After backing into a concrete retaining wall and having aesthetic damage to my rear bumper, I was not really sure what to do first. I had never needed body work before, so I was very naive about the process or even the cost it might be for a repair. I didn't necessarily want to go to my insurance right away just in case I decided to pay out of pocket. I stopped by West Reno Auto Body one day after work just to see what I could learn. It's a pretty simple shop, so when I pulled up to the side of the building and walked in the small office door no one was there. I headed back outside to peek through the garage door. A couple of men greeted me, and I asked if I could get a quote for some damage on my bumper. Armando, the owner, right away he took a look at my car and assessed the damage. He then invited me inside the office as he drew up a quote. He was very professional and willing to help keep costs low especially if I was not going through my insurance company. The quote was reasonable. I ended up not going with West Reno Auto Body simply because the cost was right on the cusp for insurance purposes, so I decided to go with a different shop that was recommended to me by a family member that provide more luxe service that digs deep into the computer and mechanical issues with my backup sensor. He runs a simple, no-frills shop and is very straightforward. Armando would be my choice for any strictly aesthetic body work. read more
