Please read my previous review of this company. (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Update as of 10/13/2020: I cannot find a word to describe the nerve, the impertinence and infamy of this company, Western Van Lines. WE HAVE NOT BEEN DELIVERED OUR HOUSEHOLD ITEMS - NOTHING, it has been one and a half months waiting for our things. This Company lies to the BBB the lies to Customers, they get away with crimes to good faith families with impunity. Please someone get this company and their owner HOFIT AZUELOS to pay for all the damage they have caused. Take it out of business. Update as of 10/17/2020: We FINALY received our things on Wednesday, Oct 15th. One and half months after our pick up in Parkland and 34 business days later, AFTER the first "available" delivery date... The abuse and disrespect from this company has no known name. A driver whose name we only new was "Serguei" but then it was "Alexander the Great" (For real, that is what the driver told us). This driver, who refused to give us his last name, called us on Tuesday night, at 6:10 pm, saying he was 2 hours away and that he will be delivering our things the next morning, sometime from 7 to 8am, and that we should have the balance due before unloading the truck. That phone call, should have happened with 48 hours in advanced, we received the phone call just from morning to night after waitting and struggling with the inexistent Customer Service from Western Van Lines for a whole month and a half, my husband had to go to several ATMs to try to get the balance due that same night since we were given no warning at about the delivery. THESE DRIVERS, WHO ARE PART OF THE SCAM AND GROUP OF LOW LIFE VANDALS, DO THIS SO THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY THEM IN CASH (since the post office is not open after 5 and opens in the morning only at 8am), NOT A MONEY ORDER, AND TO AVOID PAYING TAXES ON IT. That's why they DO NOT WARN YOU 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE NOT EVEN 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE. But this is not all, around 35% of our things were broken, boxes and containers broken, furniture with multiple scratches, my son's bike looks as if it was thrown down from a 3 story building. THESE PEOPLE DO NOT RESPECT YOU OR YOUR THINGS. We were so exhausted and drained from this experience that just paid the guy so that he lived and we are now trying to make it with what was left usable of our things. To end my update, I want the public to remember that these guys, WESTERN VAN LINES, are subcontractors, that you only know about them the day of the pick up when you cannot do anything, the company/broker General Storage and Moving is the one that gets you into this mess, offering you an attractive rate and the exploiting you for every little things and applying fees that were not discussed initially. If anyone is reading this and is doing something to make these criminals pay for their ILLEGAL actions, let me know how I can help and feel free to use my documented experience to that end. In waiting so long for our things, we spent around $1,500 on things we wouldn't need to buy if the Carrier had delivered in a timely manner. Nobody is going to pay us back for all the damages to our things, or for the psychological and emotional distress this whole experience has caused us and other families. I will be uploading pics soon.

DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. My things were DELAYED, BROKEN, AND MISSING. If I could do my move all over again, I would save myself SO much stress by never, ever using this company. A family member chose these movers for me and I so wish I had done my own research. 1. Delayed My items were picked up on June 13. This was an interstate move across four states. The first available delivery date was June 17. Items sat in their Kansas City warehouse until July 17 and were finally delivered on July 20!!! I was without essential items in my new place for a full month. We were told it would be more like two weeks max, but that was an outright lie so we would book with them. Whenever I tried to call the person in charge of long distance moves (Laura) the phone would ring and go to voicemail. She never once picked up. I left many messages asking her to call me, the destination person - my name and number were in the file - but every time she called the number for the pickup person, who then had to relay the message to me. Then I noticed that when I called her number, I couldn't even leave a voicemail for her anymore - I would just get routed directly to customer service. Is this woman even doing her job? 2. Broken The back of my tall bookcase got smashed in during the move, and the lids of two of my plastic storage bins got completely mangled. One cardboard box arrived ripped all down the side; most were smashed. 3. Missing I had a leather loveseat (expensive when new - and the item/manufacturer is now out of business) and the two back pieces could be taken off for easier moving. Those back pieces are now GONE and Western Van Lines is making 0 effort to find them. I have half a couch now which might as well be no couch because it's non-functional without the back. Where could they have gone??? I am not holding my breath that they'll find them considering everything that's happened so far. I also don't think we'll get anything near the cost of a replacement back. Not to mention: Once the movers arrived to pick up the items, they told us that we had to pay more than the initial quote we received, even though everything was assessed correctly. So we ended up price gouged for a seriously subpar job. What a scam! The team who came to pick up the items was also wildly unprofessional - no one was wearing masks and they even asked to use our printer to print out documents they needed for their next pickup.

