I love ease this place :-) Always friendly & take care of me & mom who has Alzh so needs special attention.

After looking for a new nail salon I tried this place because I frequent memorial city mall. I have pretty much gone the gamut as far as nail service at this salon...acrylic and mainly dip. I get basic no frill pedicures. Didn't like acrylic nails because once that acrylic nail starts lifting it is very uncomfortable, almost painful, and unsanitary. I get different vibes from this place depending on who does my nails. Some are more attentive to detail than others. Some make you feel more relaxed and comfortable than others. Cathy appears to be a little older and more mature than most of the techs...she is great...and appears in high demand. There's one that walks around in outfits and short skirts that look too young for her, kind of flippant demeanor. I've detected what I considered 'dismissive' or 'patronizing' attitudes with some...which makes my 'racism' antenna start beeping. This is a no frills salon...no lotion and hand massages that make you feel 'finished' and beautiful when you leave. Same for pedi unless you get a special pedi...or the right tech. I tip every time but on one occasion I didn't have cash and the tech 'instructed' me to 'bring cash next time'. This salon is 'just okay'....Also note: yesterday 12/11/25 I got a dip manicure where the tech put my hands in a bowl and poured polish remover in it ...about three fourths of my fingers were immersed in the remover...to remove old polish. My fingers were very dry after completion of the manicure...I have been using Vaseline on my hands to alleviate the dryness since the manicure. My hands feel slightly less dry but the residual dryness from having my fingers in that polish remover is still there. I DON'T THINK THIS IS A HEALTHY PRACTICE AS MOST REMOVERS CONTAIN FORMALDEHYDE!!! I SHOULD NOT HAVE ALLOWED IT!!! IF A TECH TRIES IT...DO NOT LET THEM!!! read more

Guess I should've listened to the reviews. I got a shellac pedi, tip for big toe that broke, callus scrub and a basic polish change for $80. my pedicure was perfect my hands horrible. I didn't get a chance to post this on the next morning but I got my services 6/16. They asked me to pay before my hands were polished and no one else was doing that so I found it very odd but who knows. The atmosphere is cute nothing to brag about. Cleanliness is a 7/10, the staff is very friendly. If I returned it would have to be for something they specialize in AND I need an itemized receipt lol read more

I continue to go to this place and the service is still amazing. Kim is my go to nail technician. I've been going to her for over 13 years. She is like a mini therapist and knows everything about me and my life. This place treats you like family. I love the owner Lisa who always greets meet with a smile. I see bad reviews on here but I have never received less than 5 star treatment in all of the years I have been going. Kim is always booked so make an appointment and tell her you read my review! I wouldn't return here, I've never had an issue with them looking weeks old after a or two day at other salons. I will admit that I tend to mess with my cuticles do to anxiety but other salons usually clean it up. so i went to this salon to get a pink french tip with powder. the lady that was gonna do my nails was suggesting me to do shillac and i wanted POWDER but she was kept on telling me to do shillac because its EASIER!!! I asked if there's anybody els that can do it so i had to wait over 30 min for somebody else to them. The second lady was nice but my nails been breaking from the middle and it hasn't been 2 weeks. i got them done on the 11th and went in after a week to get a nail fix and i saw a crack on another nail so i asked the lady if she could put a layer of clear powder on it but she was refusing so!! lidk whyyyy so she calles her coworker and shes comes and tells me if we put clear powder on it it will cover the pink color so you have to take the whole nail off and redo it!!!! How does that make any sense??? if its CLEAR powder how is it gonna cover the pink color???anyways after all she did put the clear layer and charged me $6.99 to fix one nail. but why would they give customers such a hard time for simple things i felt very unwelcomed and will not be returning to this place ever again. read more

