After one of my appointments, the tech simply told me to wash my hands and then got up and left without saying another word--something that had never happened before. From afar they look great but up close theres so many mistakes. I choose to do dip and the art design was not complicated at all it was poka dots and strips. Somehow I got charged $89 dollars for just the nails. It looks rushed and I still tipped her after I asked her to redo the nail art on my white fingers since the color didn't match the dip I choose and yes I did choose the color but it didn't look the same as the options. She even told me they don't have the color. I was going to ask to completely redo it but they wanted to charge me for it. Dude how are you going to recharge me for making my nails look bad. I went for the first time two days ago because it's so close to home. This has been my worst experience since I moved to Houston. I've been getting Gel X nails to help my real nails heal from acrylic. I got my nails done on July 23 in the evening. By July 24, one nail fell off and two more have followed since then - I'm posting this on July 25. This is totally unacceptable! Between these nails and my pedicure the cost was $145.00 plus tip. The polish is now peeling off my thumb nail and this tells me that the products are just very low quality. They only have two techs that do GelX so keep that in mind. Yes, they offered to repair and I accepted it, but I was spoken to in a manner that made me feel like I was the problem when they should be embarrassed by this terrible work. I haven't used cleaning products, don't do anything strenuous and work at a desk all day - this wasn't a result of anything that I di After after spending so much time getting them done in the first place, having to return less than three days later is unacceptable. This is a complete waste of time and there won't be another opportunity for them to waste my time like this again. Think twice before heading to blush for Gel X. My pedicure was amazing so I give them one star, but I'm just never going back after this. Update: the salon allowed me to return for repair of the nails that popped off almost immediately and I really had hope! That was Thursday... it's now Monday and another (new finger) is lifting. Had a gift card from a family member so I took my daughter on her 7th birthday for a princess manicure and pedicure. I also received a much needed pedicure. It took a minute for us to be greeted when we walked in but a nice gentleman checked us in and escorted us to the ladies who would be working on our pedicures. We actually live right down the street and it was our first time at Blush and we quite enjoyed ourselves. The ladies were really nice to my daughter (she's a little shy) but they made her feel pretty and comfortable which was nice to witness. The place is pretty big, nice and clean. This is my go to salon for my nails. I love Tim. He is the BEST to touch my nails. The shop is very clean, they have employees constantly cleaning and offering you drinks. Bad service and not worth the money. I came in for a shellac removal and new polish 2 days ago. The salon was empty but looked clean so I decided to stay. I currently have long nails and asked for round shape. After applying the base coat the nail tech (who I assumed is the owner) informed me that my nails were weak and will likely break. I asked her if she could trim them down to a healthy length and she responded 'honey I already applied the base coat' .... umm ok any other nail salon I've been to wouldn't have denied that service. I feel as if she weren't rushing through my appointment and distracted bossing around all of her staff, she could've informed me of this much sooner. I thought it was overpriced. I have paid $10-$15 less for the same services at nail salons in the area. The worst part of all is that although my nails haven't broken, the shellac is completely cracked on multiple fingers. I would've been better off doing regular polish. Save the hassle and bad time and head over to Milano Nail Spa in the Heights. This was probably one of the worst manicures I've ever received. I was the first to arrive in a party of 6 - first to sit down and get started. My dip manicure took well over 2 hours and of my party of 6, I was the last to leave that chair. I'm not sure what the issue was - but even when my tech was "done", I noticed that she forgot to put the top coat on one hand that makes the nail shiny. By then, I was so frustrated I didn't say anything and just left. The reason for this rating is because I just walked in at 7pm, a male asked me what I wanted and I told him a pedicure, he told me to pick my colors and he would be right back. I went in for a quick full set and I know their prices are $7-$10 more than your average nail shop for no reason but it's in a good area i guess. The price was $35 for the full set and an additional $5 for a specialty shape!!!!!! OVAL is a specialty shape??? Wow I didn't get stiletto, coffin or some trend shape. These nails look like damn chick-lits... !!!!! You know what screw them !! This is the 2nd time .