When move day came, I decided that I didn't really want to bring my sofa due to being old and ratty.

Originally as we were moving out of state, we tried one of the national moving companies which we will never do again. As everything is only done over the phone. They wanted half of the quote money up front, did not even have half of our belongings listed and the CU (cubic units) was short, about 1,000 cu. Plus, other issues we will not mention. We felt they lacked proper communication and dealings were not professional from our standpoint. My husband contacted "VALLEY CUSTOM MOVERS" from Nampa, ID and we cannot say enough great things about them. Corey is one of the owners. came to our home and physically walked through and listed everything with us. He listened, answered all our questions and always personally returned all our calls after were gave him the job. Yes, their quote was right on, matched everything we wanted moved and the quote was a very great price for what we needed. His crew did complete packing, loading and storing all belongings in their warehouse until we have a new home out of state. On our job we had 1 owner & 5 crew members and each one of them were very efficient in what they were doing. They each knew what needed to be done. The packing of our home (1,900+ sq ft) home was completed in about 5 hours. The next day it only took them about 2 hours + to load 2 trucks and take our belongings to their warehouse. My husband was thrilled with their professionalism, quality of work and how they each asked questions. To be sure that what was being moved would go into the trucks and items that needed to be left. They are like a one shop move with the same crew packing, loading, storing and delivering our belongings to our new home and setting up all our furniture. They all get an A+ rating from us from Tara in the office to Corey and the other owners and all their crew.

There were two sets of men packing the truck and on the end unpacking. I was a little worried about that but, it turned out that everything was great. I can tell you his pricing was better than everyone else's and he was much more accurate at estimating time needed then any other company I spoke with. I met with the team of movers at our storage unit and they were there and ready to work before I got there. I showed them the three storage units we had and was told it wouldn't take long. They even turned in my keys with the storage unit so I wouldn't have to stay while they loaded everything. It took them an hour and a half to load everything, which was absolutely incredible. They met me at the new house, did a quick walk through and started to unload. They even helped us to unload the POD we had in the driveway. These guys were awesome! Professional, helpful, and willing to do whatever needed to ensure our experience with Cross Town was top notch. The overall move took only 4 hours, which was less than was bid. The bill was exactly what I expected, no hidden costs, and the team was beyond my expectations. I cannot thank Evan, Elliott, Paul, Zac and Andrew enough!

Then I requested another move within a year from same upstairs room to a 2bd apt. The first team was late. About midway into loading the truck, I was told there was a problem with the first team not competently loading their truck fast enough, then causing a SECOND team to show up at the destination. This was going to be betterand faster and should cost about the same as last time. NO. The first team failed me. (One of the team members kept going into the moving truck and taking vape hits. Now, I didn't think too much of that at the time. Thought it might help him enjoy his job better?) ugh. Then I overhear a comment saying "There's so much little stuff." Really? since when do movers bitch...lol So the second team was in and out and done by dark. There was some time where the apt peeps messed up and had to wait, but. Still, I was charged $1650 for this ridiculous move. (I was shocked. I have never in my life paid close to that.) I did make a comment about what it would be to move a house. $20,000? Really? so toss in the bucket fee to these guys. and I tipped them too. will I ever learn. Anyway, Double charged for DOUBLE THE TROUBLE. I will never use them again nor recommend. I am moving next year and happy to try someone else.
