Surprised me when I went BACK after dinner to the same store to return an item I bought earlier today only to find that CUSTOMER SERVICE closes at 7pm. That's NOT serving the customer. This store is in the middle of a full renovation and reset. Beware that stuff has moved around, and they are still resetting. I went to Walmart and it was approx. 7:45pm. I needed to return an item only to find out the customer service department closed at 7. Closed at 7? What, why? People work until after 5 and even later, so to close your customer service department at 7pm is a bit ludicrous wouldn't you think. I wasn't happy. I travel up and down the I-5 corridor and actually do curbside pickups at several Walmarts. I know for a fact Walmarts in Tacoma, Puyallup area close customer service at 8pm. Why is this not a standard time for all Walmarts? I couldn't find anything advising me this store's CSD closes at 7. Open your eyes Walmart your dealing with the public. Make it more user friendly for the customers and not your payroll budget. Because 7pm for CS to close is outrageous and I'm floored that upper management doesn't see how inconvenient 7pm is for its customers. Shame on you. read more

This Walmart location consistently struggles with staffing and customer service. The checkout area is often short on cashiers, and the self-checkout machines frequently malfunction, causing long delays. The subway inside the store also presents concerns. I observed employees handling chemicals in the the back without changing their gloves before returning to food preparations. Service I was struggling looking for a specific item, and when a customer service named Itima, I'm not sure the spelling, saw me that I was frustrated she asked me if if I needed help. I was happy that she approached me. She spent a few minutes with me and located the item that I needed. Sadly, it was out of stock. Selection They have a variety of products, different brand that one can choose from. Value Prices are moderate and affordable. You get what you pay for. It's good for everyday use and consumption. Walmart might have bad reviews, but Itima, customer service in Lacey on Galaxy Rd, deserves the recognition that she deserves. read more

We decided that it was fine because his bed would go over it anyway, but then I look at the side and see there's another crack so of course I had to go back in and return it and they didn't take it back and they wouldn't give me my money back but they gave me a different carrier so atleast we got a carrier but i am unhappy that the first one wasn't even on sale so how was anyone supposed to know it was damaged, usually the returned items are on sale so i wish it atleast would've been on sale. read more

A Masterclass in Frustration -- Walmart's Outdated Payment System Wasted My Time Let me get this straight--it's 2025 and Walmart still doesn't accept Apple Pay. After half an hour of carefully shopping, I was blindsided at checkout with the realization that their payment system is stuck in 2012. No big deal, I thought. I'll just manually enter my credit card number. That's standard... right? Nope. The employee near the register sent me to Customer Service. Fifteen more minutes wasted in line, only to be told their system can't handle that--but "just use the Walmart app." Fine. I do. It fails. I try another card. Still declined. So now I'm trekking to my car (parked halfway to the next zip code) to get my physical wallet--because apparently Walmart only believes in plastic and prayer. When I return, my cart is gone. The greeter shrugs and tells me to head back to Customer Service to reclaim it--yet another roundtrip across the store. Reunited with my cart, I re-scan every item like it's Groundhog Day, and finally--miraculously--I'm allowed to pay with the exact same card their app rejected ten minutes earlier. All told, over thirty minutes wasted trying to do one very basic thing: give Walmart my money. No signage warning about unsupported payment types. No competent system to help resolve issues. Just a company too massive to care and too outdated to function. One star--because zero isn't an option. read more

went yesterday to get several items. They had a $2 pack of battery terminal automotive grease LOCKED UP in a case. yes a TWO DOLLAR pack. It took THREE attempts to get someone to unlock the case. The first person, rather than helping me, decided to tell me I HAD to track down the department manager. The person who finally did come, would not let me get the packs and continue shopping. I had to pay immediately. Mind you these are TWO DOLLAR packs. Not an expensive TV or Jewelry. I was so angry, I told her, I had a lot of other things to get, so now I am taking ALL of my business elsewhere. I left the store immediately. I had many items to get, not including groceries. You lost probably around $100 in business due to your lack of customer service, your insane locking up of a ridiculously cheap item, and your general lack of trusting customers. If you have a theft, problem, this is NOT the way to control it. COSTCO checks receipts at the door - maybe try that because your door checkers don't really do their job either. I'm not going to be inconvenienced when shopping. It's YOUR job to make my experience as easy as possible. I bought everything I needed across the street. read more

