and super convenient. The atmosphere is welcoming with friendly service to match. The menu of sandwiches, salads, soups, and soft drinks isn't exhaustive but there are plenty of appetizing choices for very reasonable prices. It's a perfect spot for a quick lunch.

That place can't be in a library..can it? A restaurant in a library?? It's true! It is in the same building as the down town library and separated by an arbitrary pane of glass. I was in search of a good French dip. I found one. I think it was a little pricey for the size, but it was very good. I added on cheese and green Chile ($1 each). I loved the fact that it came with a side and a cookie. I ordered a homemade iced tea, too. The au jus really made this sandwich come together, as every au jus should. The pasta salad accompaniment was light and delicious. The cookie was soft and chewy. It was just a good meal all around.

Easy downtown location if you work near. It is actually in the same building as the library downtown! Cute little deli serving up lunch, making it quick and easy with an inviting staff every time. If you are into something fresh and interesting, try the lavender lemonade. As I am reviewing for the vegans out there: There aren't many choices but the staff are so knowledgeable and they seem have a few vegan options and or can make some dishes vegan. I ordered their vegan curry soup and a salad with just the veggies. I asked what vegan dressing they had and they mentioned the balsamic vinaigrette. Then the manager said - well hold on, it has honey. Wow I was blown away because few know that honey is not what some vegans eat. So knowledgeable! The veggie wrap can be made vegan !

This pic is from the ABD website...but the horses are great! Does yelp have a survey question for horse parking?

Easy to see the restaurant from the parking lot, cute tasteful neon lights point the way. The cook greeted me as I walked in, looking over his shoulder and let me me know someone would be with me soon (much appreciated; you never want to feel unseen) Neddie/Netty was helping at a table but acknowledged me then came over to show me to a table. She proved so helpful. I explained it was my first time there, she asked what I wanted to drink then said she'd send it out: it came by robot! I grabbed my drink then I had to read the screen to send it on its way: it was cute. When it came to ordering, newbie here, it looked like I wouldn't hv enough time to savor any of the main entrees what with other orders going on, and me hvg to leave for my next appt in 40 minutes, so I just ordered a shrimp tempura appetizer. A few minutes later, a dish was delivered to a nearby table when the cook, I learned his name is Viktor, asked if he could make it in 2-3 minutes, would I still like the bulgogi over rice or Japanese ramen: I looked to Neddy for her recommendation and went with the latter. Viktor was as good as his word: steaming sizzling plate of yumminess in front of me within 5". I still took 3/4 of the dish with me and it's even better as leftovers! Re: the shrimp tempura appetizer It was ok, perfectly battered and fried but seemed factory-determined cookie-cutter, all the same size, no heads, no tails. But it's a sweet, spacious establishment, cool in the 100° heat without being chilly, friendly attentive thoughtful service and tasty food. I'll be back to try the main stuff -- and allow ample time to savor the offerings.

I must say the last time I went I asked what ingredients are in the egg salad, tuna salad, and chicken salad because I have food allergies. The server said, "Oh they don't tell us. All the recipes are secret." Ok well I sort of get that but sort of don't having allergies. So beware if you do too! I decided to take my chances and order the Three Salad meal. This comes with three scoops of salad; one of egg salad, one of tuna, and one of chicken salad. It's served with tomatoes. The salads were very tasty! Unfortunately there was something that was undetectable in the chicken salad and I felt too weird to eat something I couldn't place so I threw that salad away. I asked for crackers for my salads but they didn't have any. Booooooo. I also ordered a warm blueberry muffin and it was scrumptious!! My mom got an egg salad sandwich with a cup of French Onion soup which she said was delicious. This place is decorated the exact same way as it was in the 80s when I was a child, so it's fun to go with my mom. It's ver nostalgic. However, I won't go on my own or suggest it to friends now.
