I have had numerous amounts of jobs done by Armando and his team. Without a doubt, the best landscaping company I have ever used. Extremely good with communication, got back to me immediately every time whether the job was small or big. The staff at their office always took care of whatever I needed. Armando does a great job of being professional, whilst also being friendly and taking all my suggestions and wants for my yard into consideration. The staff is wonderful and extremely helpful. While on the search for a perfect tree at many a nursery, Westside Landscaping had some great choices. I absolutely loved the nursery/garden area, I could have stayed there all day relaxing and enjoying the beautiful plant selections but... Since I didn't have a margarita in hand, sadly I had to leave (lol). All plants and trees looked like they received much love and water. I plan on returning soon. read more

To start at the top, the owner Armando is one of the rudest people I have ever had to deal with. He treats is employees like garbage. When he's around he makes them skip their breaks, yells at them and treats them poorly. He doesn't keep in mind the heat they are working in or how fast they are working. Beautiful work. Not reliable. Didn't come when they said they would. Took weeks longer then they said to finish the job. We now have an issue with them not responding to several requests for them to come reset our lighting timer. This timer is a chip so we cannot adjust it ourselves. I would not recommend them unless you want to go thru heck trying to get work done and fix issues that they said they would take care of. read more

Unprofessional company , for the first time i made an appointment with them to come and gave a quote for my back yard but after an hour waiting they did not show up because they forgot about me and call them again and made another appointment for the next day and happened again . Absolutely the worst landscaping experience one could possibly endure. My backyard design was professionally drawn up and given to Westside with specific instructions. What I got in return was abysmal. The "professional arborists" as they call themselves, planted trees that could never tolerate the intense heat the central valley offers. Subsequently nearly every plant died after one summer, despite their "expert water system" that I had to replace along with the dead trees and plants. A water feature was installed with pond that resembled nothing like the plan design. The pump never did work and the pond leaked. I have since had to replace both. When I explained the pump was not up to code, Westside installed another right in the dirt! A concrete pad was not even considered. Of course, water entered into the motor and I had to replace it and build a pad for it...something they should have done in the beginning. Without benefit of electricians license, they "saved me money" by running wire from an outlet in my house! Of course, that all needed to be redone properly and to code, using its own circuit. An electrical box was installed for the light fixtures but put right in the forefront of the entire landscape. So unsightly. I still have not been able to change that yet. When bark was put down, it went directly onto dirt. Of course a jungle of weeds grew through it all. When asked why plastic or some other protective barrier wasnt utilized, I was told; "We don't do that". What a joke. I later learned from my neighbor, that most of the work was done unsupervised! He told me that Armando was rarely at the job site and the workers appeared to be scratching their heads as to how to proceed or what to do next. I had to laugh when I read on Westside's web site that they employed "professional construction workers". Nothing but lawn mower people and common laborers. A motley crew lacking direction. Armando was the "expert" hired to do the job. He made my wife feel very uncomfortable as she complained to me that he was getting overly friendly with her. If he paid as much attention to his crew that he gave to my wife, perhaps the job would have turned out better. Armando happily cashed my check, made promise after promise and delivered nothing in return. He sent his younger brother to "fix" all the problems. This boy was not only rude but incompetent as well. When I got home from work, I saw that he had put the pond valves, not next to pump where they would naturally be, but in the middle of a 20 foot span between the pond and the pump!! Are you kidding me?! It looked horrible and was not at all functional. Rediculous. This project cost me thousands of dollars and I've had to re-due virtually the entire thing. If you are thinking of using Weside Landscaping, I highly recommend you re-read my post. This is the most unethical and unprofessional company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. read more

Superb work, superb customer service, caring, considerate to needs of the home owner with evening and weekend visits. Follow up is superb. The garden was a flat weed laden area, now it is a lush forest scape with firepit, pergola, dry river bed stream, amazing lighting, 3 seating areas. We have had several different landscape/yard maintenance companies in the past and have never been happier since we switched to Westside. Roland came out, worked with my husband on exactly what we wanted him and his team to do and they have actually done it and more. Other companies we have used started off interested in what you want, say they will do it and you end up paying for a blow n go. The guys from Westside appear to take a little pride in what they do. They had somewhat simple jobs to do for me, prep and sod my front yard & replace a fence. The sod died after a while, do to no prep work was done they simple scraped the dirt and laid down the sod on bare hard dirt , I was later informed by my neighbor, I watered the S... out of it like I was told to do, and it died. I was told that I hadn't watered it enough. Next was the fence, I had an example to show so there was to be no confusion, Hu! This was a waist of time. The fence was of cheep materiel and not built at all like I had requested. It had been paid for by my insurance company so I simply let it go. Never Again!!! read more

Tree removal services were rendered after an initial phone conversation to discuss an estimate without a written estimate or my permission. Employee told me that he would be out the week after our initial phone conversation to give me a written estimate and discuss details. He never came out or called. 3 weeks later I return home from out of town and my trees were removed while I was not home and a bill was sent that day. Poor ethics and business practices. I would have given it a -10 but cant. Armando is the most unprofessional person I have seen in a long time! He came out and did a bid on putting outdoor tile and landscaping , which was a little high , but we figured it would be worth it because of what he said he could do. We have spent thousands of dollars to have the tile put in. They didn't seal the the tile,water pools every where. they were supposed to put in a water system, they didn't,the landscaping looked like a desert,(all I needed was the sand for the front yard and a lizard.He was given a specific instructions on how the landscaping was to be done. I have called repeatedly Finally got ahold of him and he said he would be here the next day with a crew to follow. NEVER showed up,no phone call, nothing,!!!!!!!!! This has been going on since March. Finally called a contractor and thousand of more dollars to fix the crappy #$%^ he did and didn't do. He OWNS the company??????Hahahahaha. The good reviews must be from friends and family. read more