This Walmart had me both about to crash out and quite literally on the floor laughing my ass off. For a Walmart with such a fancy outside, the inside is anything but. I'm convinced it's a money laundering scheme or a front for criminal activity. When we walked in we were wanting water, so we headed to the water fountain, but it didn't work properly. It didn't just not work at al--it would blast water all the way across the water fountain and onto the floor, but only for half a second before reverting to having a weak stream that didn't come off the spout enough to drink. If you spam pressed it, it would just not shoot it out, so you had to like press it and wait a second or two before pressing it again. It wasn't able to quench our thirst that way, so we headed over to the first checkout lane water cooler we found--and it literally had its lights off and was not chilled despite being completely filled with water bottles. When it came to browsing the store, it was even weirder. They somehow manage to have nothing (barely any options for almond milk compared to the Tumwater Walmart, only two bags of dog food, an entire row of shelves that were all completely empty except for a single jug of fruit punch) and way too much (three entire sections of fridge with nothing but Great Value whole milk and another two with nothing but Great Value 2% milk, two shelves of the same exact Franz hotdog buns, half an aisle that was just Great Value vegetable oil and canola oil, and the bread aisle being completely stocked but only with the same six bread brands and types). The layout is weird too. Picture this: you're walking down one of those strips between sections of the store that have the displays in the middle, and the displays are of underwear, but on one side of you is the alcohol, and on the other side is the baby formula. That is what I experienced. Why is it like that? Why is the coffee aisle the one directly facing the checkout? It feels like the layout of this store was designed specifically for the soldiers and airmen who commute to JBLM. Coffee in the front because you're overworked, don't get enough sleep, and need to be in and out of the store as quickly as possible so you can get your coffee in before your hour drive to base, and alcohol and baby stuff in the same area because... well, you made a mistake and want to forget it, but don't want to traverse the whole store. Other weird occurrences are as follows: Aisles that you can barely fit your cart into and aisles you could line up four carts side-by-side in, an immense amount of workers (we're talking like a 5:1 employee-customer ratio) that seem to herd together in groups of three to eight in random spots throughout the store, potentially risky renovations happening while the store is open (a giant sign was being taken down and we heard it shift, to which the guy taking it down said "fuck...", and there were just spinning fan blades left uncovered and able to be touched), a British employee whose accent sounded way stronger and more stereotypically posh than normal, which wasn't too crazy because nearly every worker in there was foreign, a pet tag machine with NOTHING else around it, a skibidi toilet toy section (not kidding), a haunted women's restroom, many opened but unfinished drinks left around the store, an interesting playlist (careless whisper played mid mental breakdown at everything else wrong with this place), a parking lot the size of Rhode Island, and an area by the bus stop which can only be described as an inverted hill that serves as a graveyard for approximately seven shopping carts. Oh, and they sell single hot pockets. I've never seen anywhere sell boxes of any less than two--not even gas stations. Some of this may be able to be attributed to the renovations that have been going on for over a month now, but so much of it cannot. read more

The location is convenient for me and I like the sales but this is the worst Walmart I have shopped at. They don't put price tags on non-food items anymore and I don't buy anything without knowing the price. The produce is always spoiled, even the potatoes are past their prime. Cheese has been moldy. I was told to put all my items on the counter at self checkout so the cameras can see what I'm doing because there has been too much theft going on and left feeling like I was accused of stealing and thinking "you know when you have reached the bottom of the barrel" when you leave a shopping experience feeling like that. read more

Waiting for a worker to come unlock this, I've had 5 workers walk by, two of which I have asked if they had a key, one of which I asked if he had a radio. He was super sweet but they didn't have either and said I had to press the button. He said they have headsets and a message goes through it and to press it a lot. Why is it all your drivery drivers can't read addresses.. today's order delivered to "only God knows". I have 3 address signs in my yard yet they can't deliver correctly. When i called customer service, they asked if I call delivery driver -- then she proceeded to tell me that delivery driver (Jorge) doesn't speak English. That doesn't do me any good. I'm ready to cancel my Walmart plus - this is ridiculous and then I have to go to store anyway because someone can't do their job. If this comes across as me being pissed - you'd be right. Get your act together. We are in the USA, for God's sac, hire English speaking drivers. We order weekly and of the last 4 weeks, we've only gotten 2 deliveries correctly. read more

