That, in itself, is a good reason to visit them; to see the mural. The Arts Council's Public Art Dept. organized the dedication event. Well, today, I needed a smog on my car so I decided that since RCHT supports the arts, I will continue to support them and the Cambodia Town businesses. It only took about 20 minutes. Very reasonably priced. And they have the cutest customer relations team to keep you company while you wait (friendliest doggies with tennis balls).

My partner, Kevin, discovered this gem and we have never wanted to go anywhere else. He takes his older Toyota Camry in for regular service and when there is ever anything unusual, they always figure it out and fix it with the quickness and for a fraction of the price others charge. I also have been so happy with my regular service there. Unfortunately, I had to go to the Acura dealership for a recall problem and while there, they told me my windshield wiper fluid container was cracked. The dealership was ready to charge me $600 to handle the problem. I went to Coast and Royal figured out that it wasn't even the container, it was the line leading to the wipers. He is an excellent problem solver and made it happen for almost nothing. Sidenote: Royal loves the wings from the place across the street. We are always so thrilled with his work that it is a pleasure to pick up some wings! We feel like we are going to see friends whenever we go to Coast!

My neighbor had…read morerecommended this place after having a good experience here with a flat tire just a week earlier, so I expected to receive the same courtesy. The owner asked what service I needed, and I politely asked if he could please put some air in my front right tire. He simply told me that they don't do that and that I should go somewhere else. I was very disappointed by the way I was treated, especially since I was not asking for a complicated repair--I was just asking for help putting air in a flat tire so I could safely get back on the road. As I was leaving, a kind gentleman riding a scooter noticed my flat tire and stopped to warn me. I explained what had happened. He was surprised that I had been refused and asked me to wait. He then spoke with another employee at the shop, and that employee immediately said he would help and put air in my tire. I am extremely grateful to that gentleman for stopping and helping me when I needed it, and I also appreciate the employee who was willing to assist me. That employee showed the kindness and professionalism I had hoped to receive when I first walked in. My experience with the owner, however, was very disappointing. Customer service is not only about major repairs--it is also about showing kindness and helping someone who is clearly in need. I hope the owner understands how much a small act of kindness can mean to someone who is stranded with a flat tire. Thank you to the gentleman on the scooter and the employee who ultimately helped me. You both made a difficult situation much better.
