I love Wetzel Pretzels but the PRICE GOUGING is getting out of control!!! I paid $17.96 for one Pretzel, one TINY cheese dip, and one Frozen Drink. The TINY cheese dip was $1.99, Pretzel $5.49, and $8.92 for a 16oz Frozen Drink. All honest... NOT WORTH IT!!! Price Gouging at its Finest!!! The cashier, a female employee had told me they were out of pretzels without even looking. A fresh batch had just came out, good thing I asked her to double check. Never going back to Wetzel Pretzel, there are plenty of other options as good. FYI... Booth is located in middle of Cerritos Mall, it was dirty!!! If you have time to lean, you have time to clean!! read more

Wetzel's Pretzels - Price Gouging at its Finest!!! - Pretzels Near Me - Cerritos, California

It's just simple mall food, but I had burnt pretzels! :( I got Cheesy Dog Bites and Cheddar Cheese Pretzel Dip. The Cheesy Dog Bites all looked like some type of burnt. I guess they were all cooked a bit too long. All of my Cheesy Dog Bites looked like this so I guess all of the other ones they were selling were the same. The Cheddar Cheese Pretzel Dip however, was delicious. The employees were very kind and not understaffed fortunately!! There's nowhere to really eat since most tables and seats were either in front of Macy's, Dick's Sporting Goods, Express, and the food court. It's just simple mall food you can eat on-the-go or find somewhere to sit and eat. read more

National Pretzel Day Free original pretzel for customers For the lifetime I've been frequenting Los Cerritos Center, I never realized there are 2 Wetzel's Pretzels kiosks in the mall. The small kiosk is located in front of Forever 21, while the larger one is located in-between Kay & Daniel's Jewelers. Arriving at the small kiosk, I was notified to visit the larger kiosk, as that's where pretzels are actually baked. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=LYcBlNEnxbXjbFy0Di7hYw&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=A3k0qHwwM3V4q4lalYB0Jw&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA I picked the right time to redeem a free pretzel, as the line wasn't bad. I watched the employees dutifully pump out pretzel after pretzel, to keep up with the demand. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select_video=QLaYhh0TbJXKNNUx_i5KPA&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select_video=x8urewCOTB_X-GHrQyQ3Zg&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA Original pretzel- https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=DEKOkY1MesW_0g43fBORkw&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA Pretzels aren't usually my thing, but I did enjoy my pretzel from Wetzel's. Warm & soft, with a dusting of salt, it provided a nice snack to celebrate National Pretzel Day. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=bhC02tOo4q36G_vIWyvS6Q&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA Service was great! All hands were on deck, and I only had to wait 3 minutes for a fresh out of the oven pretzel. As fresh as it gets! Wetzel's Pretzels more than met the challenge from the demand of National Pretzel Day. I quickly had in my possession a piping hot, buttery pretzel. Add in the entertainment of watching the assembly line of pretzel making, from start to finish, and I walked out a happy customer. read more

1/4/23 By far, the worst Wetzel dog & service! Was craving a Wetzel's 'dog & had hubby buy me one. He said the guy at the counter was so bad at service delivery that he wanted to reach over the counter & slap his mother (not kidding, his words, not mine). He was slow & sluggish, like he needed a defibrillator to restart his heart. I requested for Gould's mustard, got the regular kind (ugh!), bit into it & the bread was hard (like it was sitting there from the day or two before) Tried to chew through it & kept chewing. Gave up & handed it back to my husband (he'll eat anything except bittermelon). Then he said, wow, that's a lot of chewing! That's that! read more

Wetzel's Pretzels - 1/4/23 Expected it to be good - Pretzels Near Me - Cerritos, California