Horrible customer service at this Walmart. I had a windshield wiper fly off my vehicle on the freeway. Pulled off and stopped at this Walmart in the afternoon for replacement before heading on w my trip. I bought the wrong size wiper blades. My bad. I went back in to return them. The customer service lady gave me a huge attitude about it, implying I was trying to steal from Walmart (somehow????). Manager approved my return. Customer service lady refunded me but was extremely snarky about it questioning even why they were wet (because it's raining outside right????) My doctors send a prescription to this pharmacy, on several occasions, they either delay it ( when I am supposed to take it that day) or are out of stock. I have a critical infection that is started to spread up my leg from my toe. This was delayed also. My dog has epilepsy and takes Phenobarbital, I called the Vet to call Walmart a week ahead to make sure it would be ready in time before she's out of her meds. She was out of it, so I was short one day. They told me to come back the next day. I said I need it now. I threatened to call my Vet who approved it. They said they'd call. 10 minutes it was ready. I almost always have to fight them. I'm switching pharmacies. I'm done with them. read more

No store owner or manager on site ever and does not know how to manage a hot dog stand let alone a Walmart store.. employees blame corporate yet it's the stupid store manager because no other Walmarts in area do this, just lacey wa location... Pretty average Wally's! A friend was in town on a cross-country road trip and we spent a day in Olympia doing outdoor activities. She needed a few things from the store for her dog and for our adventure. They had everything we needed with a good selection to choose from. My friend's little dog loved his new toy she bought as an unplanned impulse buy. It was very busy on a holiday Monday and took awhile to find what we needed and get out of there. Most people did not seem to respect the 6 ft of space CDC guidelines as the store was packed with shoppers. It is probably advisable to visit this location (and others) early in the morning or late in the evening to avoid crowds of people during this COVID-19 era of distancing. read more

Their toy department is nearly always sold out of action figures and it seems like no one cares to stock them. If I worked at this Walmart and was responsible for this toy section I would be embarrassed. If you are looking for action figures, you are better off looking at the nearby Gamestop. I went to Walmart to pick up a prescription for my elderly father who just had a medical procedure. I'm here from out of town supporting him. As I was walking up, they literally closed the window on me. I asked them if I could pick up an RX and they yelled through the screen "we are on lunch". There were like six people working. Couldn't they stagger their lunches rather than shutting down the whole pharmacy?? I went to complain to "management" and was told that the person I interacted with was the pharmacy manager. No one cares. The "lunch" closure is not posted on their web site etc. I can't pick it up for him now because I have to go to the airport to go back home. Not sure when he will get it. Piss poor customer service!! Went to return an online purchase. Failed to communicate that my refund could take over a week, failed to communicate that I'd have to pay a restocking fee and failed to communicate the item that was sent free shipping was going to cost me $10 for return shipping. The "fees" were more than 1/2 of the cost of the item! Absolutely ridiculous!!!!! I already dislike this place AND now I will not shop there unless it's an absolute emergency. I went to get some things with a friend we both had less then 15 items and went to self checkout the worker who was working was vary rude was targeted my friend kept starting us down it made me uncomfortable watched us scan everything and was just rude with what he was saying asked us if we scanned the 2 things on the bottom after watching us so we showed him her receipt and after I was done scanning my stuff I was like do you wanna see mine and he didn't want to. Told us to have a good day but was rude about it he also made someone show him their id but didn't ask for my friends when both buying cough medicine was just vary rude and was eyeing us and was just not vary nice. This Walmart recently went through a remodel. I believe it was to make room for the liquor that grocery stores were allowed to sell based on the law change. Anyway, I give this Walmart 3.5 stars. You just need to know how to work a Walmart. It's very easy to get in and get out and if you're one that likes a lot of customer service then I'm sure you can wait in line and possibly get a friendly cashier. Truth is most people have worked at Walmart at some point in their life or at some grocery store or waited tables or some sort of job that most people find menial. I've worked for Walmart so I know what it's like to have to deal with so many different people and so many different problems and there are still people that care about providing a service to a customer. Aside from my soapbox, after the remodel I did notice a few items that I used to buy were no longer there and I am having to go to Winco to get them. Winco is cheaper on most items anyway but I like that Walmart has the self checkouts which aren't that hard to use if people are patient and stop skipping the bagging of items they actually put in their bags. I also like the general selection of items at Walmart. I always seem to be able to find what I need, although I know many don't find everything they need especially when shopping for a family. I don't like that when it rains people park in the fire lanes and make it hard to see pedestrians. I also don't like the general layout of the parking lot. Some lanes are ups and some are downs. There is only one exit if you park on the grocery side. Ugh! I don't really like the produce section either. There isn't a big selection and what is there is usually picked over and/or in a various state of decay. I am being more than fair with 3.5 stars read more

