Got an e-mail from them confirming and with all the correct information that I'd entered. I called the Stor It at 1435 Malad Street to confirm that everything was ready for my rental on October 1st. The man who answered the phone said he never got the e-mail from Stor It on-line. So I confirmed that the e-mail address on the e-mail I'd received from them was correct and forwarded it to him. He said he didn't receive that one either. We went through the lengthy process of giving him all the same information AGAIN and I paid for, with a credit card, the remaining September portion of the rent. I made an appointment to sign the contract for 11 AM on October 1st. I arrived at the Malad Street location to sign my contract at 10:50 AM. The woman working said there was no contract and kept insisting that I had the wrong location; I'd rented somewhere else. I keep asking her if she wanted to look it up by my last name and she kept refusing. Then I said I'd have to call the police because someone at the phone number at this location had taken my credit card and made charges; verified on-line via my credit card website. Then she looked it up by my last name and lo and behold I had paid for a space at that location. She said they weren't doing my contract there and I had to go to Park Center Stor It to sign the contract. I told her to call them to verify that that was, in fact, true. She argued and didn't want to but I finally pestered her enough to get her to call. I asked for her name but she said they didn't give out their names due to security issues. I said I understood given the shame she must be feeling. Then I drove to Park Center Stor It and was 'waited on' by Mary. Mary informed me that Corporate Stor It, whoever they are, had decided not to rent to me since my attitude was bad. My attitude was bad? Their internet doesn't work either on-line applications or simple forwarded e-mail, their staff doesn't know where contracts are executed, their staff is too lazy or untrained to know how to look up a contract, and their management decides who they rent to based on this level of customer service? I'm glad because I would never intrust my valuables to this type of organization. Luckily I found out before any problems occurred and I'm sure with this type of staffing, many problems do occur. I found Republic closer to the airport, staffed by very professional people and am pleased by the outcome. Beware of Stor It!

I returned later that night only to find that my access code to the gate would not work. I have since then called and left a message regarding this issue, and never received a returned call. When I was actually able to get a hold of someone, they said they would resolve the issue with my code, and send someone up there to fix it. It has been almost 3 weeks and I still can't access my unit. They just sent me an invoice for the first month and I am curious if they actually expect me to pay it considering the circumstances.

The outside doors that lead into the storage units don't seem to lock at all, not even at night and the doors themselves are very flimsy and thin. Wouldn't be hard for someone to break it down. Some of my things had been chewed on by what I'm assuming are rats (see attached photos) and there was so much poop in my boxes as well as dead spiders. The real kicker was a dead snake stuck to some duct tape on one of my boxes. You read that right. A DEAD SNAKE! I'll say it again, if you value your stuff DO NOT STORE IT HERE!!!!!

They told me for the first thirty days it would be $55.00. Well that wasn't the case. That charge was for the remainder of the month which was 10 days. Unless you read the entire agreement I suggest not renting. I'm furious. I did a revocation of my signature. And trust and believe it's exactly how they train their employees. They want you to be mislead so you rent and sign. This review is for every location in the USA. I'm filing a formal statement and complaint with the mayors office and Better Business Bureau!

I emptied out my unit when I moved out, and yet I'm still getting hammered with a $75 "abandoned…read moregoods fee". And there's no way to get in touch with anyone in the office. This is unacceptable. Why should I pay when I didn't leave items behind?? This is on top of the egregious price hikes (which were the reason of me moving out to begin with). Finally, there are rodent droppings around the facility if you look for them. Not great. They did in fact get into my unit, which wasn't the most pleasant surprise, especially given that I'd even placed down rodent repellent, which wasn't enough to deter them. I wasn't keeping anything besides furniture anyway, no food. Not to mention the black widow waiting for me in the drawer that I had keeping there, as a last little surprise on my hand as I unpacked. Be careful unpacking your items; examine them thoroghly before bringing them into your home. So to conclude: - There's an incorrect fee (and no way to contact them to resolve this) - Beware of price hikes - Their pest control needs work!
