Until we moved to a new place in Tumwater, I've always had my own washer and dryer. Not anymore... Westside to the rescue. I didn't know what to expect, how to work any of the machines, how to digitally pay... but the attendant is endlessly patient and helpful. Now that I've got the basics, I had time to enjoy the large, efficient machines. Both washer and dryer take about 25 minutes to run. I've got my routine down and even hit up McDonalds during the wash, then return to start the dryer and sit down with my book and coffee. Gina was the attendant at the time and I think I must have bugged her to death with questions. She was so very helpful and absolutely pleasant every time I bothered her. I had to do a ton of laundry including blankets and sheets. My neighbor recommended this place. The machines were very clean and easy to use and the woman working there was really friendly and helpful. I used two of the largest washers and one of the next to largest. They held A LOT of clothes and were finished fairly quickly. I used the largest dryer and two smaller ones. My clothes were dry in 35 minutes. Everything worked out well. I recommend this even though it can get crowded, but staff is always there so no worries about theft and safety. I spent around $40, but it was worth it. At home, this would have taken me five hours; I was finished in two! read more

Not a bad laundry. Busy on a Sunday of course. We are waiting for our washer and dryer to arrive so found what was hopefully the best place close by. Taking off two stars because while Olympian's seem pretty mask compliant, too many people in here decided they didn't need to follow the protocols. Very friendly and helpful staff on duty. Used on the road for a camping trip as it was close to our route. Different size washers and dryers with different costs made it possible to get things done pretty quickly. Appropriate supply of detergent, change machine. This place sucks. They will steal your money if they feel like it as their change machine doesn't work. The 40yo man who was working this morning acted like he was doing me a favor after putting in a $10 and not getting any change. The light that said it was not working was not on so it should have been fine. The bill was a bit wrinkly but i put it face up on the machine after smoothing it out. He stated that not only does it have to be face up but a certain orientation for the face up side as well. Also expressed in a very rude way how it was my fault that his coin machine doesn't work and how he was being nice in giving me my money back. No. I've never had any issues at any other laundromats as i travel in my van and go ever week or two. read more

Kid working during the day not only lacks customer service skills, he was behavior borders aggressive. aggressive. I was using the app and couldn't figure something out, he said "it's on the app" where on the app I asked? "I don't know... figure it out." And walked away. A nice older gentleman asked how much laundry soap you add for the big machine and he said "I don't give that information, so you can turn around and sue me." I put the stepping stool back on top of a machine and he went and grabbed it and slammed it down on top of a different machine.. glaring at me. He's been rude to everyone in here. Had I not already loaded up my laundry in to the machines I would leave. Besides this creepy employee, I have been here a few times and the female staff that works here is helpful and kind. This laundromat was clean and organized, they had extra soap laying around that you could use in case you forgot yours. The dryers are $.25 for 6 minutes and they are big enough to throw in a huge load. I haven't been to a laundromat in a long time but since my dryer is waiting to be repaired we had to go here. I would definitely come back and it's a huge bonus that I was able to get my tabs renewed and get an appetizer next-door all while I was waiting for my clothes to be dried. read more

Expensive washers, but they clean very well. The attendant was a nice and friendly lady who will exchange smiles with you. :) Quiet, despite moderate traffic of people, and gets the job done. Only selections from the vending machine that I can remember are ALL, GAIN, bleach, downey, and bounty sheets ($1 ea). If you want something else, bring it yourself. read more

Very clean for a laundromat the attendant was always cleaning and always greeted everyone as they entered . There was enough washers and dryers definitely. There wasn't enough seating and the amount to wash a load was crazy expensive 4$ for a small load and 8$for a large . I'm not sure if it's been a long time since I've been to a laundromat may or not but I feel like this price is kinda outrageous. But when needed id still return . Even though I work arrived well before the last wash time the guy wouldn't let me do more than one load and then while trying to dry my laundry can you prior to closing turned off the lights so I literally had to take my clothes out of the dryer with a flashlight it was ridiculous apparently he had a hot date and just was being a complete jerk I will never use that business again read more

We came in here the other day and I was so impressed with the new and efficient laundry machines, as well as the friendly and helpful attendant - the kind of person you want to have in customer service. I was ready to give it 5 stars, hands down. Then today, we went back in and the apparent owner was in there. He was giving grief to the helpful guy we had seen the other day. And he (owner) wasn't wearing a mask. He then made rounds around the laundromat, trying to talk to customers - all the time with no mask. All of the customers had masks on, as is the law, but not him. When questioned about why he wasn't wearing a mask, he replied that he had "a medical condition". If he truly has a medical condition that precludes him from wearing a mask then he should stay out of the laundromat for the safety of his customers. read more

First time visiting and realize after reading others reviews that I got the unhelpful attendant. When I came in my hands were full and no one was behind the counter to greet me, only people standing around watching tv and folding laundry. I asked a lady near me if she had been there before because I wanted to make sure I understood the machine correctly. She said no but the attendant was the one watching the tv, in front of the door --where I was never greeted. As I was headed to approach her she walked out the door to light up her cigarette. She then stood about three feet from the door so every time it opened the place smelled like smoke. State law requires 25 feet. --this happened twice while there. The only reason I am giving three stars is because it is clean and there were lots of machines even on a busy Saturday. Prices: small washers $2.75 mediums are 5.50 which can be the better deal if you have a large load of like colors. Dryers are 25 cents for six minutes. My washes averaged 24 minutes. And my dryer with the largest load on high was 36 minutes, it had jeans a sweatshirts. read more

