Kind of hard to tell,…read moregiven the odd way the City of Greeley has handled the inter-inter-intersection of 23rd Avenue, Ninth Street (one-way), Tenth Street (one-way) and Tenth Street (two-way). Someone should talk to them about the lack of coherency and consistency in the quality of street-planning. Despite the confusion and the odd angle at which it is set, Debey's seems always to have plenty of customers. The number of returned customers alone tells us something about the quality of the work. Furthermore, I can vouch that the owner is not one of these types of mechanics that wishes a robot would deliver the vehicle to be repaired so he wouldn't ever have to talk to people. Martin Debey is a friendly fellow, doesn't make you wait an inordinate amount of time, and so far has priced his work competitively. (That means, they are not too expensive.) Also, if something doesn't quite work out, say a repair is made, but the vehicle still shows signs of the problem or of a problem that might be related, Mr. Debey doesn't hesitate to take the vehicle back and work on it again until the problem is solved. We've had better luck calling ahead and making an appointment. That probably makes their lives easier, too, as that way they don't have twice as many cars handed over for repairs on Friday as they do on Monday. All's fair in love and auto-mechanics. But you should still play fair in both places. Good work. I then got a call on Monday from a female at the shop saying our parts were in and they would like to get me scheduled for later in the week or the following week. Which was weird because I already had an appointment for the following day. We dropped our car off early in the morning and did not hear anything all day. I called later in the afternoon and the same female answered the phone. I asked for an ETA on when our car would be done. She said she could not do that and she would call when it was done. I felt she was rude and in a hurry to get me off the phone. So I called back and asked to speak to someone else who could help me more as I was trying to plan out a ride to the shop. She again was rude saying they had a lot of cars to work on that day, which was not my issue. I felt like since I had an appointment, our car would be a priority. I then asked to speak to someone else, which she did not like. I was then able to speak to a technician who was actually able to give me an estimate. Not sure why she couldn't take the time to go and ask for an estimated time. This is a very small car shop and would not have been hard for her to do. Then when I went to pay, I was told of a 4% Credit card fee. Which added an additional 65+ dollars to our total. Why wasn't this shared with us at the beginning? I most certainly would have brought in cash. But this was 10 minutes before closing and I needed my car for the following day for a long road trip. I am not sure why it is so hard to communicate with your customers. I was not asking for a specific time for when my car was going to be done. I understand we were not the only vehicle there. But get up, walk into the shop and ask for an ETA. And why is it so hard to be transparent about a fee upfront vs. waiting until a customer comes and pays? Sometimes the little things can go a long way. We will not be back. And I know that losing our business will not hurt your shop. But good customer service can go a long way!!

After a short time they called to let me know the engine was shot & they could do a used engine with 90K on it for $6,000 to &7,000. I opted to have the car towed to the Greeley Toyota dealer, where I bought it new thinking maybe Toyota might give me a deal on a new or used car. It turned out that the engine just needed new spark plugs & one ignition coil and now it runs great. Needless to say, I will not return to Accelerated Auto for any work after such an extreme misdiagnosis. I only hope it was an honest error.

When I took my…read moretruck to get Smog checked in California, I found out that it wasn't for California and had to spend another $300 to get the right one. I called Collins to see what they could do for me, since I did not get what I paid for and the answer was. No, it's done and nothing I can do for you. A shop like them should at least offer partial refund or something to make a customer happy. They must not care about their customers. Would never go back or recommend anyone else to go either.
