I had used West previously so I wasn't anticipating any issues. The car was not operable due to a drive shifter issue. I called AAA and they referred me to West. We needed to have the car towed from house to the dealer for service. The driver was nice, and very careful loading up the car so everything seemed fine. When I asked him to hand the key to the dealer service rep, he said he'd just drop the car in the first available spot because the dealership is under construction and very busy. I immediately called the dealer to tell them the car would be there in about 30 min. The car was towed to the dealer, but the key was NOT handed to anyone and somehow lost! The driver claimed to have left it in the cup holder yet the dealer valet and service team could not locate it. Now, no one claims responsibility and we're out $200 to replace the key. West claims that it is routine for their drivers to just leave the key, but doesn't it seem reasonable to hand it off to an employee during business hours? Oh, and I had to drive to the dealer to provide the only remaining key so they could work on the car. Again, what seemed like good, careful service was lacking responsibility in something as simple as providing the car key to a dealer employee. I wouldn't recommend West again to deliver a car to a location. It seems it's their policy to drop it and leave. read more

These guys are scumbags. They towed my neighbors car illegally from private property and then held it ransom for over a 4 day holiday weekend knowing they'd have no choice but to pay it. These guys are wholly untrustworthy. But you don't need to take my word for it, you can read all of the one star reviews pointing out other incidents related to poor mechanics, unlawful towing, stolen personal items. Feb 26th my family lost my eldest daughter to a fetal car crash on green st. I'm writing this post to give fair warning for anyone dealing with west st garage/towing. These guys are the ones who showed up to tow and store the car while state and local police did there investigating. When the car was cleared my wife and I went to the car to both clean it out and give them permission to remove the car. Appon cleaning out the car we noticed that the only two items of worth in the car were missing. My wife then called the gardner pd asking about these items, we were informed that the Nintendo switch was on the back seat of the car when the lt went to retrieve her phone for us. Now mind u my wife climbed in the wreck to retrieve anything we could that was hers. The pd then called the garage and inquired about it, all of a sudden the switch reappeared in the shop?? We are also missing the touch screen radio that was brand new in the box in the trunk, box is there fully intact but empty. I mean who fucking does that?? Scum bags. So please if your doing business with WEST ST GARAGE/TOWING remove all your valuable items as they feel it's a free for all.. read more

I called AAA to get a tow. West St Auto was the place that was gonna tow my vehicle. So I went there to just drop off key and give the info to them. AAA said it would be a hr it was 9. Went inside, gave them the key and info. The man at the front desk, Dave said they would pick it up at 12! I said AAA said it would be picked up by 10! He said nope no hurry now! I said yes there is my garage was waiting to fix it! He looked at me then said well then take the key and ya can go wait in the car then. I said so your really gonna make me go wait in the 29* weather to wait cause I need it done in the allotted time that was given??!! He said yep. I said fine give me the key I'll go wait in the car then!!! I couldn't believe it !!! I turned to leave and as I was leaving he said F**k You!!!!!!!! I turned and said no F**k you! And walked out! I couldn't believe it!! I was so upset!!! 1st my drive shaft dropped in my Jeep ! Then have to get a tow! Then to have the service man '"Dave" tell me to F**k off!! Was to much!! I couldn't believe it!!! Now I'm so wrong for saying that back to him!!! So bad that felt. But I pay a lot of money to AAA for my auto needs for a reason. 1 of which they are AAA SERVICE!! But to be treated like that was horrible ! I shouldn't have to deal with that kind of business! West St Auto should have good people working for them and I was treated so unprofessionally! Awful!!! I am incredibly annoyed with this place. I am also disappointed in them for the way they have done business. Let me tell you why. I brought my car here for a problem with overheating and antifreeze leak. (Speedy sent me here as the issue may have been an internal leak of antifreeze or something more complicated than they could handle.) My car continues to overheat, by the way, after having close to $500 of work done on my car by West Street. First they replaced my radiator, then the thermostat on the second visit, then the temperature sensor. I am certain that they left a plug loose also, because when I left there was a loud rattling noise that was not there before. They charged me even after doing a crap job on my car for the $15 of antifreeze that was lost, when that is the job I paid them to do the first time. The lady said at the front desk "We are only human". Yes, I understand that, but this is a business with supposed "expertise". And we are not talking about spilled milk. My car is my livelihood. They claim to be AAA certified. I am not sure how long that will last. I would like to be reimbursed for the work I have had dome by them, as they clearly do not know how to fix a problem and they are not willing to admit that. read more

Took my car in because I had a check engine light for an EVAP problem. I also needed an oil change. They were able to diagnose and fix the problem very quickly and they had my car finished in less than a day. Great customer service! I have brought two cars to be serviced here and they are the best. I was told at another service center that my speed sensors on my toyota needed to be replaced, and that there was no way they could tell which of the four were the one needing replacement. A second opinion at West Street was a great idea. They informed me that it was the rear passenger side sensor! What's more, an older car I owned had a check engine light on that happened to be caused be a defective gas cover. Instead of finding (or making up) more things to fix, they were honest and told me it was a $9 fix! I will always use these guys, and I hope you will too. Friendly, honest, and timely service.