It's mall food. What do you expect? 5 stars? lol But it's not exactly the worst, so if you're craving a soft pretzel, Wetzel's Pretzels wouldn't be a bad choice, but compared to those giant pretzels I've seen in my Yelp activity feed, Wetzel's is nothing lol. This particular Wetzel's Pretzels is located inside Los Cerritos Mall. Actually, there are two Wetzel's Pretzels, but one of them on the western side of the mall is usually staffed by one person. I believe when I tried to redeem my complimentary birthday pretzel at that pretzel stand, I was told to go to this other Wetzel's Pretzels, which is larger and on the opposite end of the mall. If I recall correctly, this Wetzel's Pretzels makes all the pretzels and sends some of the excess pretzel goods to that other Wetzel's Pretzels. When I went to this Wetzel's Pretzels to redeem my birthday pretzel, I was erroneously told that I could only get the Original Pretzel when I should have been allowed to choose either the flavored or the cheese pretzel. This also applies to the Welcome Pretzel when you register for Wetzel's rewards program. Unfortunately, it seems the staff in charge of these pretzel stands inside the mall are misinformed and misinform customers with this misinformation, so if at any Wetzel's Pretzels, you are told that the Welcome and Birthday pretzels can only work for the Original Pretzel, walk away because that is not true. I went with the Original Pretzel anyways to see how it compared to the Original Pretzel from the Lakewood location. For some reason, I thought it was much greasier and saltier! On my last visit, I had a reward for "Any Free Pretzel Item", which should be good for any pretzel item like a regular pretzel, pretzel bites, Wetzel Dogs, and even Dog Bites. At first, when I heard the phrase dog bites, I almost thought it meant dog food lol. But no, when I asked Sebastian (sp?) at the register, he explained they were simply pigs in a blanket. I was also interested in the Pizza Bits, but they looked like a pepperoni pretzel that was cut up into pieces. There was also an option for cheesy dog bites, so I went with that. When I asked Sebastian what the dog bites were, he went over to an oven, opened a drawer, and retrieved a cup to show me. When I placed my order, he went over to the heated display case, retrieved a cup, placed it in a takeout bag alongside some napkins, and handed me the bag. I had just left Panera Bread on the other side of South Street disappointed (read my review for that one if you want to know why) and wanting a second dinner. I was hoping the cheesy dog bites would be better, but if they were, it wasn't by much. While there was cheese in the bites, it didn't really taste like cheese; it was akin to eating plain dough. Some bites were on the verge of burnt, but they were all edible nonetheless. However, two of the cheesy dog bites got stuck together, and I had to be careful to make sure one of them wouldn't fall out and onto the ground. The cheesy dog bites did satiate my appetite, and I'm glad I got to try them for once, but I definitely would not recommend spending $8+ for about that many cheesy dog bites in a cup. I would only recommend the pretzel bites if you get a reward for "Any Free Pretzel Item." I haven't tried any of their dips, but I may have to resort to paying the extra $1.50 or so if I want some enhanced flavor in my soft pretzels. TL;DR: If you find yourself at the east side of Los Cerritos Mall and don't want to walk all the way to the food court on the opposite end of the mall, there's this Wetzel's Pretzels that will cure your hunger pangs. However, it almost certainly won't satisfy your hunger. As a matter of fact, you might be better off waiting in a potentially long line at Chipotle just outside the south entrance of the mall. read more

Went to grab the new mozzarella bites, and I honestly thought "cheese and bread is a heavenly combination", well its not when the dough is underdone. When I pulled them apart it was wet, soggy and the cheese had no flavor. I hadn't tried Wetzels in a long time but looks like quality has gone down hill read more

Great staff and amazing service!! Would highly reccomend this location if you're looking for a snack. Terrific ambiance as well!!

The WORST Pretzel that I have ever ate! I have been craving an almond pretzel, so that is what I ordered, expecting it to satisfy my cravings. Instead, I was extremely disappointed when I got to my car and took a bite of it, it was very stale and dry. Almost as if it had been from yesterday and just reserved today. The pretzel wasn't soft which leads me think it wasn't freshly made today. I will never buy from this locations again!! I can't give ZERO stars which is why I gave it one. read more

People are nice , service good , food on the other hand has surpassed its hold time, my cheese is cold and it's hard every time I bite the pizza bitz, they should just make sure they're not giving out food that's been there for hours , it doesn't taste good. The pretzels were too soft, as if they weren't fully cooked. We asked if it could be toasted a little longer but the cashier said no since there were other items cooking. In general I prefer Wetzel's Pretzels over, say, Auntie Anne's, but this set up in the middle of the mall has major room for improvement. The employees are nice, but... Pretzels and bites aren't meant to be stale and hard! Where's the fresh soft doughy goodness? Hot dog bites are $5.99. Original pretzels are $3.69. Pizza bitz are $5.69. Cheese dips $1.09. Make sure they're fresh. Otherwise it might be wasted money on a simple snack for the family. '18 Challenge #49 read more

