Already time for another update wow! We've been with the awesome team at Grow Control 3 years now and I just can't say enough good things about them! Krystal, Jesus, and all their staff really provide professional, quality service and care for our yard and irrigation needs. We initially got started with them for a total clear out and clean up of our existing landscape and ended up sticking with them for weekly maintenance services and little projects here and there and have never looked back! Anytime there are issues, they are on it!! Today was another example - I asked Steve if he would just check up on my back sprinklers bc I noticed they didn't run Monday and when he did, he found a HUGE leak in one of our main irrigation pipes! Our house is kind of old and starting to need a lot of repairs so I wasn't completely surprised but the leak was pretty big. We had to turn off all the water to the house and wait for them to get one of their irrigation and plumbing experts over. Richard showed up almost immediately and had us all cleaned up and back in business in no time!! I had my whole sprinkler system re-wired and redone three years ago, the system only worked for a few months, then some small water heads broke and some areas were not working right. When I asked them to come back and check, they would say it's out of the warranty period and they will charge $95 to check it out. I ended up just asking my gardener to fix here and there. It was totally not worth the money I spent. Recently the system covers whole front yard didn't work, I had another landscaper checked on the system, they found that Grow Control only did half of the job, they only replaced new wires when the wires are obvious to see and used my old wires under the bricks and trees... after all I got cheated on the whole project. Called one week ago to request a quote for a large residential landscaping project. After giving my information, I was told I would receive a call back from a "planning coordinator" (not sure about the title). I never received a call back. Our sprinkler system was over 30 years old and had many leaks. We decided to have a new system installed and contacted Grow Control Landscape for an estimate. Jesus spent over an hour with us, explaining options and educating us at the same time. We felt very comfortable with him and he was extremely knowledgeable and flexible. We went back and forth several times as we couldn't make up our mind on whether we wanted our hanging plants and potted plants on our BBQ as part of the system. We also explained how we had high water pressure, being on a hill, and he added a pressure regulator to the system to reduce the risk of "blowouts". At the end of the day, we did it all and it will surely save us a lot of time and water as we have a lot of plants. We live on a slope and the City does a poor job of keeping our brush clear, and we also have gopher problems. Jesus had his team of Jesse and Nash, clear our brush and dug a trench about 12' to 18" deep along our property line. They placed a hard plastic "root barrier" all along the trench and we are hopeful that this will better control our invaders. Finally, we had them "refresh" our white stones that cover our plantar border, and trim an overgrown Dama de Noche bush. Jesus is the first to admit that he is not the cheapest as he makes sure he takes care of his employees, is licensed, insured, bonded, and guarantees his work.
