My only complaint is that everyone was being offered a drink, and neither her or the person who sat me asked me if i wanted a drink or water. Anyway, I did like how my nails came out. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and the outcome was similar to what I asked for. I have been coming here for about a year and have always paid $70-$75 for frenchies which is reasonable. On Friday, I went in for the same service but its ridiculous that they charged me double for frenchies because I added an extra line of color. My total came out to be $93 for just a nail set. Im appalled because there was no other design. On top of that my appointment was at 1pm and I was already on my way and they wanted me to come in at 2pm, so I had to wait 35-40minutes to get seen. I asked the receptionist if they could do a fine-line chrome design, and they assured me they could. After spending more than two uncomfortable hours sitting in the pedicure section, I ended up with the result in the photo below. I would have appreciated simple honesty; that the level of detail I requested was beyond their capability. Instead, I was left in an ill-suited chair for an unreasonable amount of time, only to receive work that was noticeably careless, poorly executed, and embarrassing. I made an appointment for 430 I showed up on time and I waited until 515 for them to start working on my Nails try to walk out I was pretty annoyed she asked me to stay . I felt bad because the nail test kept apologizing but it wasn't her they needed to apologize it was management. My manicure was completed and I went to pay and of course she forgot to charge $5 nail shaping , so I paid for that and that's the very moment I realized I never want to come back to oasis. I do understand that we live in Houston and it is boiling hot outside, but they could at least adjusted the temperature to a comfortable level. It was my first time going to this location, being that it was close to my work. I asked a nail tech for a simple medium length French tip manicure. Although he was very nice, he could've done better. He added a bit too much color powder and filed my nails way too short. I will admit, I did choose the color, but it's not my favorite type of pink. I've had worse nail experiences, and I've had better, so Oasis falls right into the middle, but more on the negative side. One thing I noticed right away is that there were a ton of men working here--more so than women. The girl next to me getting her nails done was there before I arrived, and was still there after I left, as the guy who was doing her nails was spending an excessive amount of time adding and removing polish to get the color just right. The guy who did my nails was not very friendly and did a sloppy job with the gel. It came out really thick / darker in some areas, which was disappointing. I had the signature mani and found it surprising that he filed my nails and did the scrub, etc after my nails were already painted. Maybe that's typical for gel? Just not what I'm used to. For the price (roughly $50, including the gel upgrade) I would have expected better. I'd give them another shot since their cleanliness seemed good, but I would try somewhere new first. read more

I either go with a polish change/nail cut ($20) or a pedicure with Oasis Say Out (the basic package - comes with scrub, lotion, choice of gel/shellac or polish) for $27(?). Everyone there is nice, the seats are comfy, there's Wi-Fi, and they give you a complimentary drink. Some employees speak more English than others but I've never had any issues communicating with them. I've had only two instances where I didn't get the very best service (polish wasn't that neat and was on my skin) but I just went home and got it off with some remover. My mom and I stopped in yesterday because they were giving away free pedicures or manicures for their Grand Opening and what a better way to try out a new place then with a free service!! It's located in the Memorial shopping center so it's very posh and safe. There is plenty of parking and when you're done there is shopping and restaurants all around to enjoy. The salon is pleasing to the eye. Nice and bright, with nice deco, and the it isn't too big and overwhelming. The chairs are comfortable, the equipment is clean and there are plenty of colors to choose from. The prices are also very reasonable for the location, especially compared to the other salons in the general area ($30 for a basic pedicure with 5 minute massage). They also offer a menu for drinks which is a new feature at most nail salons now. The manager and staff were friendly, polite and welcoming. I also enjoyed the fact that everyone had on uniforms. The only con: When you first walk in you fill out a menu sheet indicating what services you want and I liked how the sheet indicates what level of massage you want. My mom and I chose strong and although our free 5 minutes massage was pleasant it definitely was nothing near strong. It felt like a typical foot massage I have gotten at any other nail salon. Despite the failed "strong" massage it still passed all my other checks and I will definitely be back and have made this my new local nail salon. read more

Wow! I've been getting my nails done for 16 years and I don't think I've ever had such a good experience. So glad I found this place! It's a little hidden, but a gem! I came in as a walk in and was immediately greeted and seated. They have you write down your service and give you a sheet so they know what you're getting and no one forgets. I wanted polish change on my toes and shellac on my hands. I had to bit but they brought me water, (they have other options!) and gave me time to choose a color. I chose a neon yellow for summer! My nail tech was so sweet and professional. She meticulously painted my nails and checked in with me every once in a while to make sure I loved it. She did a great job and my nails look awesome. I've been to other salons where they were too rough, but the staff at Oasis were gentle and receptive to my requests. He filed off my shellac. As in he used a nail file on the surface of my nails. He took so much of my nail off it was painful. And now they are paper thin. 2. He was very aggressive with the cuticle clippers and cut me. 3. He did not file the edges of my nails well so they are jagged. 4. The polish was painted on unevenly and it is now bubbling up.