Update: Do not go to Laura. The first time she did my nails, they looked nice but she left the acrylic rough around the cuticles. This time she messed them up completely. The acrylic was messy and they already fell off. It's been less than week. Seriously, wth? My nieces press ons last longer than that! The other ladies did good and I'll still return, just not to her. I was a little worried to try a new place, especially in the mall. I'm glad I did! I love the color choices and I love the way they came out. I like the natural look. I asked that they make my nails look like my own nails, they nailed it!! I have a regular salon I go to but this is easier because my husband and kids can walk around the mall while I get them done. I always come to this place bc it's affordable and also they do a fast job and USUALLY always do a good job. I feel like you get lucky on who does your nails. If you get a good lady then your experience is great if not then GOOD LUCK. You can tell management anything and they don't care. They are more quantity then quality FOR SURE. They aren't there to converse they just do your nails (& when I say nails I mean just nails, they do not do NOT focus on the cuticle not massage or anything just nails, unless you're doing a pedi then they give you a 2-5 min massage). Just keep in mind it's more of a convenience thing. You're not going to feel like a queen or anything it's just getting your nails done and that's it. The lady today did my nails and I had a bad experience with her she freaked out when I told her I wanted square shaped after she began cutting into pointy shaped. She had NOT asked me. My nails look sloppy and I was looking forward to having pretty nails for my birthday... She ended up cleaning up her attitude after I told her it wasn't my intention to make her feel angry but she wasn't doing my nails the way I wanted to. Either way wouldn't recommend Timmy. BLACK LIVES MATTER! RACISTS! DISCRIMINATORY! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I am a Principal at a nearby school if that helps understand how real this post is and how much I want to protect others from the emotional distress I experienced today. Do not come here if you are black or brown. They have countless times had very aggressive and unprofessional encounters with people of color who are Black or Hispanic or basically not Asian. I have been going here for years and today I was extremely discriminated against for no reason. The manager begged me to not leave a bad review because she knew how racist and how discriminatory my experience was today. The manager was trying to find a girl to do my nails and the girl that she assigned basically didn't even make eye contact with me and was telling the girl next to her something in their language around not doing my nails so the manager took me to another chair and found somebody else. She also refused to do my nails as well and I only know they refused after I spoke to the manager before I left without my nails done. As you can see in the picture, they took off my old nails and that's how I left. The manager was basically managing the front desk with the new clients coming in and taking my nails off and offering to do my nails for 50% off because none of the girls wanted to do my nails. I was confused as to why she was doing my nails and managing the desk with so many open nail techs. They were literally doing the nails of walkins after me. I asked the manager why the nail tech she first assigned did not want to do my nails and this was a girl at the table number 21 today May 8, 2021. She said she doesn't know and I told her I never did anything to her the last time she did my nails, but just had her redo two nails that had holes from the powder and that's it. I was very professional and very neutral when I asked her to redo them just like anyone would that would have a messed up nail or if they were getting their hair done and it was not done right you have the person redo it. I even left her a tip last time and everything. The Manager told me that basically the other girls were not going to do my nails because this girl doesn't want to do my nails and she apologized profusely about it. The manager asked me to do my nails 50% off and then asked me if I wanted to come Monday and she would do my nails for free. They basically knew they messed up and I told her no thank you I was going to leave a bad review but I am so hurt by this all because I am a principal at a school and I deal with people all the time and I would never leave a customer feeling like this. I understand if I was rude, but I literally have been polite and loyal for years. It was very disturbing to the point where I am considering filing a discrimination lawsuit. I honestly know that if I was a white woman this would have never happened. They literally bounced me from chair to chair and were super rude. The manager was very sweet and trying her best to deal with her nail techs, but she was trying to buffer what the nail techs were saying and doing (discriminating against me for no reason) which was basically refusing to service me even though I've been there for years and have had almost every single girl in there do my nails before and basically this new nail tech got in her feelings off of a normal interaction last time that was not disrespectful at all and caused everyone to not do my nails today. I feel very hurt and this is an example of discrimination and I would never recommend anyone of color going to this place they are super rude and the customer service is horrible! read more

