I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! This is my third time coming here, and the service has been consistently poor. The first two times, I ordered over the phone, then drove 20 minutes to pick up two mango smoothies, only to wait 43 minutes after arriving. There were barely any customers, so waiting over an hour total was completely unreasonable. Today was even worse. My boyfriend ordered summer rolls and spring rolls and clearly specified multiple times that we only wanted shrimp, since I have a severe pork allergy. He drove 30 minutes from work, only to be told the order still wasn't ready and had to wait another 18 minutes. When he got home, I checked the food (as I always do) and found pork in my "only shrimp" summer rolls. I called, and they told us to bring them back and they would remake them right away. We drove another 20 minutes back, only to wait an additional 18 minutes because, once again, the food was not ready. This place is overpriced, understaffed, and unreliable. I love how this restaurant is in a former KFC. The owners utilized the space very well and made it quite charming. I went here for lunch yesterday for the first time. Since I wasn't in the mood for a bowl of hot soup on a hot day, I opted for the beef vermicelli. The dish was prepared very well and the service was very fast. My only complaint was the portion size. It was literally the smallest bowl of noodles I've ever been served in a restaurant. I thought maybe I ordered an appetizer portion by mistake lol. I understand wanting to cut food costs, but skimping on both beef and noodles for $15?? I left kind of hungry. I usually get the vegetarian pho, I like that they separate the fresh ingredients so they don't get soggy by the time you get your food home. The Bang Cuon is a very under rated dish and they do it very well. Solid Vietnamese cuisine throughout but I suggest people try something a little different. The pho was really flavorful and delicious! We started with the most delicate crab Rangoon appetizer, it was super yummy! We also tried the Philadelphia roll & edamame, which was tasty. Unique name, kinda pricey. Don't recommend getting the pho for takeout. I'm from the Bay Area so we are blessed to have some of the best Vietnamese Pho. With that being said, it's hard to find anything alike on this side of the US lol. This place wasn't terrible only because the fried rice and hibachi made up for it. As far as the pho, I would not recommend it for takeout at all. The soup was piping hot but the noodles were hard and raw. I had to heat them up for them to soften and be edible. The fried rice was sooooo good though. The sauce on the side really topped it off. One thing to note, for reasons unknown this place only takes cash if you decide to order takeout but dining in you can pay with card. Odd. What the Pho will always have a special place in my heart because it was the first place I had lunch at when I started my new job nearby a few months ago. I've become a regular and the server sees me come in and ask me if I wanted my usual (but will confirm whether I want the egg rolls or not) and I have food in front of me in about 10 minutes. I love their egg rolls (most other places call it spring rolls). They're freshly fried (burning hot) and served with the vinegar-y dipping sauce. The first time I went, I order the House Special pho. I loved the soup because it was very flavorful, but there were a few pieces of tendon that were definitely undercooked and still crunchy (they're supposed to be soft and smooth and breaks down easily). So ever since then, I order the N1 (basically no chance of getting undercooked Tendon again). And that has been my regular dish since. When you order take out, the components are packed individually so nothing gets soggy or overdone. They said when you make it at home, cook the noodles first on their own, put them in a bowl, then heat and the soup and whatever toppings then pour that over the noodles to soften the noodles. Those are great tips. This is another one of those places I will for sure revisit as soon as sit down is allowed again. read more

What the Pho is exceptional. Great food, great service, great prices. Also, you can eat very healthy here, but still feel like you actually ate something when you leave. I come here a lot with coworkers for lunch, and have started to share word of this place with friends and family. It is ALWAYS a hit when I bring people here. It's a very small place, so I imagine it might get crowded at times, but you can usually almost find an open table quickly at lunch time. The Summer Rolls are excellent. Don't eat pork or shrimp, so no go on the summer roll. I opted for the veggie spring roll, crab Rangoon, pho ga (chicken). The stench of the cleaning agent is still fresh on the table, as are the wet streaks. It seat yourself. I took a clean table as some looked less than sanitary. They have the good chili oil I like for my Pho soup. It's a cold, wet and rainy day, perfect weather for Vietnamese Pho. Porcelain spoons and disposal chopsticks. The water tastes like nice, fresh and dirty city water. The crab Rangoon skin is super light, delicately light and flaky, not heavy at all, so crabby and tasty. Want to eat up all 6 pieces of the crab Rangoon. I did end up eating all 6, though had only intended on eating 1-2 to try it and take the rest home. Too good to not eat it all up in the end. They gave me two small plates of bean sprouts, jalapeños, Thai basil, cilantro and limes. I used them all up too. The chicken pho broth was as expected, level it up with the hoisin and the sriracha and they you have yourself a tantalizing pho broth. If it doesn't make you sniffle throughout your meal, it's too bland and lack luster. Add some heat to it. I would have liked more pieces of chicken. The chicken pieces were small and too few in the bowl. The veggie spring roll is nice and crispy and is filled with minced mushrooms, bean sprouts and carrots, not a blend of veggies for the rolls. The crab Rangoon was the best part of my meal and well worth coming back for them. The service was average, not super warm or friendly, rather short and to the point. Great personalities for counter style locales and fares. This is a local favorite and folks in the vicinity, they put out some good food. I see why they have high marks. What The Pho puts out a good bowl of pho. I'm picky - I don't like to doctor my pho broth to make it taste good, and WTP's is tasty when it hits the table! I've tried it with the more expected meat option (rare beef is my preference) and with shrimp. Both great. Veggie plate (sprouts, basil, jalapeño) adds that fresh pop. I rarely add any of the squeeze sauce options...maybe Sriracha if I want heat. Their Bun (vermicelli) plate is another strong option if you're not feeling pho. Meats (pork is our preference) are well seasoned and cooked. That sauce - hm hmm! Crispy and spring (fresh) rolls are both great starts. I love their Cold Vietnamese Coffee (sweetened) despite the fact it's a small serving and expensive for what you get. Private parking, but not a ton of it. Sufficient seating - we've been there a couple times where all tables were taken, and other times where we had our pick of tables. Service is consistently friendly. read more
