It's gone downhill, sorry to say. Last few pizzas were doughy, undercooked and too thick with cheap cheese. I ordered grinders yesterday. They were just OK. I asked for lettuce and tomato on one grinder, but didn't get it. I'd understand if it was busy, but I ordered at 2 pm and the shop was empty. Both grinders were a bit skimpy on the meat and a lot of bread (why I avoid Subway). The grinders used to be great, but these were not. Then, to boot, I learned they charge more if you pay with a card - that's shady. Cutting corners, skimpy portions and charging extra for cards leads me to believe they might have some financial issues. I know it can be tough to make a buck on the shoreline in the winter, and I've been in the business for years, so when I say I'm seeing concerning signs, it's because I've been there. WP is very convenient for us and has been a staple for decades - only reason I write this is because I want them to succeed and do better. Just FYI, me and family have been loyal customers since you were located on the green in town center. All in all, not terrible, but standards seem to have slipped. read more

Do NOT go to this place!!! They are extremely rude and they ripped me off when they left off an item on my order. They basically told me to go to hell and hung up on me! They tell you have to use their web site to order and then tell you they can't do anything about it when they screw up the order. The food was not worth it either. Had Hawaiian and vegetarian pizzas and side of meatballs! Pizza was excellent - Lots of toppings and sauce was light and fresh. Crust is a little closer to deep dish. Awesome place!!! My mom and I stopped in for lunch - we split a special grinder, the BBQ chicken rancher {bbq fried chicken, red onion, lettuce, cheese and ranch dressing on a toasted grinder roll}. I was very torn between that and a couple other grinders, but decided on that one since it was a special. It was so good!! The girl that rang me up was super helpful and really nice. We sat outside, she brought us our food very quickly. My husband and I ended up ordering here on a Monday when our usual we're-lazy-and-just-want-some-cheap-grinders placed was closed. Even though our usual place is within walking distance, I don't think we'll ever be back. We loved our first meal from Westbrook Pizza. My husband has tried their pizza before and claims it's really good, but tonight we did grinders. Italian combo and a chicken parm. The bread they used was incredible- like actually good baguette type bread. (I'm a home baker and a definite bread snob! This was excellent bread!) The grinders themselves were large and filled with goodies: chicken, cheese, all the meats, etc. Somehow we both managed to restrain from eating the second half of them so we can enjoy them again tomorrow. We will absolutely be back in the future. The Meat Lover's pizza was worthy of 4 stars, but everything else really only deserves 2 stars, so I took the average. We ordered a large Margherita pizza, an order of mozzarella sticks, an order of onion rings, and a small Meat Lover's pizza. Portions were good, but the quality was pretty bad. The Margherita pizza used dried specks of basil rather than fresh basil leaves, and Westbrook Pizza's version of a Margherita pizza has onions for some odd reason. There was so much onion, in fact, that it made the pizza unpalatable. The onion rings were burnt and didn't come with any condiments. The mozzarella sticks were okay and came with marinara dipping sauce, but the cheese was oddly hard instead of melted and stringy like you would normally expect for mozzarella sticks. read more

Westbrook Pizza to the rescue in the middle of a pandemic! We ordered two pizzas from here for dinner on a Friday night for delivery while we were renting a beach house in CT. Delivery was on time, they didn't skimp on toppings like some places do, and gave us ranch dressing as requested. I usually don't like eating the crust but I ate it all! At the time I tried this pizza, it had a 4.5 star rating. Well, it turns out the folks who reviewed this place before me have never had great pizza before. This pizza was a dud. Sauce was really acidic and had that tin-can taste. No way close to 4.5 stars. It was about on par with a frozen pizza except the acidity it really going to prevent me from going back. Well the first verdict is in and coming from New York where Pizza is King I will say this place comes close enough to be named Queen. In simpler terms this pizza is good. Ordered 2 large pies and one of them was cut in squares which works best when your traveling with kids. We also ordered a "Grinder" which is a hero and in this case Sausage and peppers and that was delish... This place sits just outside of The Waters Edge & Spa Resort and they do deliver but only to the Resort..Its New and decorated nicely. Friendly staff , fair prices and despite the lack of seating inside the few tables outside are a nice touch. I have in visiting for the last 3 months usually once a week. I've got two favorites. Their Clams Casino pizza is unbelievable! We have ordered between 8 and 10 of them and every one was excellent. Very light, cooked perfectly with fresh ingredients. My daughter loves there hamburger grinder and I love their buffalo chicken grinder. The staff is very friendly and efficient and the chefs do a great job! read more

Just one bad experience in quite a few visits--burned bottom on a take-out pizza--and this was immediately remedied with a refund and free pizza by the awesome manager on duty (Noelle I think? The one that looks like she could throat punch an unruly customer straight out the door). We ordered takeout for a group of five during vacation. I ordered a small Greek pizza with added grilled chicken, and a ten piece Carolina bbq wing. The pizza was loaded with toppings and seasoned with oregano. It would of been a five star pizza, but the crust was wet and soggy. The wings were huge, meaty, and cooked perfectly. I loved the Carolina bbq sauce, it wasn't hot, but sweet and vinegary. My son had an order of chicken tenders and fries. Huge portion, but the fries were dry, unseasoned, and a bit over cooked. Another person raved over the wings, saying they could be the best they've had, but didn't get the blue cheese dipping sauce they asked for. Chicken Parm was kind of average, with underwhelming sauce. Cheeseburger grinder was great, and the bread was awesome, as was the meatball grinder. Overall, I would order again if in the area. The cashier was very rude, and when told it was wrong she proceeded to say "idk." This was terrible customer service. Tonight I ordered a large pizza and large salad for my husband and I (plus our pup). I used the order ahead online feature and it was simple to do. I ordered a buffalo chicken salad. It left a lot to be desired for a $11 salad. It was small, and maybe had 3 oz of chicken ( that's being generous). Chicken had the texture of chicken breast being microwaved and literally having hot sauce splashed in top of it- some pieces didn't have any sauce. I didn't have the pizza that day, however the pies they had on display for single slices looked delicious. I would probably not go back just due to over pricing and being able to get better within the same area. Restaurant appeared clean, and the staff was unremarked. Not good or bad. read more
