I am struggling with a rating as our experience started off great with good communication from Greg. He was able to order our parts quickly and I made an appt for early on a Tuesday morning. I then got a call on Monday from a female at the shop saying our parts were in and they would like to get me scheduled for later in the week or the following week. Which was weird because I already had an appointment for the following day. We dropped our car off early in the morning and did not hear anything all day. I called later in the afternoon and the same female answered the phone. I asked for an ETA on when our car would be done. She said she could not do that and she would call when it was done. I felt she was rude and in a hurry to get me off the phone. So I called back and asked to speak to someone else who could help me more as I was trying to plan out a ride to the shop. She again was rude saying they had a lot of cars to work on that day, which was not my issue. I felt like since I had an appointment, our car would be a priority. I then asked to speak to someone else, which she did not like. I was then able to speak to a technician who was actually able to give me an estimate. Not sure why she couldn't take the time to go and ask for an estimated time. This is a very small car shop and would not have been hard for her to do. Then when I went to pay, I was told of a 4% Credit card fee. Which added an additional 65+ dollars to our total. Why wasn't this shared with us at the beginning? I most certainly would have brought in cash. But this was 10 minutes before closing and I needed my car for the following day for a long road trip. I am not sure why it is so hard to communicate with your customers. I was not asking for a specific time for when my car was going to be done. I understand we were not the only vehicle there. But get up, walk into the shop and ask for an ETA. And why is it so hard to be transparent about a fee upfront vs. waiting until a customer comes and pays? Sometimes the little things can go a long way. We will not be back. And I know that losing our business will not hurt your shop. But good customer service can go a long way!! read more

I had my 2009 Camry with 77,000 miles towed to Accelerated Auto because of a severe engine miss which rendered it not drivable. After a short time they called to let me know the engine was shot & they could do a used engine with 90K on it for $6,000 to &7,000. I opted to have the car towed to the Greeley Toyota dealer, where I bought it new thinking maybe Toyota might give me a deal on a new or used car. It turned out that the engine just needed new spark plugs & one ignition coil and now it runs great. Needless to say, I will not return to Accelerated Auto for any work after such an extreme misdiagnosis. I only hope it was an honest error. read more

A few years ago I bought a used terrain from Weld County Garage. Just weeks in, I learned the sunroof seal was not working. Took it back to WCG numerous times, and they said each time it worked fine. Finally, WCG saw it wasn't working properly after I had complained about 4 times and brought it back to the dealership. WCG wanted me to pay for the entire sunroof to be replaced for 900.00. I was upset, and frustrated. I called around and Greg at Accelerated offered to take a look. Apparently some drain needed cleaned. Greg charged me 54.00 and sent me on my happy way. I've taken my car back to him since and always felt like he treated me right, and offered a fair or great price. So happy w this place. Saved me hundreds of dollars and lots of headaches. I can't say enough good things about this place.The guys here are just fantastic and truly care about their customers. They are honest and up front. They quickly diagnosed the issues for me, and they didn't pressure or bullshit me like some car places do. There was an issue with one of the repairs that caused them to have to keep my car an additional night, and one of their mechanics drove me to pick up my groceries I was supposed to pick up and then drove me all the way home to Milliken. The next day they drove my car back home to me so I didn't have to load up a sick kiddo to come pick it up. Just really great people. These guys were amazing to say the least! Greg took my call last week and I explained that I was coming for a one day trip from CA to potentially purchase a 1966 Chevy Malibu SS. I asked if he could inspect it mechanically and he offered to have his body shop pro inspect the vehicle as well. There was zero wait time from my scheduled appointment time and these guys were great. Honest, candid and the price for both inspections was much less than anticipated. They charged me $492 for a part I could order for $312 dollars from the same place they purchased it. The only thing that would make sense for this price difference is if they had to pay 180 to get it shipped, but even this was more than the shipping price from mast auto parts stores. Although I had a few experiences with them that seemed honest (ie I thought I needed my brakes repaired because of the squeaking noise and they told me that I didn't when they could have easily charged me for it), dealing with the staff was very hit or miss. I was often talked down to as a female, and after being told some inaccurate information on the phone I called back and politely spoke to the manager who was very aggressive and rude. I have taken my business elsewhere, as customer service is just as important as what you can do to my car. read more

The bearing in my alternator seized up and snapped the water pump belt on my car, so I get a tow to the nearest garage, which turned out to be this place. So I leave the car there and go home. I get a call later that I'll need a new alternator, water pump belt, and power steering belt (because apparently when the other belt snapped, it snapped this one too) and that'll all cost a grand total of over $700. I tell them to let me think about it and call up my parents, who own a repair shop back East. They immediately became suspicious. They asked me if my power steering worked once the car started running poorly, which it did. That was the first red flag. They also said that that kind of work was a $400 job, at the very most. That was the second red flag. I call Accelerated Auto again and bring up the power steering belt to confirm that it snapped, which they said yes to ("It's completely off the car"). When I said that I still had power steering when I was driving it, they changed the story to "well, it's not snapped, but it's about to snap because it was hit by the other belt and it's badly damaged". This was extremely suspicious to me so I told them to not touch that belt. I believed them about the other belt because the car was, indeed, overheating (By the way, when I got the car back, I checked the power steering belt and it still looked perfect and has yet to cause any problems even today, a year and a half later). I also brought up the price and they were firm on it. I offered to buy my own alternator and bring it in, but they refused (when I asked how much they're charging for the alternator itself, it was double what Autozone near my house charged). So I call up my parents again to gather our thoughts together and they insisted on calling Accelerated (with me on the line). After grilling Accelerated and telling them that they're in the same business and know what less-than-reputable mechanics do, they agreed to lower the price to $530, adding in "come on, you know how the game goes, we all try to make a little extra" (on the contrary, my family's business is very successful because they do NOT pull these stunts and have very loyal repeat customers), and continuing to be extremely rude. I simply could not believe it... Rather than tow the car elsewhere, we said forget it, paid the $530, and went on our way. That's when the advertising started. To this day, I still receive card after card and envelope after envelope of junk mail from them, advertising, at obscene prices again by the way, and have even been called by them to tell me about their "specials". Worse yet, since this encounter, my telemarketer calls have skyrocketed, making me suspect they sell information to those agencies. I obviously cannot confirm this and it is not an accusation, merely a suspicion. This was the absolute worst auto shop I've ever been to and I would rather sell my car and buy another than have it repaired here again. Should you choose to go here and not take my word for it, please, at the very least, question everything they tell you, ask to see the parts they want to replace before they replace them, and take note that their replies to these reviews are just as honest as they are, so do not expect much. And for the love of god, do not give them your address, nor your personal number if you can avoid it in any way (which, of course, is difficult to do). read more