Gave a bill and searched for change. The coins I handed the cashier were too much because I had given a dime instead of a nickel. When I offered to give a nickel in exchange for the dime. The cashier told me that she was not allowed to give money back once the customer had given it. I was just trying to give her exact change, but instead I had to receive pennies out of the cash register instead of giving her the change from my purse. Is this a stupid corporate rule, or is it a cashier who can't think beyond what the computer tells her? If it is a cashier problem, then that is simply inconvenient. If it is a corporate rule, that is something that could open doors to problematic behavior. Either way, if you must shop here, and if you use cash, make sure you know exactly what you are giving to the cashier beforehand. read more

This wal mart has degraded so bad. That i now go to winco's for food. Clothing elsewhere. The only thing I go here is to pick up medications. Iighy just have to have it delivered through mail instead of going here.. This walmart once was a great place to shop and just browse and most likely buy something on the way out even though I don't need it. But now customer service appearance of the store is so low. I had injured my knee and it was very obvious that I was injured. They were out of the scooters on one side of the store. I asked the greeter if it was possible for them to call or walkie to the other side to see if there were any over there. She said nope. An elderly gentleman was taking his scooter out to the parking lot and she said, "you can go after him and get that cart." I looked at her and said, " are you serious? You want me to stalk after a customer and grab their cart?" I ended up hobbling over to the other side of the store and almost fighting someone for the stupid go cart. I actually had a flipping brace on my knee...forget this place...customer service is crap. read more

I would give a 0 if I could but 1 is the lowest I can go. SIA the "Team Lead" is hands down the rudest, most unhelpful customer service representative I've ever dealt with in all my life, and I've worked at the DMV. We waited in line on Christmas Eve to get our last minute purchases. We needed to get a couple gifts as well as gift cards. There was an issue with purchasing multiple cards due to fraud awareness or whatever which is understandable. MY issue is with the fact that nobody was able to tell us what the problem is. Then comes the "supervisor" who was just as useless as anyone else. Not only was she unwilling to even try to get us a new gift card to try and purchase on a different credit card- she SNATCHED it out of my wife's hand and KICKED US OUT. Last time was told she just didn't have time to help she was already running behind. Then was told the computer shows 250 cases, but they can't locate them. Lol! Horrible call center in Lacy Washington. Called for 4 hours trying to reach garden center to no avail. Was hung up on twice by reception and endless ringing within garden department. Mid day Saturday, unacceptable. Asked for manager and was told the best she could do was "customer service", well that's definitely an over statement, zero customer service, because they didn't answer either. Upper management must get a handle on their operations, as well as proper placement of operators that speak clearly and concisely,,,I'll say no more about that subject, that's another story in itself. read more

This store is complete garbage. I've been coming here despite my wife's wishes and now I will concede. She was right as always. I was in a hurry today, grabbed a cart which is near the exit door I guess. I started to go in the door to the left to be berated by older man at door. He was yelling at the top of his lungs about me coming in the wrong door. I was made aware Covid pays attention to direction I guess. He didn't need to yell, point at me like a playground aid at recess telling a kid to stand at the wall. It was embarrassing as can be. I spoke a manager only to be told he was only doing his job and that she was sorry he handled it that way. He needs to be in a warehouse where customers are not a focus.
