Went there a few weeks ago because I was recommended that it was the best pet shop in Moreno Valley, especially for buying fish. I went at 1 PM on a Wednesday. The lights were off and door was locked, despite being listed as being open. I tried again and the same thing happened. I'm sure it's great but I can't keep hoping that they are actually open. read more

Sent my wife to go get crickets over there since she was already out that way. I call to see if he is open and sell crickets he stated yes 30 crickets for $1. I'm like sweet I'm sending the wife. Tell wife I need 2 bags of $5 crickets. Well that should be over 150 crickets each bag. Well let's just say there were maybe 70 crickets per bag. I know this seems petty. But there crickets they only live 5 weeks. Don't be stingy with things that are going to die in a week anyways. My wife also says the place is dirty and smells. So don't go here.. read more

If you love pets, then please stay out of this store. The store is filthy and crammed and reeks of urine and cigarette smoke. ALL of their birds look sick and the main fish tank when you walk in was SO filthy you couldn't see any fish inside. All of their toys and pet supplies have a thick layer of dust and everything just looked so unsanitary. I feel terrible for the poor birds stuck in that store. read more

I love coming into this little "mom and pop" store! The owners are very nice people and very knowledgeable! They know the genus and species names of their animals which is very impressive! As opposed to going to one of the larger chain stores and talking to a teenager in the fish department when they usually work in the bird department. Wet Pets has a little bit of everything! Birds, reptiles, fish, amphibians and much more! I'm a fish guy and the fun part for me is talking shop with the owner! He knows his stuff and has been in the business for a very long time! The other thing I like is, here in Moreno Valley, we tend to have very hard water and it can be hard on new fish that you are adding to your tank. If he hasn't grown his fish in Mo Val water, he takes the extra steps to acclimate them so when you get home with your new beauties, they take off swimming with no problems! This is a great place! The store is dingy, dark, and smells like cigarette smoke as soon as you walk in. The animals are all in terrible condition. The chameleon looked near death with horrible tank conditions. The animals were surrounded by their own feces. Their large Burmese python was soaking itself, which already is a really bad sign that something is desperately wrong with it. The fish tanks look like they haven't been properly cleaned in ages. There's dust over all their products. I would never support this type of establishment read more

These two are the best. Not only do you get really good buys but they have done this for a long time. It belongs to a husband and wife team that can answer questions on fish,birds, turtles, snakes etc. Not only are they patient with my really stupid questions about the pests to begin with but have showed me how to set up for fish, feed them, but about turtles. They have tanks and supplies for both, bird cages, and stuff I haven't even thought to ask questions about yet. They are also very nice. This is so much better than a large chain that hires high school kids, here today gone tomorrow. I would give them 10 stars if there was 10 stars. They are that good. read more

Found this place on accident really, and glad I did. The owners are two of the nicest, friendliest and knowledgeable you will ever find. I bought an Oscar fish and a Blue Eyed Cichlid. The owners were quick to guarantee healthy fish and they were right. Both fish acclimated quickly to my 80 gallon tank and get along great with their tank mates. Love this place, both owners are very friendly. If they don't have it and it's legal to sale they'll try to find it for you. My husband surprised new with a snake a few years ago, I knew nothing about snakes besides respect them. Mike have me so much info about my snake, how to house it, how to feed it a choices of what to feed it. He also have vet info that wld help keep it healthy.