The facility features three mega-large washers, two mega-mega-large dryers, an incredibly clean restroom, and is refreshingly brightly lit during the day. Friendly owners, local business, good machines. The dryers seem to take a while, but then again, I don't put similar materials together - I stuff it all in there at once. I think the owners are originally from Indiana. There are some hick jokes posted to look at while you're waiting. The TV is always on. My main complaint is the lack of concern the management seems to have for people waiting in peace. I was in there once - there is only one table to sit at and wait - and one person sitting there had his little notebook laptop, and starting blaring annoying music pretty loudly. The management was standing right there nearby and didn't say anything. I felt awkward asking him to stop it since it was a private establishment and they make the rules. Of course this only happened once. Once a woman came in who announced she hadn't been to a laundromat since the 1970s. She appeared to me in her 60s, maybe. She was very friendly and seemed to be in some pain physically, moving about a lot. The woman who works there offered to help her load clothes, carry clothes, free or charge. I like a business that respects their customers in that way. Generally I'm really satisfied with my experience there! read more

Washer on the fritz. Only washeteria I could find. The place was very clean, the attendant was extremely helpful and pleasant. Well-lit, well-organized, user-friendly business. There were lots of those little pushy carts to transfer overwhelming amount of wet, camp-firey-smelling clothes, and plenty of folding-height tables to finish up at. I don't live in Olympia but needed to help get a king size bedspread cleaned while I was there. Found this laundy and was pleasantly surprised. Very neat and clean and the attendant was helpful. He gave me the rundown on my best options. Large machines worked great, bedspread looks like new. While my review is positive, I will approach my review a little differently than others. To be honest, I am not the prototypical person who would frequent a laundromat. I've got my own high end machines at home. I know that sounds snooty, but I'm being honest here and I want to appeal to those who might read this review with a similar mindset and would only consider going to a laundromat as a last resort. The first time I came to this business was January 2012. Some might remember this as the time of the big snow/ice storm that knocked power out for a long time. No power, no generator, and no water (wells run on electricity). Desperate to get laundry done, we went here. The experience was unexpectedly positive. Clean facilities, good machines. A place that even snooty people (yes... I'm taking a jab at myself) can say, "hey... that wasn't bad at all." Well, fast forward to January 2017. Cold weather took down our water main. While I have many friends offering their washing machines, we don't want to inconvenience folks too greatly, so we went back to this business to do laundry. My experience was the same... very good. Clean facilities, attentive staff (always walking around, checking the machines, cleaning up the place), state of the art European washing machines. I like the fact that there are no video games... there is no incentive for anyone to linger there, except to wait for the cycle to end. I don't go here unless I really must... but I take comfort knowing it is there when I need it. Very pleased. read more

I didn't think it could be done but the attendants at this Laundromat not only made doing my laundry there a comfortable experience but an enjoyable one. Yesterday was the first time i had ever used a Laundromat and I had about 5 garbage bags full of clothes. As soon as I came in through the door the male attendant was rushing to help me lug all of it through the door. He told me how everything worked and (as I'm sure he does with most people) told me little tips to save money on the machines that yes ACTUALLY saved me money. Even though the objective was just getting the laundry done, the attendants conversed with the patrons made jokes and generally tried to make what is normally a dreaded experience a pleasant one. read more

The best laundromat ever!! I've never used one before and due to a house remodel and lack of home laundry facilities was forced to take a TON of clothes and blankets in to wash. I had my two daughters with me and I'm sure I appeared a bit overwhelmed when I walked in. The attendant was so nice and helpful, giving me advice on which machines to use and how to work them. She was so kind to my girls while we were there! We got everything done and hauled out and left, then later that night realized the girls left our iPad there! I stressed all night and the next morning until they opened and I called. Much to my relief she had found it and set our iPad aside with a note on it describing us!!! Such honesty, I was so thrilled! I thought no good deed should go unnoticed so brought her a nice little plant as a thank you. Truly a gem of a person and establishment!! read more

I love this place, I would give 5 stars but the attendant on now has been outside on her phone for the past half an hour. So you get docked for that, one of the reasons I come here is to ensure that the facilities are being watched. Clean, bright, and friendly. The attendant greeted me when I came in and based on the size of my laundry bag they let me know which size washer to use and estimated how long it would take in the dryer. It's on the bus line which is a huge plus. All in all a pleasant experience. $3 for a small washer and 25 cents/6 minutes on the dryer. read more

(I was graciously greeted before I even got in the door by a pretty woman, turns out she didn't even work there). Very cool, has a pinball machine, snack machine, Television, you just have to watch Law & Order...period!! but get there early, last wash is at 19:30!! I missed it by 9 minutes and the lady that did in fact work there said "too late, last wash at 7:30 sir", not in a rude way. I'd go back, mostly to run into that cool girl again, and I'll be on time the next visit. read more
