I went to Westheimer Nail for a pedicure because the place I regularly go to was closed and I was going to a luncheon. Here are my observations that people should know before they have any work done. Their pedicure prices start at $29 where all the places nearby are $25. Then the nail technician insisted on the second option which was $36.00 which I weakly agreed to. There is absolutely no justifiable reason to pay this price when you can get same treatment for $25 at a nearby nail salon; and may add with a friendlier technician! To make matters worse while cutting my cuticles, the technician cut me! Four days later still hurts and still wearing a band-aid! I will never go back to this place!! Even if I am invited to a last-minute event! read more

Saturday morning I went to the nail shop to get 2 services my pedicure shellac and my powder full set Everything was good until they started rushing and I just did not feel like they were taking their time. The ladies and staffs here are pretty friendly. I was offered drinks which was nice. I went with #3 on the menu for pedicure which included additional add-ons like massages and all, and the process was relaxing. I hadn't planned but I also decided to get my acrylics manicure and i am super satisfied the work my technician, Mimi. She took time to do them and it turned out so good. I normally try to steer away from large establishments because they make you feel like you are just another one of many clients they get everyday and short-cut their ways and not care. just trying to say this place isnt like that! and they understand English. also the price is reasonable and there are a lot of parking. read more

First, I'd like to start by saying, my pedicure was really good, done by Tina, who was very friendly & nice. The lady who did my nails didn't have a name tag. I told her multiple times that I wanted solar nails. She tried at least 5 times to convince me to get shellac, dipping, etc. basically everything other than what I wanted. I told her, firmly, that I wanted solar. She continued to but clear solar then PAINT OVER them with white paint. I've been getting solar nails for 5 years & ive never had someone use regular nail polish. My finger was cut by the tools twice & the whole experience was painful & unenjoyable. read more

Up until this past Saturday this was my go to place for the best pedicure in Houston. Their herbal pedicure, when done right, is like nothing I've ever experienced in Houston. But I took my mom here for the signature service and was basically wasted $150. The first issue was that service was EXTREMELY rushed. I've had the herbal pedicure numerous times and always enjoyed how it long it took. But Saturday, after a 30 minute wait, Kim started my pedicure and it was so rushed and sloppy. She never massaged my feet, forgot to file the dead skin and only cut the cuticles on one foot. Also she painted my toes so fast and thick the polish started to wrinkle when it dried (see pic). Also, Kim is the one in charge so the entire time she was trying to run the shop and do my feet which didn't work out well. Every few minutes she was either hollering across the shop barking orders or getting up to do something. Then halfway through she stops and says "I'm so hungry! I cant do anything else." I said ok, if you need to take a break please do, I can wait". Code for "Go get you something to eat so you're not rushing my service." She never did. Once she was done with my feet she moved over to do my manicure and I again said "Don't you want to go take a break"? This clearly annoyed her. She was short with me and said "I'm fine ma'am." I was thinking, then why did you exclaim how hungry you were a few minutes ago? Anyway, she started cutting my cuticles and I've never been nicked so many times. To the point where I just told her to just skip that part. I know nicks will happen but If 2 of my 5 finger are bleeding I think I've give you a fair shot and you failed. Thankfully she passed me off to another manicurist. But this poor lady was so tired she was literally falling asleep while waiting for my nails to cure under the UV light. Also, my moms shellac manicure started peeling 2 days later and so she just removed them. This just was not a good visit. Basically money down the drain. Stay away on busy days! read more

