At the time we didn't realize that Roberta Flack was born in Black Mountain and the mural on the side of the historic building was in fact Roberta! When you step inside it is cozy and comfortable but we could see there was a large outdoor space as well. I stopped in at the counter and decided to order a pint of their Hazy IPA. We wandered to the outdoor space which is two levels, we explored the upstairs area first since there was a thunderstorm we thought it would be cool to watch the rain and lightning while sipping on a cold beer. We also learned there was a food trailer at the back of the property, which looks to be a permanent resident. They offer items such as pulled pork, poutine, brisket, and more. We ended up chatting with other customers and had a really enjoyable afternoon. We enjoyed our time at Black Mountain Brewing and will absolutely be back!

I loved the atmosphere here, again it took me back to when craft beer was a community, and not an industry as it is today. I had a flight with the steam beer, pale ale, West Coast IPA, and barleywine. Everything was on point and very well made.