I went to get my nails done yesterday and paid $120+ $20 tip all for my nails to last a few hours. If I'm paying that kind of money I expect my nails to last more than 24 hours! I tried to go back today to get them fixed but they closed early. Will try again tomorrow for a third trip out there, hopefully they don't give me a hard time about fixing them. To be continued... Update; I did get them redone finally but then some of the other nails started lifting after a few days. I decided to get them all removed and start over. Are usually get a refill only one time and then do a new set the next time. I went to a different place this time to see the damage. Four of my nails are starting to turn green. The nail tech suggested I cut them all off and let my nail bed rest. This has never happened to me before and I have been coming to La Palm nails for a while now. I came here while waiting for my iPhone to get repaired. The manicure was cheap however it was done incredibly poorly. The feeling was not welcoming and two of the technicians were having a screaming argument while I was waiting for my nails to dry. I have not felt this uncomfortable in a salon ever. this was the worst pedicure i have had in all the years of getting them done, after a week my feet didn't look like i had a pedicure. i got shellac in which after about a week and a half it looked horrible, i was able to peel the polish off without any problems because the polish was peeling, i think they use cheap polish and charge you alot for this. i would never go back to them ever again read more

Most places close at 7 and given that I leave work at 6, it makes it extremely convenient. My nail tech started off really sweet and nice. I needed a refill and to fix a broken nail. After putting on the top for the broken nail and after the order was applied she started on my shape, asking me what shape I wanted. I told her I wanted it to be between stiletto and almond shape. She says she didn't quite understand so I should her a photo reference. She proceeded with the wrong shape after I tried to give her direction. I looked at my index finger where the broken nail was fixed and the nail was put on crooked. I asked her to file out the other way to make it not look crooked. She basically tells me my finger is that way and that's the way she knows how to do it. I told her I didn't come in with a crooked nail so I'm not leaning with a crooked nail. She takes the nippers and clips off the nail and starts again. I'm annoyed and ready to go at this point, trying to hold back tears because the customer service was just awful. She puts a new nail on still wrong shape so I just told her to stop. Didn't even let her put the gel top coat on because I'm going to my regular nail lady in the morning to get them fixed. read more

They have a couple of different treatments, do a decent eyebrow wax and a good mani/pedi, but this is your everyday nail place, not the "I just broke up with my boyfriend and I want to be pampered" place. I've walked by this place many times & thought who the heck would come to a nail salon...in a mall? I can not imagine the cluster-f it is to find parking & schlep my rather cute butt into this place. I was given hardly anytime to soak my hands, the tech barely trimmed my cuticles, the massage was crappy & the polish application....well let us just say that my 13 year old nephew could have done a better job. No wait. I could have done a better job applying the polish with my feet & blindfolded. I didn't even wait for them to dry. First time visiting and it was the worst visit ever. My usual nail salon closed early so this was an emergency visit. The lady that did my nails actually sat there and argued with me over my request. Did not do what I requested. She did not file my nails down, she did not smooth them out. I was livid As I'm getting ready to pay for the horrendous nail job she actually asked for a tip! I explained in great detail why I would not be giving her a tip, she in turn turned around to the twenty some workers and they all at the same time started talking in their language and giving me dirty looks. Image nails actually is my top place to get a pedicure. They do a pretty good job on waxing but be sure you are direct and clear with what you want otherwise you will get the same eyebrows as the technician. They are usually busy but they move quickly. The quality of pedicure i get there is bar none. Im sorry im not getting a pedicure to have someone massage lotion into my legs, they are maintaining my feet and they do a fantastic job of it. Be warned this does include pain they are ruthless at making your feet look the best they can and they will shape and cut and trim and poke until the mission is accomplished. I went here LAST Saturday with a friend because we were going Christmas shopping and I also wanted my nails done. It took less than an hour and I noticed she mainly focused on my nails and didn't push back the cuticles or anything. The nail tech even asked what shape I wanted (I'm a strict coffin girl) and she cut them into squares anyway. What was the point in asking me then? The lady who did my manicure didn't say a single word to me the entire time, when she needed me to move my hand she didn't even ask she just stared at me blankly until I turned my head and saw she needed me to move it. She yanked my hand by my thumb to put it in the water. and my nails look terrible. she didn't file them evenly, so my nails are all different lengths. And I chose a regular polish and then the top coat she used on me had glitter from someone else's nails in it so now my polish is glittery, which I did not want.