NO NO NO!!!! This WAS my favorite and only place for pedicures for six, SIX years. Our beloved Kim has left and management is different. It is a younger guy who just paces back and forth glaring at you. This is the worst atmosphere for a relaxing pedicure. All 4 TVs are on different channels - volume full blast. Prices have gone up and quality of services gone down. The pedicures are now half the amount of time - they cut the massages down by half. Earlier it was a men's hangout (non-clientele). Literally random guys partying and yelling in the back of the place. They seem to come and go as they please and have no intention to quiet down, even as they walk by. The new manager is currently hammering something to the wall?! This has been going on for 10 minutes. OH! They also only over 1/4 of a glass of wine. Boo. I tried to stop him on his way out to comment on all of the changes, and he kept on walking out the door 30 minutes before they even closed. Bye Felicia. This is sadly my last visit Unfortunately I didn't learn my lesson....I came back for more disappoint. They are limited on Essie and OPI nail polishes and have cheap substitutes instead. Chairs are cheap and broken (see pic). They gave me more wine this time, but it's CLEAR! You can taste the tap water they mixed and diluted it with. UGHHHH. They've changed their menu/pedi options once again along with more price increases. Unfortunately they won't do herbal pedis anymore. Be prepared for a ton of fruit flies (ew don't know why......) New female manager is sure enjoying her pistachios and evening news/bachelorette like it's her living room. Feet up on the furniture, shoes off and everything. SMH. Paid for 20 minute massage but was in and out of the full pedicure in 40 minutes (5 of that was massage... unlike the 20 I paid for). read more

Recent visit 5/12/2019 Mothers day For those who dont know Kim have sold the shop to new owners. She didnt give her customers any notice at all, very disappointed in Kim. I've been coming to Westheimer Nails for about 8 years and was very satisfied on a regular basis. Only time I didnt like how things were handled is when she had a period of changing the nails technicians a few times. I realized it was new owners a few weeks ago when I went in for a manicure, was told Kim is gone and was reassured although they were remodeling the services and prices were staying the same. Fast forward to yesterday on Mothers day I go in for Mani/Pedi and the menu is totally different where they removed all the original services and replaced with new ones. There is no OPI or Herbal Pedi anymore, they dont give neck massages, no heated neck wraps, no herbal creams for your legs anymore. Highly disappointed that the services are different and you get less but yet your paying more money. 1 day since I got my nails done and they look horrible, you can clearly see where my cuticles werent cut properly and she left a lot of old cuticles on both hands. I havent even taken a closer look at my Ped quite sure its prob just as worse. The previous services and products with Kim left your hand and legs feeling silky soft, I had to put more lotion on when I got in my car. A faithful long time customer has been loss, I will not go back again. Now I have to find a new nail shop. read more

I had a good experience here once upon a time. I should clarify both visits were at the other location across Westheimer by the Sally's Beauty Supply. Anyways, years ago I got a great pedi mani here for $35, and I'd always wanted to go back. Yesterday I finally did for a shellac manicure. Let me just say it was awful. They didn't tell me how long the wait would be, so I finally asked. When the woman from the Wilcrest location showed up I felt guilted into staying, even though I was waiting a while. She was really nice, but didn't seem to know how to do nails well. She mainly focused on getting the old shellac off, and ripping up my cuticles. By the end my hands felt more raw than pampered. She also put the shellac on too thick so it wouldn't dry. When it came time to test the dryness she rubbed it with acetone cotton balls, but it was still gummy, so some of the cotton got stuck on the top. I left with nails that lacked sheen and the texture was all off. I might have asked them to fix it, but I had been there for two hours for just a manicure and I really just wanted to get home. read more

I am reviewing the SNS and am truly obsessed with it, it is the best alternative to acrylic nails! Kim is the only one at this salon that does it, so make sure and make an appointment! The salon itself is clean and they truly try and make you feel relaxed with the neck upper back massage at the end of a pedicure and complimentary beverages ( wine, bubbly, tea, soda, water) I definitely will be coming back! read more

I found this place about a year ago. It's in a strip mall across from Whole Foods. They are very friendly here. The place is clean. And you get a full spa pedi for 35.00. And there's a lot in that 35.00. We're talking mineral soak, the routine clip & file, and paint job; but with the addition of herbs with e.o's (your choice of smell), hot stone massage, paraffin wax treatment, and while your wax sits - a shoulder & head rub. Yep all of that!! I have been going here every since my first visit. They always treat me well. The chairs are massaging too. There are a few ladies that I've come to like more than others of course (Nina & Kimmie), but they all do a pretty good job. Do yourself a favor and go :) read more

