Leslie is bomb! Decided to try them after leaving the office and so glad I did. The staff is so friendly. They knew every one of their customers that came in. Even asked about their families, trips coming up, etc. Really relaxed cleaned environment. Non of the over the top stuff. Leslie continued to ask if I was happy with every phase of the process. I'd forgotten that I gave this place a try in 2012. I wish I checked because I would've passed & went somewhere else. I'm getting really tired of nail places that rush you through your appointment. I'm tired of sloppy work. And I'm pissed that I tipped 20% for gel nails that peeled 2 days later & my pedi did nothing to make my feet look pool ready on my recent trip to Vegas. I always come here for pedicures after work or school, I usually see Whitney for my nails she's on the far right. Pedicures I like them done by Vickie or the lady that sits next to her and with short hair. They both do a good job at pedicures and your little massage process in between. When you come in, just choose your nail color and then have a seat in the seating area. There's usually little candies close by hehe. Tracy is usually pretty busy, they take call by appointment also! I go there when I need a quick and well done mani/pedi. The place is clean, but I will appreciate if they use pedicure liners. They work fast and do a great job most of the time. The manicurist herself, isn't she supposed to have clean, well manicured nails? Dirt under their finger nails would be a sign of something amiss, no?!? If we believe the above to be a customer's basic, inalienable right, to have staff handling client's hands themselves to be clean, then this place fails miserably. Second, all those shiny tools, when properly sterilized, are generally useful to push back cuticles, rather than using the aforementioned dirty nails of the manicurists, no?!? What's next, using a rusty butcher knife to trim nails rather than a clean, sterilized nail clipper?!? Please avoid this salon until they literally clean up their act, properly train their personnel. read more

I love this place! Whether I make an appointment or not, they always have time to fit me in. Everyone is very nice, and they don't gossip like at other nail salons. They even know who I am when I call no matter who answers the phone. That's good customer service! I always go to Vicky. I get an acrylic overlay so my nails don't break as easily, and it never lifts or chips even after 4 weeks! She's very kind and pays attention to detail. Went somewhere else 1 time since coming here, and never again! Nancy does a great mani pedi if that's what you're needing. Even after moving 40/45 minutes away, I make effort to come here. I went there once a long time ago to get my nails done and the job they did was way below par. It looked like a tacky home job done by a grandma. Today I went back because I was in the area. Not just poor but terrible terrible attitude. Openly racist. I was in the middle of getting my nails done and they put me in the waiting area to take someone else. They kept doing that until I walked out. The manager/owner, Tracey, is the worst. I came right at opening time and was immediately seated and my nails were started on. About 10 minutes into them doing my nails a regular came in(I'm guessing by how all of the workers knew her name). The lady who was doing my nails told me to get up and go to another table and seated that women at her table and started doing her nails. I then had to wait 30 minutes until she finished her nails and then she seated me again and continued my nails. While she was in the middle of doing my nails and they were drying she decided to pick off all of my cuticles and I started bleeding on my thumb. She didn't stop the bleeding and instead drug it into my nail polish leaving blood streaks. I got dip and tip and any other place I go to they do it well and time efficiently. It took over an hour and she only did two layers of dip leaving it looking almost transparent. It was also lumpy along where the tip was put on which should not happen if it is shaved down correctly. I have never been treated as bas as today, being a loyal customer I walked out of there with tears in my eyes and disappointed at the horrible way this lady treats me. For more than 30 minutes I was left waiting in the middle of my nail job, nobody seemed to care and this lady went to work on another customer, my though was that she would get back to me and continue when she let my fingers soaking in acetone...... but NO I had to ask around "what is going on"? and nobody seemed to care, after several attempts to get an answer and get my job properly finished one of them said too me " She is busy now and typo have to come back in two hours ":...... with my acrylic nails halfway done!!!!! what is that???? then I asked again "why?".... and the same answer over and over.... I felt so neglected and embarrassed that I literally was shaking and coulnt help to ask again if someone please just finish my nails and ill be on my way and nothing ..... I walked out of there super upset, no one cared and certainly my nails unfinished and with a feeling of desperation and frustration that I don't wish anyone to experience. The owner remodeled the business with amazing massaging chairs, so go for the pedis. The price is average compare to other nail salons in the area. I paid $35 for a pedi and mani. I went to this business on Saturday to get a pedicure, when i walked in i was not acknowledged i stood there for a few minutes still waiting, so i then said excuse me i need to get a pedicure. The lady that sits in the second seat to the left when you walk in looked at me as if i was disturbing her said something in her language and kept working, then the lady to the right said how can i help you finally so i said i need a pedicure and asked how long is the wait? It was horrible, half ass pedicure was done, no care , concern and no conversation!! I felt some discrimination towards me due to being the only African American in the nail salon. I got a crappy pedicure! My money is just as good as anyone else!!! Now this is the killer , i had to stand and wait to check out , then she finally came to check me out took my card then gave me the receipt, she watched me as i signed to receipt and put a big 0 for her tip man you should have seen her expression!!! , lol. I've been coming here with my little sister ever since I was in high school. Tracey and her crew have been here for years and seem to have a loyal customer base, but they can accommodate walk-ins as well. Whenever I'm in town we go at least a couple times a year. Everyone is friendly and takes their time to make sure you get good service. My sister and I usually just get very basic mani pedis (or just pedis) so can't speak to the dip or gel services. They've upgraded the facilities over the years, and I haven't seen the sanitary issues some other reviews mention. They are always able to get my super calloused feet into shape. read more

I usually go to Lux nails but decided to try this place since it's closer to my house. I wouldn't give this place a star but decided to because I had a nice polish job. The staff is racist, when I came in I was greeted with (what do you need) and was directed to the polish. No hellos, no smiles and I received a very cheap pedicure, I'm use to the hot wax as part of the basic pedicure. This place is a joke with unprofessional staff. read more

Tracey is outstanding! I've never had such an amazing shellac manicure (french!) done so quickly, efficiently, and perfectly! She also gave me an amazing paraffin treatment which she left on for the perfect amount of time (not too long where it becomes annoying, and not too short where it barely does anything). Myself & 3 other ladies went together on a beautiful Sat afternoon for the first & last time. Whomever answered the phone said "yes we can accommodate 4 people". This was not true, we waited a little bit & they put us in chairs apart from each other in pedicure chairs where the foot basins were not lined with plastic bags. These nail techs all proceeded to USE THE SAME INSTRUMENTS directly on our feet that they JUST FINISHED USING on the lady next to us and then proceeded to use the same instruments they just finished using on us, on the lady in the chair next to us! Didn't even try to hide it! I called the Houston health dept on the way home and will follow up with them today. If I had not seen it I would not believe it. Generally this is a nice salon. I called before to ask if there was availability and was told to just come in; I had about a 10 mins wait on a Friday lunch time, so not too long of a wait. I did a standard mani and pedi for $30, which included a massage chair, and a gentle massage of legs and arms (very gentle). I was quite pleased about my nails, not too pleased about the "massage" but that was not the key service I came for. Whitney attended to me and was professional but did not say a word to me until the end. Generally will recommend this salon as is a good price for a mani pedi with fair service, and a large selection of colors. read more
