So I literally marked my calendar and called today. Here's where I became extremely frustrated: we had our FINAL contracted service scheduled for today. The representative told me very directly that if I canceled while I was already on the phone, TODAY'S SERVICE WOULD NOT BE COMPLETED. If I wanted the service I had already paid/contracted for, I had to let them come and then CALL BACK AGAIN afterward to cancel. I explained that I work all day and was already on the phone on the exact date THEY told me to call. I asked if they could simply complete today's contracted service and close the account afterward. He said no. The representative was rude, unsympathetic, and offered no reasonable solution. So my choices were essentially: cancel now and lose my final service, or remember to call back later while working and risk an unwanted renewal if I didn't. After a year of not noticing much difference on our property, this cancellation process was the final straw. Too many hoops and unnecessary headaches. Just sharing my experience so other Bergen County families know to ask VERY specific questions about their cancellation/renewal policy before signing a contract. Buyer beware.

Stephen (Inspection & Sales) - Stephen arrived exactly at the scheduled time and was friendly from the moment he walked in. He inspected my attic, measured the square footage, and walked me through all available insulation options. No upselling...just available options. Based on our conversation about my high winter heating bills, he also suggested that my outer walls likely needed insulation. Before giving me any pricing, he made sure I understood that Atticare would secure the best possible PSE&G rebate. They ultimately obtained a sizable rebate (free money!) and a 0% loan for 72 months billed as part of my monthly utilities bill, which allowed me to insulate all three floors of outer walls in addition to the attic. Nick & Crew (Attic Insulation) - Nick and his team also arrived right on time. He explained the scope of work clearly and determined the most efficient way to complete it. The outer wall insulation work took a bit longer than expected due to the number of holes that needed to be drilled, patched, and painted, but the team handled it diligently.