Great service - very accommodating and friendly! I called just to check on mani/pedi rates and availability for Friday lunch hour for 3 coworkers coming together and the lady who answered assured me that they could take care of us within our hour! When we got there, we were attended to immediately. Usually, I'm ticklish and do an involuntary, accidental kick when my feet get pumiced (LOL), but not this time. My nail dude did medium pressure for pumice-ing and massage so it wasn't ticklish! And wow, what a value - I can't believe I got a warm shoulder wrap, paraffin wax, hot stone massage, shoulder massage with my pedi for $30. The only reason why I don't give Westheimer Nail a 5 star is because my coworker wanted a manicure and the "boss" kept insisting for her to get a pedi and asked why not. If someone comes in for something specific, I don't think they should be pressured to get something else done. But besides that - because we were attended to right away, the staff was so friendly and considerate of our limited time, our spa experience was relaxing and fun, price was right, and our nails came out great - I would definitely come back here again!!!! I've had the worst experience here. Last Sunday me and my girlfriend decided to get mani/ pedi done at this place. We got the herbal pedicure and regular manicure. Things started out great, we were offered a drink and everything seemed great. Pedicure was alright nothing great, the massage was more like the lady was venting out her frustration on me. Literally hitting me and I had to ask her to stop. Then comes my manicure, the lady doing my nails got distracted at one point talking to her colleague and literally cut my cuticle deeper on my finger and I started to bleed out real bad. I was in pain and almost had tears and she apologized and put some cream on it to stop the bleeding. I wanted to leave but I was half way through my manicure and decided to hang in there. I clearly told her "The least I deserve is a discount" and she nodded. We were done I was super disappointed and walked up to the front to pay and showed the lady my finger and asked her if she could give me a discount (10% would have been decent as well) and all she said was "Sorry" They charged me 55$ for making me bleed And she still looked surprised for not tipping her,Ike seriously! read more

