This is the best pharmacy in Olympia!!! Hands down. We have been going to this pharmacy for 26 yrs. The 1st owner was Terry, the second was Jim and now Eric. All three were/are excellent pharmacists. At one time the phone was not getting answered and you would have to leave a message. Sometimes the messages were missed and meds were not filled. Since Eric has taken over the phones are being answered and prescriptions are ready when they say that they will be. I don't care who you are there is a learning curve...walking into a business and trying to figure out how all the moving parts fit together would be tough. Jim had his struggles when he first took over. Don't give up on them just yet! Eric will figure it all out. Of course there's Sarah she knows that business inside and out! Raphael is new to the business and there is also another new hire. So that leaves Sarah trying to help everyone stay in lockstep w/each other. The owner Jim retired and sold the business to a colglomorate. THe nice lady mentioned in the review was Sarah. Staff don't show up on Saturdays now. Occasioanlly Jim subs, and he is excellent, in but I have not had one order that has been filled on time and completely for the last two months. Their new system is a disaster. Many of my meds were lost in the translation. wish it could go back to what it was, but I would advise going elsewhere. read more

I'm not sure what has happened here over the last two months or so. There used to be a wonderful older woman working the drive-up window, and she was always friendly and fast. 5 star service. She also knew us by our car, since we're there a lot. They pretty much provided what we needed when we needed it. We felt good about supporting a small, local pharmacy, so things were groovy. Sadly, I haven't seen her around lately. In her place are a rotating pair of younger men who don't seem to understand quite what their job entails. I'm pretty sure pharmacy techs need specific schooling, but maybe these fellows skipped some classes? The drive-up window has become abysmally slow. Multiple trips to pick up prescriptions because they aren't filled has become the norm. Try calling to see if things are ready? Yeah, no, they don't answer the phone. Last time I was there, I waited 3 minutes for someone to come to the window and ANOTHER 7 minutes for them to come back to the window to tell me that the meds were still being filled. So we're probably done here. There is another small pharmacy in the area that we'll try. Can't be much worse. read more

Unfortunately, I have to agree with several other reviews. I called to request a refill for my prescription for at least a week and a half, and the call was never picked up. After leaving several voicemails, I had to go to the pharmacy to request a refill in person. I also tried their online service, which did not work to refill (error codes). At that point, the prescription had run out, even though I tried to get in contact with the pharmacy well before it was empty. On the bright side, my first fill of the prescription was much cheaper than another pharmacy I had gone to. read more

Firstly, They don't often answer the phone. Unfriendly and they give you the run around instead of being honest about filling a RX scrip, whether they can or not. Very dank and dark inside with not much front end retail. read more

Such a nice pharmacy. Small enough to get individual attention but also has a good variety of the OTC products. My prescription was out of stock, due to demand, but they kept me posted on when it would be available. The staff is friendly and had my prescription ready to go when I arrived. Excellent. read more

Unprofessional and the worse service. These guys do not return calls or messages, and will lose your prescriptions. Then justify that they only fill eprescriptions, which I've never had an issue with before. Do yourself a favor and don't bother doing business with them. Like the reviews below say, they really just think that it is okay to blow you off. And I would be highly skeptical of the 5 star reviews. read more

I have used 4 area pharmacy's and West Olympia Pharmacy is vastly superior to the others. They care about their patients well-being more than all the others. Pill counts are correct- again better than the others. Any discounts are used, saving me $$. Jim and staff are the best. Hope that leftist mask Karen did leave. But they lie so often, she's probably still using them. read more

I went here for the first time to get a Covid booster. They could not run my insurance, which I use all the time without any problems. I just paid cash. They forgot to give me a card with proof of vaccination. I called to see if they could slip it in the mail because driving Is hard for me at this time. They said no. I asked the manager/owner to give me a call. I was going to let him know I have a PO Box and it would be safe to send. I would be willing to pay postage. I never received a call back and every time I called they would not answer the phone. This is highly unprofessional. I pulled up the Washington State Covid records, and the lot number is missing from the website. Every other Pharmacy had put that on the records with the state. The state said I would have to go to pharmacy and get the lot number, give it to my doctor and then the doctor can update it on the website. I would never trust them to take care of my family by filling prescriptions here. I am very disappointed. This is unacceptable behavior for someone in this type of business. read more

Before the Corona virus hit I would have given West Olympia Pharmacy 5 stars. Small, friendly, mostly helpful staff, a convenient drive up window, local business. Not anymore. After noticing that not one worker was wearing masks in this small shop where workers stand shoulder to shoulder and dispense through a regular sliding window (not the banker type drawer) I asked to talk to the head pharmacist, Jim Perrou, who by the way was also not wearing a mask. I asked him why they chose not to follow the Thurston County Health Department directive, CDC guidelines, and recommendations from the American Pharmacists Association on wearing masks. He said there were a few studies that said that wearing masks was of no use and that he and the other workers there were not *required* to do so. I reminded him that the studies that showed mask use as effective vastly outnumbered the studies he mentioned. I also reminded him that he had requested on both his website and his Facebook page that customers protect the staff by using the drive through window. I pointed out that it was a good idea that he and his staff in return protect their customers, many of whom are immune compromised and probably far more vulnerable than most of his staff. I also reminded him that as a pharmacist, he had taken an oath to protect his customers/patients. I told him I sincerely hoped this was not motivated by politics, as this is a health issue, not a political issue. He basically blew me off. I am moving my prescriptions to another pharmacy. I am appalled that there are still businesses (especially in healthcare!!) that would choose to risk my health and possibly my life rather than wear a piece of cloth over their faces! Even if not required (yet) it is still the ethical thing to do, especially when working with vulnerable populations. I'm curious whether or not they will comply with the Governor's mask order that goes into effect June 26. read more