Seeing a lot of negativity on here regarding this Wetzel location and I would like to take a moment to actually say something positive about this one. My experiences here (and I've patronized this one multiple times) have been nothing but pleasant. This location can get busy, and will often have a line, but the employees are always cordial and attentive when you are at the register. The pretzels have always been great and keep me coming back for more. No where else compares when it comes to pretzels! read more

I don't really go out of my way to give terrible reviews however I feel as if this issue needs attention. On October 9th I was charged $18.64 via Apple Pay by an employee for a single pretzel that was supposed to be no more than $7, because the mother of 2 in front of me left without paying and he did not catch that. When I told the employee about this charge he asked me to see what was bought. I had no details of this of this purchase except solely the funds that were taken out of my account, due to the fact that I DID NOT purchase anything from Wetzsel's that was worth anything more than $7. He told his manager (Rocky) of this instance and did his best to understand what was going on, while the employee who charged me hid cowardly behind the other side of the counter. After explaining to him in both Spanish and English, I was still accused of buying something that was worth more than a single pretzel. In return instead of compromising and meeting me half way like a good customer service representative would, he gave me a lot of attitude made up a bunch of random charges to get close to $18.64 that was charged to me and said "ok go!" To receive a refund via Apple Pay. He only gave me back $17.97 and charged me $.67 for a pretzel which was the most kind thing out of this whole experience. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was closing time and they were a bit swamped so a lot was going on, but Overall I am not satisfied with this staff nor the lack of respect that was given to me. I'm also not sure when I will be reimbursed for the $17.97 that was given to me but I'm not counting on it read more

The extra star is for the mango lemonade boba because it's slightly better than the stale one I got at Del Amo mall, the first two because I'm hungry...BUT why do my bites taste like they've been reheated too many times?! for the price I would have loved them to be fresh but they are so hard :( even touching them I knew I'd be chewing a while. read more

With the exception of Gabbi, she always seems happy to take your order, it seems like every one else is NOT HAPPY to assist you. I don't mind at all having to request condiments and napkins. I love Wetzel's Pretzel. I've never had an issue with employee attitude or food. Today I visited the WP in Cerritos mall, the one at the front entrance of Forever 21, and they only had pretzels, through no fault of my own. I wanted the bites, but was willing to get the pretzel if I could get it in a combo. The gal said no, that wasn't an option. If that's all there is to sell, management should make the decision to allow it be turned into a combo. I took my business elsewhere instead of the other WP I walked by in the mall. read more

Y'all need to work on your attitude here. I get it we're in a pandemic, I work in food too bruh. I ordered wetzel bits and jalapeño cheese and the cashier goes, "we don't have that anymore." Yet I'm literally staring at it in the clear case. I go to find a place to sit and I open the bag to find she gave me mini hot dogs instead. It's fine... we're in a pandemic I GET IT. It's hard to hear... I GET IT. So I go to the front of the line and say, "Sorry I actually got the bites not the the dogs." She straight up tells me "No you ordered the dogs." I say, "No I didn't." And she straight up REPEATS, "You ordered the dogs." adggyjkktdry.... I DONT EAT MEAT HOW YOU GONNA TELL ME I ORDERED MINI HOT DOGS. What the hell kind of customer service is that. It's really not that hard to just give me the bites without an attitude. I don't even want the difference in money. I'm really glad that this location had Grateful Garlic, since many locations do not. However, if this was due to a mistake, or if they genuinely did the recipe incorrectly, I had the saltiest pretzel in my life yesterday. As usual, when I order a Grateful Garlic Pretzel, they would have to specially make it. 20 minutes later, and I was excited for it. After finding a place to sit, I took a bite and it was really salty. After awhile, I took a look at it closely, and I noticed that it was doused in salt. Apparently they doused the cheese pretzel in pure salt instead of garlic and/or parmesan cheese. It was way too salty, so I tossed it in a trash bin and went hunting for a drink as quick as possible. I generally love Wetzel's Pretzels, and I understand the 7 staff members at the location were extremely busy on a Sunday afternoon. However, the results left much to be desired. read more

I love Wetzel's Pretzels, the only pretzel I recommend to anyone. I went a few days ago and waited a while in line, which was fine. I tried redeeming a free item I had but it didn't work. I did not mind this as I really wanted a pretzel from there. Well, I brought out my cash and the lady looked annoyed and told me "card only". I didnt bring my card this day because I didnt think I'd need it, but the lady attending me acted the worst. When I told her "I'm sorry I only have cash, I'll just leave" she rolled her eyes at me and begrudgingly put the pretzel back.