I came into Westheimer Nail on 3/09/18 with my mom and brother . I already have a nail salon I go but because I was visiting on that side of town I went. And let me tell I'm so happy I did!!! The service was phenomenal!! From beginning to end!!! I got a pedi and a full set and it was amazing!! I like that they didn't rush. The ladies took their time and I felt so relaxed the massages they gave my legs,shoulders, and neck was beyond my expectations. Honestly felt better than the massages I received from The Massage Parlor. The place was clean and neat and all the ladies were very kind. Only thing that keeps from being 5 star is that the owner kept trying to convince me change my nails from shellac to powder and I didn't want to. She was very pushy and I don't like that especially when I'm trying to relax. But doesn't change on me wanting to go back and get their services again. The quality of their work is worth it! I have been coming to Westheimer Nails for like 3 years now. Daniel is the new owner and he's awesome ! He makes sure that everyone is followings safety precautions due to COVID. Mask is required the entire time for anyone inside the shop. Hand sanitizer is at each station. There are clear dividers between you and the tech for both mani and pedi chairs. They have clear dividers between pedicure chairs (the chairs recline and massage if you choose). Kaylee has been my tech for a while. She is amazing! Since she started school, Maggie is my new girlll! She is so personable and wants to engage in conversation. She is very talented. I'm so happy they have someone that can do designs besides Kaylee. This place is a true treat. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted and treated like a celebrity (that's how I feel anyway). I've never waited more than 20 minutes even on a busy Saturday morning. You are offered water, juice, or wine and then your escape begins. As I don't have any one person that I go to, I can attest that all of them are great at what they do. Even a basic pedicure gets you a leg and shoulder massage that makes you want to take them home with you. Now when I say they treat you like a celebrity I mean just that. I can admit that sometimes I go not so much for my nails as for a quick esteem boost. They shower every woman who comes in with compliments galore. I have to admit that this is my go to for a pedicure mainly because it is in my neighborhood (less than 5 mins away)... But I shall add that I'm very lucky to have a shop like this so close by! I think one of their shortcomings is what indelibly creates their biggest strength: the desire to please everyone all the time! I have never seen them turn anyone ( walk-ins) away because they were already too busy--this is probably not the best policy because someone will end up very upset if they are left to soak or wait for longer than they feel is appropriate. Granted, as a walk-in, I always expect that it is someone else's schedule that I must adjust to, but not everyone is as sensible as we may think! :-) All that being said, this Vietnamese owned and ran establishment has a sister store across the street. The ladies will travel back and forth to accommodate any overwhelming needs that may arise at this or the other location, so a walk-in is never really turned away. Every single lady I have met at the shop is incredibly sweet and kind. They are different from other Asian nail salons that I have visited...you'll actually find these women have personalities and they will SMILE at you here! The pedicure is very relaxing :-) my boyfriend often comes with me, he enjoys the back and head massage as part of the spa pedicure! For $25, you can have the hot rocks, minty exfoliating cream, the hot paraffin wax and foot rub! It is a great deal and what a treat for yourself!!! So why 4, and not the 5-star?? On a couple of occasions, I wasn't completely happy with how my French ended up looking, but because they were so nice and accommodating, I never get enough gumption to express my disapproval, so it's more on me, I guess. Each lady has her own way of painting the French pedicure, but it seems a bit inconsistent and often times, I would change my mind to a color just to avoid it. At the end of the day, that's what it's really about...finding a place that won't cut you, people who are not rude to you, and leaving with the satisfaction of your weary feet having been pampered properly and looking pretty! Worse experience I have ever had. Everyone is saying the spa is beautiful.. it is OK at best. I have seen more modern & larger locations in Houston with more colors in SNS and Shellac. My first time going there unfortunately had to be my last. On that day, the nail shop's credit card machine was down due to a phone line being down across the street. Several customers were instructed to go across the street to Wells Fargo AFTER their services were completed. One customer was even issued an IOU for their next visit. I, on the other hand was instructed to go BEFORE my services were even started. I did not think that was fair & expressed I would go after my nails were done. Why would i pay for a service that i hadn't received yet? After agreeing that i could go later, Kim told me they were "out" of the SNS color i had picked an HOUR prior. (Good thing i didn't go get the money yet right?) then Kim shows me another color that was OK. I was beginning to get upset at this point and agreed with the random color. I can tell Kim cares about her clients maybe just not me because i was new, but she rushed on my nails while making sure to take care of other people. Basically she was trying to get through as many people as she could as fast as she could. Kim rushed, Used a nail file that was so old it was white, my acrylic was applied paper thin. After my nails yet another blatant attack at my character happened, Kim asked me to allow her HUSBAND TO FOLLOW ME TO THE BANK! At that point i had enough, I am no thief and would never not pay for any service received.I told her no, absolutely not. I will not be "FOLLOWED" by anyone. I went across to Wells Fargo and paid her the money as promised. In case that wasn't enough, after I left the nail shop it got worse. I got my nails done Friday June 1. By Tuesday June 5, just 4 days later two of my nails cracked because of terrible job Kim did. Maybe i just had a terrible experience under the circumstances, but first impressions are lasting. read more

The pedicures are great here, very detailed. Definitely takes a lot longer than usual, I'm talking like 2.5 hrs for pedicure and shellac color change, which is insane! The shellac definitely stays on my nails no chip which is great. However they definitely can't shape your nails the way others can, so for that it's pretty basic. read more

So I actually used to LOVE this place up until my last visit. I came in the day before my wedding to get a manicure and pedicure (just the basics). The water was SUPER hot and I had to tell them to cool it down several times. The lady was super nice and very sweet but she ended up cutting the skin of my toe next to my nail. I continued to bleed the entire pedicure! It was very painful and uncomfortable. Did not even get an apology for it. I may come back as the ladies are very sweet and nice but I have heard that there are cheaper places elsewhere. I will say though that this place is very clean and the people are very nice!
