After consulting with multiple pool builders we decided to go with Westmod. It was the right choice because these guys have integrity and are experts at what they do. It was a fairly straightforward backyard pool design but it was a first for us so we had a lot of learning to do. The 3D renderings of the pool and surroundings that Ryan put together really helped us envision the final product and iron out some of the details. Once the work started, our very friendly and knowledgeable project manager Hendra walked us through the multiple steps and inspections and made sure things went as smoothly as possible. When we did run into some problems with the quality and consistency of the concrete deck (due to excessive heat on the day of the pour) they went way out of their way by agreeing to demo and re-pour the concrete, at no extra expense to us, aside from a delay in the schedule. I have a very special case, originally I reached out to Westmod for a pool and ADU. I have to start off by talking about how amazing they are with communication. They are extremely knowledgeable and efficient with timing. Due to the type of design we had approved by the city, they were very honest and told me they can't take my project due to the architecture of the pool sitting on a retaining wall of the ADU (and they don't do ADU's.) However we ended up going with their competitive company Craftscape (they changed their name SLEEK DESIGN BUILD just a couple days ago so no one sees the amount of lawsuits they have when searched on google) to which was the BIGGEST MISTAKE of our life. So if you are considering them over Westmod, PLEASE DON'T DO IT!!!! (come to find out Craftscape/Sleek Design has screwed over 46 home owners) Instead of being honest the way Westmod was, they took our job and were unable to get the work done. Later the owner of Craftscape admitted he lied just to get our job. Craftscape/Sleek Design took 610K of our money and left us with a backyard that didn't have anything done except caissons and the retaining wall that was needed. Which was done incorrectly, since they couldn't fix it, they disappeared on us. This is where Westmod came in, they said they were now able to do our pool and landscaping. Despite the situation. They were so efficient, compassionate, and empathetic to the situation we were left in. They responded to my message right away, came out to my house to see the site, and continuously kept me updated with everything that was happening. They have great idea's and designs, they are amazing with taking your ideas and bringing them to life. The Westmod team (Hendra, Ryan, Reina, Charles) exceeded our expectations - delivered ahead of schedule, were incredibly professional and warm, always showed up with a can-do attitude, and was willing to go the extra mile. These are phrases not often used to describe the pool building experience. We had a group text thread going for continuous 24/7 comms through the project, and they were highly responsive. Samples were delivered to our home, the subcontractors couldn't have been more professional or kind, and the Westmod team felt a sense of pride and ownership in what they were building for us - at no point did we feel we were just another hole being dug. We assumed this would take 3 months, but were done in a record 6 weeks, and the crews rotated in and out like a fine-tuned machine. The idea of taking out our old pool and putting a new one seemed chaotic and a huge challenge and so we put it off for a long time until one day I found westmod on my Instagram. I made an apt and the following week Ryan from westmod came by and we discussed our vision. He was very professional , creative, honest and super personable. The entire demo of old pool and construction of our new gorgeous zero edge pool seemed like it was done in a blink of an eye. Our project manager Will was wonderful.
