Then I requested another move within a year from same upstairs room to a 2bd apt. The first team was late. About midway into loading the truck, I was told there was a problem with the first team not competently loading their truck fast enough, then causing a SECOND team to show up at the destination. This was going to be betterand faster and should cost about the same as last time. NO. The first team failed me. (One of the team members kept going into the moving truck and taking vape hits. Now, I didn't think too much of that at the time. Thought it might help him enjoy his job better?) ugh. Then I overhear a comment saying "There's so much little stuff." Really? since when do movers bitch...lol So the second team was in and out and done by dark. There was some time where the apt peeps messed up and had to wait, but. Still, I was charged $1650 for this ridiculous move. (I was shocked. I have never in my life paid close to that.) I did make a comment about what it would be to move a house. $20,000? Really? so toss in the bucket fee to these guys. and I tipped them too. will I ever learn. Anyway, Double charged for DOUBLE THE TROUBLE. I will never use them again nor recommend. Within a few hours he was at my house with his partner and started working. He was very friendly and kept me updated by text right up until he showed up. We needed some heavy furniture moved so they did a quick size-up of what was needed and where to put it. He and his helper took care and didn't hit any walls or scratch anything. They worked quickly to the point that I wanted them to take a break. As I said this stuff was very heavy and was not easy to maneuver. Also, they happily moved other small items for us. He responded promptly with quotes and gave great tips about packing and to use room labels. And Ben, the foreman on site, was super professional and punctual. He took great care with our belongings, even rewrapping some of my furniture (that I did not properly wrap oops!), was a safe driver and kept us updated during his journey with the moving truck. On top of it all, you could tell these were kind compassionate people that we were dealing with. I'm not sure what others expect of moving companies but I don't typically expect everyone to be super friendly or accommodating. I guess I expect efforts for punctuality and for most things to not be broken but this company had it all and were super sweet to boot. They gave Little education on what was going to happen and when I told them about my experience with the movers that they coordinated they pretty much said well that's too bad. You'll have to pay extra. I would never recommend this company to anyone for the care that I received and for the that I got it took them over a week to respond back to my original claim and even then I had to speak to a manager to actually get somebody to talk to me.
